When we arrived, the person cleaning was just finishing (1 person for this very large property). I asked her to stay while I did a really quick run through, which she kindly obliged. It looked ok so we unloaded and started to get settled. Unfortunately, as we began to settle in and use the property, we found several things that caused this property to be less than great. 1) Not enough towels per bathroom (1 hand towel/2 people??) nor towel racks to hang towels on. 2) The towel rack in the queen bedroom, bath upstairs is bent as someone must have used it as a handle. 3) A screen door (one on the left when facing the deck from the living room) was ripped out at the bottom. 4) The carpet, in a word, is horrible. After we opened the curtains and blinds and let light in, it was readily apparent that this carpet was well used. It is pretty disgusting to be frank and we spent more than an hour or so spot cleaning it ourselves just so it was more pleasant. 5) The mattresses were so used that they dipped in the middle and were incredibly uncomfortable, in the queen room upstairs and the master down stairs. I ended up sleeping on the couch one night and eventually moved to the other queen downstairs and my husband stayed alone in the queen upstairs and slept diagonally so he didn't roll into the middle. 6) When starting to cook breakfast on the first morning, I pulled out 3 pans that had severely caked on egg and one pan that was dirty with heavy grease. Disgusting. I assume what happened is some prior guests put unrinsed pans in the DW, ran it and left and housekeeping simply unloaded without paying any attention as to whether the pans were actually cleaned. It was pretty bad. I scrubbed them all clean, so we wouldn't get charged for leaving unclean dishes. 7) Light bulb above stove top, under microwave, not working. Not a huge thing, but just one more thing that could be easily corrected. 8) The house got SUPER HOT during the day, with the south facing windows. Not something that can be easily corrected I understand, but it was pretty uncomfortable on the main level during the day. 9) The shower and sink drains in the upstairs queen BR-bath, did not drain well and would fill during shower and/or washing at sink. 10) No A/C. The kitchen very well appointed. The pool table was great. Location was nice and the downstairs deck was nice since it was covered so much cooler.

We had a few snags communicating with the property management team, (they told me incorrect info for check in, they also said that bikes were available at the property when there are no bikes there and initially they wouldn't give us additional towels when we requested some... there was only one kitchen towel for our week stay), but once all of that was resolved, we had a blast. The property and location are beautiful. It accommodated the 8 of us perfectly.. the teens, parents and grandparents all loved the rental. The only other thing that's weird about the rental is they only provided 4 coffee mugs... we had 6 adults who all wanted coffee in the morning... so we ended up buying Big Bear mugs in town.. but honestly the management team should have provided them (but after the rocky start, I didn't want to bother them). Anyway, despite the few snags and lack of mugs, we were all very happy with the rental and would stay there again!

There were so many things wrong with this property. We contacted the property manager 5 times during our stay for things that were wrong. Kitchen: refrigerator was not cooling and had to throw food out that had spoiled approximately $200. Pots and pans were so worn it was hard to cook on. Floor was sticky when we arrived and no cleaning supplies for us to clean it. Only 1 dish towel was left for us so luckily I had brought clorox wipes, sponge and paper towels. Bedrooms: cheap hard mattress' in every room, thin, super thin sheets, fleece blankets and fans that were dirty, loud and blew dust everywhere. Downstairs master bedroom did not have a screen door so the room could not be used since it was to hot. Bathrooms: thin 1 ply toilet paper and only 1 set of towels per person. Living room: old furniture, shag dirty carpeting and tons of fake plants that had tons of dust on them. Outside: BBQ grill only 1/2 would like and hot tub dirty. Location: fantastic. I wrote an email to the property manage on Sunday prior to checking out and listed 9 items that were wrong with the property. After checking out I received an email from Jessica, reservations manager, that we left the house damaged from our dog that we had with us. She send pictures of spots on the carpet that they said was dog poop and scratches on the doors that they said was done by our dog. I called her immediately and told her that we did not do ANY damage to the house and left it cleaner than it was when we arrived. The dog was never left alone, is an ESA, and the calmest dog ever. She advised me she would send an email to Ryan, CEO, and he would call me on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I still did not hear from Ryan, so I sent Jessica an email and no response from her. I called her on Thursday and she said that Oliver, COO, was handling my complaint and transferred me to Oliver which he knew nothing about the situation. He asked me to give him a couple of hours to look into and he would call me back. Three days later I am still waiting for their call. The charged me $1100 for fixing wood that we did not damage and for carpet cleaning that we did not dirty. DO NOT STAY AT WOW RENTAL PROPERTIES. Their communication is horrible and they accused us damaging their property. This has been the worst ever VRBO experience we have every had and they do not have the courtesy to speak with me and keep giving me the runaround.

