Guiseppe & his daughter were very welcoming and the apartment was well equipped. It was well located for the Lido ferries & the cable car. The walk up to the apartment could be quite challenging for anyone with a low level of fitness. It is quite steep in places. we had a lovely stay.

Good contact with landloard in the beginning (in fact you chat with his grand daughter). Reliable key handover. Apartment spacious, but rather old-fashioned. Towels available and clean, same for bed sheets. I would expect cleaner floors (don't look below furniture...) and to not have to clean dishes etc myself because of their condition... Road in front of the house is small but noisy, so we kept windows closed on daytime, only opened at night to get fresh air inside. Up till her we rated 3-4 stars... But then I received incredible rating by landloard, mainly claiming that they did no see us open the windows (well, with small child we get up early and do it then, to rather get cool air inside - ifyou don't get up the same time, how can you judge?). Second claim was that we did not clean the floors when we left. Seriously, I pay a cleaning fee. Why should I do the cleaning then myself? What disappointed me the most was that this poor rating came unexpected, no asking for reasons of our alleged behavior. Well, so I need to go to the friendly overall rating of 3 stars.

The apartment is neat, clean and very well stocked. Location is quiet and tucked away in a nice neighborhood about a lovely ten-minute walk away Stresa. An excellent little grocery is a block away and there's a wonderful restaurant right down the street. All in all a very good experience. Giuseppe and his daughter were helpful and attentive. We were picked up at the train station and taken to the apartment.

We received a warm welcome with Giuseppe meeting us at the station and driving us on a tour of Stresa. At the end of our stay he also kindly drove us down to the bus stop for the Alibus to Malpensa airport. So we had no need to carry our luggage and we did not hire a car, though, if we had, parking was free nearby. There was an excellent shop 3 minutes' walk away, open every day, serving bread, charcuterie and cheeses, as well as other basic groceries. Five minutes away there was also a friendly restaurant and bar at the Centro Sportivo, La Cascina, where we ate very well. To reach the Lido with access to the boats took us 20 minutes walking( downhill ), whilst a useful bus stop for other lakeside towns, and for Lake Orta was about 15 minutes. So we had easy access to transport and amenities whilst being away from the bustle of Stresa. The entrance hall to the building is elegant, large and secure. The apartment was very spacious, clean and beautifully furnished with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We used the balcony off the kitchen for our breakfasts and many evening meals. It had a very pleasant outlook over the garden, which was also available to us.. Fiamma joined her father to show us all the tourist information provided and offer advice. Our delightful hosts were available throughout the holiday should we need anything.

Fantastic hosts.... would definately come again. Aparment had everything you needed spacious and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment, it was clean, very well equipped (they also provided us with a cot and highchair) and a good size for our family (two small children). Location is good (decent small shop nearby and a short walk down the hill into town). I'd be very happy to stay there again.

We had just four nights in this property in Stresa and we left feeling that we wished had booked a little longer. Guiseppi is a really lovely gentleman and so helpful. He picked us up from the railway station and gave us a little tour of Stresa pointing out where most things were, e.g. the main shopping centre, the embarkation point for the ferry and the cable-car point. We were grateful for the lift as the apartment is uphill from the town, not too far away, but too steep when carrying suitcases. Guiseppi also transported us back to the station at the end of our stay, for which we were most grateful and he also gave us a little memento of our visit to Stresa too. While we were in Stresa we visited the three off-shore islands, which are an absolute must-see visit. On another day we ascended the mountain behind Stresa in the cable-car and the chair-lift to the very top where there are wonderful views over Lake Maggiore and then in the opposite direction another fantastic view of the beautiful snowy peaks of the Alps. Coming down to the mid-point of the change station of the cable-car we visited the Alpine Gardens which was another marvellous experience with even more fantastic views of Lake Maggiore. The apartment itself is well equipped, with cooking utensils, washing machine and plenty of space and storage for clothes if you are staying for a longer period that we did. It was lovely to have the balcony overlooking the splendid garden and this was our favourite place for eating our evening meal. A local shop just two minutes walk away sells everything you need if you are self-catering, fruit, vegetables, bread, cakes etc. This shop sells delicious home-cooked food. A local lady cooks pasta dishes and gorgeous puddings which are sold in the shop - so no need to go out to eat in a restaurant because this is quality food. The apartment was very clean and comfortable in every way. We would certainly go back to this apartment if we decide to visit Stresa again.

