This house is always the best! The view, sound of the ocean and of course a short walk to the beach. This year the house wasn’t as clean as years before, sadly it didn’t look like the house was vacuumed you could feel the sand on your feel while walking around the bedrooms and living room. We had wrong sizes to our beds and by the time we noticed they had closed down the laundry exchange. They had holes in the one upstairs bathroom door and food under the fridge and oven. Normally I would complain but like I said 4th year coming down and it wasn’t the same.

Lighthouse View's cottages with ocean views are simply fabulous. If you want to wake up and go to sleep with surf just outside your window, this is your place. This fragile ecosystem is astonishingly beautiful and respected; we came away relaxed and refreshed. Shimmering stunningly beautiful ocean and the Hatteras Lighthouse just a walk down the beach. Affordable and friendly. Very highly recommended.

I have enjoyed returning and staying at Lighthouse View. I have stayed at this same location and in the same unit for the past 10 years. And, I still look forward to returning again. However, I am disappointed that management was not as attentive as they were in previous stays. During this stay, I've requested help through both the hospitality app and talking with the clerk at front desk for maintenance assistance and received none. In addition, I have seen a cockroach in the kitchen for the first time in my repeated stays. This was reported and I received no feedback. I hope their lack of response was a fluke because I plan to return in 2021, and hope these issues are taken care of.

Stayed in the Oceanview villa. Had to delay our arrival due to hurricane Florence but was impressed with the constant communication from the hotel office. Arrived for 5 days of sunlight, waves, and perfection. The unit was perfect. Upstairs is the living area and kitchen and downstairs was 2 beds, 2 baths a bunk beds. Easily accessible to walkway to the beach. Kitchen was well equipped for simple cooking and grills are all over the property. Pool was nice and clean. Property was well kept and everyone we met was friendly. Our second visit and certainly not our last!

All was a good. We did notice that there was quite a bit of sand in parking area under the house, as well as the sidewalks weren't cleaned in some time. Litter we picked up & Fishing hooks at the bottom of our stairs. The interior was fine, The exterior hadn't been touched in some time. We've been staying here for 35 years. This was never the norm before.

Lighthouse View is a great vacation spot If you like to relax in the sun and enjoy what nature has to off this is for you. We have been coming here for 22 years. When we started staying here we stayed in the main building which has studio apartment style rooms. As our family has grown we have advanced to the 2 bedroom duplex. We travel the same week and have made life long friends. Very clean and staff is very helpful. It’s a quiet family spot

We have been coming down from Boston every year for the last 10 years o fish and love the Lighthouse View. This year was the beach restoration project out in back of the Inn and was a tad noisy as they worked all night. Not managements fault. We weren't able to fish where we usually do behind the hotel, because of the work, but still a great place. Already booked for next year.

We like to rent in the area during the off season. Both of us like the ocean but neither of us care to get in it. We also appreciate 'less than crowded' conditions afforded by the off season. The house we rented was comfortable, clean, and everything worked. We had absolutely no issues with anything with the house. Check in was a breeze; and the staff at check in were friendly, informative, and accommodating. We loved the view and sound of the ocean which we could view from the rear of the house from the second and third levels (ground level is parking). We would definitely stay here again.

We love this Villa and have been coming to Lighthouse View over 20 years. We were a little put off by what seems to be a new reservation system. It's now based on 52 weeks from the previous year, which will move us a lot earlier into August than we want. Not happy about this at all, and am hoping we'll be able to switch with the people who come after us. In the meantime, hoping everyone was safe during the hurricane. That's all that matters!
