It was just what I needed for my solo trip.

The kitchen could be a bit more equipped for those of us who prefer to cook rather than eat out.

Sharing of bathroom. Host was not there to greet on arrival and had to wait an hour for him. Host was not aware of departure date and entered room when i was still in room.

Good room for the money next to beach

This is a hidden gem and is perfectly situated right in the heart of town. You really couldn't ask for a better location. My case hadn't been sent on my connecting flight but there were already good quality toiletries already provided in the apartment. It was a good sized room with air con and a good sized TV with Netflix also. The owner was very approachable and always around if needed. Just to be aware as I wasn't but there is no hot water, however, I easily managed showering as the temperature was luke warm so really didn't bother me and shouldn't put people off. I will definitely stay here again.

It is central and well connected. It is clean. Andrae and family were friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect- just in the center and in front of the beach. It has a nice terrace, where you can watch the sunset. The room is big enough and has everything you need: AC, fridge, stove, microwave, washing maschine etc. The owner Andrae is nice and helps you in everything you ask for. Also it's probably the cheapest place to stay in SXM.

Well the building is very damaged so it's dangerous in my eyes of an architect to stay inside. When it rains (and it happened every night) it is very loud because of the unisolated roof and it was raining into the room (there are some holes in the roof). The windows didn't close completely either. There was no warm water (!!!) and no soap (which i didn't really expect), only a male shower gel in the shower as if somebody has forgotten to take it or clean after the last guest. There was a coakroach in my room one morning (which is not a big deal in the carribean climate) and another dead one behind a glass in the sleeping room, which stuck there some time ago. There was no curtain in the bathroom (there is a big wall in front of the window, but there is an angle that everybody can see you taking a shower, especially at night). The other curtains were transparent and there are many lamps on the street. The fridge was there to use, but it was so loud and old that I turned it off. There is no reception at the night time and the gate stays always open, so as solo traveller you might not feel very safe, even if the owner is easy reachable per whatsapp. As I was not paying too much attention to Andrae's new business of renting cars and selling expensive trips, he didn't really spend much time to explain me the places to visit or didn't recommend any place to eat or anything to do (some other people in random shops had more time for me). So to resume, it was fine to spend some nights in the place, but it was not a nice stay.

Extended my stay and felt very welcomed. good location next to beach, restaurants and shops. always helpful owner with recommendations where to go. also easy communication during booking. would recommend.