We enjoyed our week in the lovely, quiet and spacious apartment in Stresa. Sitting on the little balcony, overlooking the lovely garden was a treat. Mr. Paracchini was most gracious and helpful. Location is good, a little walk uphill from the lake. Would stay again.

Giuseppe and his daughter were very helpful. Giuseppe met us from the Alibus stop and dropped us off there at the end of the stay. Beautiful views of the lake; lovely quiet garden filled with birdsong, 10 minutes walk down to the lakeside with its beautiful scenery.

Well located with easy access to boat docks and city center. Beautiful garden to the rear of the house and charming balcony for eating outside in good weather.

This is the perfect apartment for a family stay. We stayed with our 1 year old, the high chair and cot were provided which the family had made up with bedding and soft toys; ideal! Giuseppe and Fiametta were incredibly welcoming and friendly as were all the local people in Carciano. It’s a short walk down Via Paradiso into Stresa, and the view lives up to its name. There’s more than enough to see and do locally, although on peak days the local tourist hot spots are incredibly busy. The balcony is an afternoon and evening sun trap and looks out onto a private garden which you have access to, and includes childrens’ toys. We had a relaxing and very enjoyable stay!

Old-fashioned comfort, with all modern conveniences. A short walk into the town, a very good small supermarket 2 minutes walk, terrace overlooking garden. Lovely.

Our family stayed in Giuseppe’s apartment for 4 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very nice, clean and comfortable, it has a balcony overlooking a lovely garden. Everything necessary was provided, including a lot of tourist information. The apartment is situated close to the Mottarone cable car and ferry boats, which go to the famous Borromean islands and nearby towns. There is a small supermarket and some restaurants close to the apartment. A larger supermarket is within a 25-minute walk. Giuseppe is a very friendly and welcoming host, he picked us up from the railway station and showed us around the neighborhood. We would highly recommend this place and would like to thank Giuseppe for his hospitality.

We stayed at this apartment as a family of four with two young children and had a very nice time. The flat is clean, well-equipped, spacious and with a beautiful garden out in the back which guests are allowed to use. It's a ten-minute walk to the lido to catch boats to the island and the funicular up to Mottarone, and about 20 minutes to the centre of Stresa. Convenient parking close by, friendly hosts. Highly recommended!

Stresa is a pretty town and Lake Maggiore is magnificent. Giuseppe's apartment is well located close to Stresa and the lake and rheir many attractions but far enough away to ensure that parking and traffic aren't problems. Stresa and its cafes and restaurants and the railway station are within walking distance and there is a decent corner shop very close to the apartment. The apartment is quiet and comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped, with a spacious living room and bedroom. On one side it has a partial view over the lake, and on the other side it looks over Giuseppe's pretty garden. Giuseppe and his daughter were very hospitable and helpful hosts. They gave us lots of sightseeing suggestions that made our holiday even more enjoyable. We are happy to recommend this apartment as a place to stay, and would happily stay there ourselves should we visit the area again.

We had a very enjoyable 5 days stay at Casa Belvedere. Giuseppe kindly met us at the bus stop and gave us a helpful tour of Carciano. The apartment was clean and comfortable and was well situated for Stresa, the islands and cable car to Mottarone. The local supermarket and restaurants were only a short walk away. We had a very nice stay in Stresa and especially in the house of Guiseppe an his family. Our children (2 and 4 years old) loved the wonderful garden with a lot of toys and a little playground. A little store selling everything in reachable within 2 minutes walking distance, to the Lago Maggiore you walk 10-15 minutes. Guiseppe took us to the mountain Mottarone and to the Orca lake.