House was as represented and clean

We had an awesome time at this property just because of its great location and nice views of the lake and marina from the 2 balconies. Plus it was very roomy and very livable for 11 people, which included 5 kids. Having said that, we did notice many items needing repair when we got there. This ended up upsetting us a bit, especially considering we spent a premium price to rent this luxury rental on a holiday weekend. However, WowRentals really stepped up and showed us they were accountable and wanted to do the right thing. They assured us that all repairs we listed would be addressed by maintenance. In addition, they gave us some monetary compensation due to the fact that some items advertised as available at the property were not in full working condition when we stayed there. I’m very impressed with their quick response and true desire to make the property as good as it should be (and as advertised). I always want to applaud anyone who will stand behind their product and correct anything not right. WowRentals did just that. Because they stepped up and wanted to do the right thing, I give them high kudos and will definitely consider them for rentals in the future.

Overall we had a great time at his property and loved the location. The pictures show a fenced in yard, but that is actually the property next door. We had to leave our dogs on the porch when we were out. Also make sure you bring/purchase coffee mugs because there are only 4! But overall everything was really nice and we would return again.

Really enjoyed the house and experience with Wow Rentals.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the view of the marina. The hosts were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with! So grateful for the time we had at the property!

We were celebrating a birthday for five days. The house has that wow factor. Great house for a getaway. It was nice that the dogs could be with us and the two back decks perfect for them and us to sit out and enjoy the marina and sunshine. Great time had by all! Thank you.

We had a great time. The dogs loved being able to go down and play on the dock/beach.

Everything was great! I would suggest 1 more set of linens/wash towels per bed. 1 set was not enough for an extended stay with large 10+ people. Other than that we will be looking to book again. Thank You

Had a great trip to Big Bear! The house was a perfect with spectacular views of the lake. The slope in the back was perfect for sledding and the street was quiet with little traffic so perfect for long walks. Would definitely recommend this property!

The property was great for 6 adults and 5 kids. The great room and kitchen were great for our large group . The bedrooms were comfortable and the place was very clean. The views of the lake and mountains were perfect from the deck. I would come back for sure.

This property is wonderful. The location is great on a very quiet part of the lake, at least during the winter. Very peaceful and overlooking the Marina. The property is well maintained and they even came to shovel and remove snow in front of our cars. Inside is beautiful and very woodsy feeling with lots of wood accents. It could be appointed better with dish and glass wear but we made it work. Checkin and correspondence when needed with the rental company was very easy and responsive.

The backyard backs up right to the water with kayaks to take out. It’s also just a two minute walk to the pier where you can rent pontoons, boats, jet skis, etc. Neither of our neighbors were present so we had plenty of space. Brought two dogs and they had an absolute blast. We literally had no issues throughout our stay. The air conditioning and fireplace provided great climate control. We had an amazing time. Book this one with full confidence - it’s a rarity. Wow rentals was great.

The property was amazing however as soon as the next door neighbor’s arrived they called code enforcement at 4p.m. because we had music in the home. The property management informed us at check in that Big Bear’s noice policy went in effect at 10 p.m. I was stressed and uncomfortable after the call.

