Perfect location, nice room, very comfortable bed, pool area with amazing views

You can hear everything on the hallway, not very noise cancelling. Pool area is great but could be i bit bigger. Access to the room is via code it was not working so it made the check in progress unnecessarily long and inconvenient.

De ligging van het hotel, vlakbij het centrum van Estepona, is uiteraard een bonus. Die nieuwe en zeer verzorgde hotel ligt op een rustige plaats aan een klein pleintje op wandelafstand van leuke restaurants, winkels, strand,... Alle communicatie verloopt via Whatsapp. Communicatie vanuit het hotel omtrent parkeren, mogelijkheden tot ontspanning,... hadden we dus al op zak voor we arriveerden. Het ontvangst was hartelijk en bracht ons meteen in vakantiestemming.

Estepona is in volle ontwikkeling en men investeert veel in de opfrissing van de mooie boulevards. Dat wil uiteraard zeggen dat de bereikbaarheid van ons hotel tijdelijk werd bemoeilijkt en we met onze bagage een serieuze afstand te voet moeten afleggen over los zand en stenen om het hotel te bereiken. Dit is echter een tijdelijk ongemak en in de nabije toekomst zullen deze werken alleen maar het beeld van Estepona nog doen verbeteren.

We have stayed at this hotel twice before and the service, food, cleanliness, friendliness of all the staff and the free Wi-Fi is still as good as our first visit. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we visit Estepona again.

Nuestra habitación estaba en la última planta y era perfecta lo único que no la ofrecería para parejas porque estaba comunicada con otro habitación y se oía todo. En mi opinión ese tipo de habitación son para familias u otro tipo de huéspedes

All of the staff were absolutely excellent - I can't fault them. The gentleman on reception who welcomed me and booked me in (and seemed to never have a day off), was extremely pleasant and always helpful. Also the lady who worked with him most days was too. Sorry, I don't know their names. I was always made to feel very welcome by all the staff I encountered. Estrella was particularly very friendly every time I met her at breakfast and she gave me a hug very early this morning as I was leaving to fly back to the UK, which was a very nice thing to do. It's often the little things that mean a lot. My plan is to retire to Spain in the next few months and I am going to various places to see where I will go to live. I have spent most of my life working abroad and have always had a good rapport with the local people in the countries where I have worked. I felt this warmth from the staff at the Estepona Plaza Hotel. It is something for which the staff should all feel proud and the owner, too, for employing great staff who have such a good work ethic!! Absolutely commendable! Also, the free water and beer being put in the fridge daily was a nice gesture. I will definitely go back again soon, maybe not to stay overnight, because of the sewer smell and the connecting door problem but will return to see the staff and maybe have a meal there. I always ate out during my stay but wish that I had had a meal at the hotel, rather than just breakfast. (I had a dreadful dining experience at an expensive fish restaurant nearby the hotel yesterday but I will not allow it to it spoil my Estepona experience.)

I was annoyed to find that very noisy building work was going on outside in the street and this had not been mentioned when I was booking my stay at the hotel. I hated the smell coming from the sewers up into my bathroom - I felt sick all the time I smelt it. My room was very small. I didn't like the fact that there was a door connecting my room, with the next-door room. Though the door was boarded up, I didn't feel secure. Also, it meant that the sound carried through between the rooms. I could hear everything that was going on in the next-door room and for a lot of the time this was quite embarrassing and it disturbed my sleep and relaxation time. Luckily I think the guests in that room vacated the hotel yesterday. I didn't like the fact that the square was noisy with people out enjoying themselves until very late at night (0100-ish) and then noisy again early in the morning with workmen (0530-ish). However, I suppose this is to be expected considering the location of the hotel.

Die Lage am Platz Ortiz mit mehreren Restaurants und dem fußläufigen Strand ist so super. Das Hotelrestaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auch das leckere Frühstück hat uns immer für den Tag gestärkt. Die Aussicht über Estepona bis nach Gibraltar und Marokko aus dem Dachpool auf der siebten Etage ist grandios. Das Personal war stets mehr als freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Negativ zu erwähnen sind die leicht hellhörigen Zimmer. Mit dem quirligen Abend-, Nachtleben unten am Platz konnten wir gut einschlafen. Das eckige Waschbecken hätte funktionaler sein können. Die anfängliche Parkhaussuche war etwas schwierig. Mit dem einfachen Tip von Elisa an der Rezeption haben wir es dann doch gefunden.

