Nice quite ,central location with easy walks into town. Weather was also good for our stay which helped. This allowed us to use the good outside amenities at the lodge. The external seating within the facility.

Nothing really , if picky I am not a fan off leather seating . Tend to stick on it when its hot .

Great location - very peaceful and within walking distance of lovely local shops. Briefly chatted to the owners who were very friendly but left us to ourselves. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Really enjoyed our stay - perfect base for somewhere to come back to after hiking when the weather can be changeable.

Completely uderstand the need to not let people turn up the heating too far at the moment but it was very very cosy! We found we were a bit too hot and had to switch off the radiators at the plugs so would be good to be able to adjust the heating down if possible. Imagine it'll be absolutely perfect in Winter though!

Walking distance to almost everything I needed in the village shopping area. The proximity to Balmoral Castle really surprised me too. Well manicured and very quiet neighbourhood, exactly what I wanted for a good break. Full marks to the self-catering facilities and cottage arrangement.

Living Room and Kitchen facilities excellent, when we got home we bought the same swing bin in the kitchen! Bedding was lovely and clean and all seemed new which was nice.

Bed was a little small, we are more used to a kingsize.

Lock didn’t work on the bathroom/toilet door. Bin and under the beds were grubby.

Nice lodge on small site of 7. Good facilities, including washing machine and dryer available. An easy 5 minute walk to Ballater which is lovely.

Gordon Is so friendly , nothing is too much trouble. Lodges are great . Everything you need. Perfect spot for walking into the centre. Little park for the kids , totally safe & peaceful. This was our third visit.

A little bit of building work going on over the wall. Nothing anyone can do about that.

I really appreciated that the owners left some milk and biscuits for me. I loved the location of the lodge, it was really central however so quiet! It was beautifully presented and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere the lodge provided.