The property was very nice and well maintained with a perfect layout for our large family! It had everything you need, unless you’re a cook, bring your own basic spices! ;) overall great experience. It would be nice if the top windows facing the marina had shades as well as the sun is relentless. :)

Entire experience was fantastic. Property was great, check-in and.check-out both smooth and easy. Made for perfectly relaxing weekend in Big Bear.

Clean and close to the Halloways Marina

I appreciate attention to detail and this home was built by someone who put lots of money and thought into the details. I was impressed by the construction and enjoyed my stay. The house is big and beautiful. I want to return with my wife and some friends that will love the home.Plenty of towels and spacious rooms. Pretty showers. Very roomy. Thank You to the owners!!!

Our stay was wonderful! We had two families of 5 with 6 kids under 11 and two other adults. The house functioned amazingly. We were never cramped due to the spacious kitchen, great room and large deck. Our group especially loved the two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and 4 bathrooms total.

Big Bear is not that far from LA and after this vacation, we felt like we have been missing out on visiting it all these years. As soon as we walked in the door of this house, we were wowed! You walk into a great big living room/kitchen area with huge window views overlooking the lake. We used the jacuzzi on the big balcony every day. The kitchen is pretty well stocked and big enough for several cooks in the kitchen. lol. We cooked meals almost every night and used the BBQ on the deck twice. The BBQ wasn't the best working, but it did work ok. It was nice to have the extra large refrigeration in the garage, and having the garage was so convenient, as we brought mountain bikes. We had 12 family members, including 2 dogs and a toddler. The bedrooms are very large and comfortable. This is how we used them: 1. large master suite downstairs (my husband and I). 2. downstairs"two bunk bed room": a Dad and his three kids 3. smaller bedroom downstairs: a Mom and toddler. 4th bedroom upstairs: a couple in their twenties. We used the living room area for two air mattresses (85 yr old Great grandma and other mattress for brother-in-law). The kids loved the pool table and the location on the lake made it really fun for them. My toddler Grandson loved the big living room/ kitchen area upstairs to roam around. Being on the village side of the lake was very convenient. We went to the village a few times. We had a blast: offloading (we even took the Jeep to Pioneer Town and Giant Rock), hiking, shopping in the village, hanging out at the house, watching fireworks, going to the park at Snow Summit for mountain biking, zip lining, Euro bungeeing, and rock climbing, and boating (we rented a boat for the day on Saturday). There are docks right in front of the house that we parked on to pick up. Downside: we had to go home :( but we will be back!

This is an absolutely beautiful home in the perfect location with a gorgeous view. Our family of 14 (ages ranging from 3y/o-72y/o) really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Lakefront House. Main area of the house is open concept. Only few minutes away from the village, shops, the resort, and groceries. Rental agency was also super friendly, accommodating, and just available for service anytime if needed, which we didn’t. Would definitely come back to stay here in a heartbeat!

House and location were great. Very clean and close to the Village. Property management was very responsive on the one small issue we had. The only negative I would say is you have to haul out your own trash so if you don't do this daily make sure you have room in your car when leaving. Otherwise $25.00 a bag will be charged.

Our 3 families of 11 thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Lakefront Lodge for our winter retreat. We loved the spacious layout of the family room and the open large kitchen with the view to the beautiful lake. We all enjoyed entertaining ourselves in this same room with the pool table and the large dining room table where we played cards and board games while others cooked in the kitchen or watched TV on the comfy sectional couch. Mornings were dedicated to sipping coffee on the beautiful balcony facing the lake, taking peaceful walks with our dog right in the backyard to the lake, as well as doing yoga on the balcony. All the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable with TVs in each room (except for the kids room) if one needed to escape from the group for a little privacy. The design and layout of the house was well thought out and there is never a need for us to contact management for any reason during our stay. We also enjoyed sipping on wine in the Jacuzzi and watching the sunset and grilling on the balcony. On the last night of our stay it snowed and the following morning the kids enjoyed sledding down the backyard hill. Overall, a wonderful vacation home. We will definitely be back!