Everything about this hotel is lovely. We have stayed twice this year and hope to come back again soon. The staff are the best of any hotel we have ever stayed in., especially Angel and Ayme who went above and beyond our expectations. The rooms are spotless, food lovely, wifi great and the sounds proofing is good.

We loved absolutely everything about this beautiful hotel. Fabulous location being so close to the beach and restaurants. The staff were great and very helpful and friendly. Very good breakfast, with something for everyone. Loved our room, which was very clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and had 2 pillows each, which made it more comfortable. Free water and 2 cans of beer in the fridge were very welcome. It was great to be able to tune in to Netflix which was unexpected. All staff were very hospitable and looked after us very well, thankyou. The pool on the roof although too small to swim was great for cooling-off. Can't wait to go back!!

Nachos! The cheese was squeezed out of a tube and would have preferred it to be melted cheese and salsa and sour cream as a dip.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und mit allem wichtigen ausgestattet. Genial war, dass wir keine Zimmerkarte benötigten, sondern der Zimmerzugang als auch der Haupteingang per Zahlencode geregelt waren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Man sah, dass das Hotel noch ganz neu ist (Hotelmitarbeiter sagte uns: 2 Jahre alt). Wir haben auch einen Abend dort gegesessen, war sehr gut.

Das Frühstück war okay, allerdings nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Z. Bsp. gab es die ganze Woche die gleiche Brötchensorte und Gebäckteilchen-Sorte. Genauso war es mit Eiern, Avocado-Snack etc.

The location of the hotel is perfect for going to the beach and town. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Need more shade at the swimming pool. Breakfast hot food was sometimes cold.

The swimming pool on the top floor has no shady area which would be nice to have in the afternoon (we visited Estepona at the end of July). The hotel is located in a very vice area full of restaurants. If you want to go to sleep before midnight, I would suggest to bring earplugs, despite the good insulated windows.

Clean room, comfortable beds. Good location right by the beach. Very light modern hotel.

The hotel is brand new but not well sound proofed. We moved room after four nights which helped. The hotel is located in a square full of bars, which is not a problem if it was adequately sound proofed. One evening the water in the hotel was not working until morning and so we received a refund for that night. The next evening there were still problems in the evening with the water stopping when we were getting ready to go out.

Loved it. Location. Walk to beach, shops, restaurants, markets. Staff were all great and so friendly. Quick response from staff leading up to our arrival.Breakfast was lovely and varied every day. Very clean throughout.

Noisy. Room not soundproof. Lucky we carry earplugs and used them every night. Noise went until 3am right outside. But that's the trade off for a great location.

First impressions of this hotel were great location, modern decor, beautiful architecture and super friendly staff! We had a great stay here.. check in was informative, quick and efficient. Angel is the hotel manager and is always visible around the hotel. He makes a conscious effort to acknowledge you personally which goes a long way in making you feel comfortable during the stay. During check in we were informed on the handy whatsapp ordering service, which we used via free wifi throughout our stay - whatsapping for anything from drinks by the pool to shower gel refills for the room. Everytime we used the whatsapp service, a member of staff would respond and act on the request really quickly. It was a good touch & super useful! I must add, i saw some reviews about the wifi being poor, and i took my work laptop on this trip- so i was a little apprehensive, but connection & speed was great. The rooms were a great layout - first thoughts were amazingly comfy bed with 2 different types of pillow - one bulkier, which my partner loved and the other slightly flatter which was great for me! The shower is really huge with a nice power and you are given free shower gel/shampoo & a body moisturiser.. generous sizes and we loved the moisturiser. Theres also hand soap by the sink. They don’t use keycards at this hotel, instead you’re given a pin code for the door during your stay & another pin code for the front door in case you’re arriving back after a long night out.. The wardrobe space was more than enough for us during our 6x night stay with 6 hangers. The room also has a free safe, 2x shower towels, 2x hand towels, 24/7 aircon which goes down to a lovely cold 16 degrees, great views & complimentary water and beer in the mini fridge (2x of each, daily). We also asked for water throughout the day in the hotel and it was always free of charge.
