Reserved for 3 adults. There was only 1 towel. Period. Contacted owner on arrival, he said housekeeper leaves towels in cupboard. There was only one, for 3 people for 2 days. No additional bath or hand towels or wash clothes. Bamboo sticks leaning on bath wall, to trip over was the towel holder. The shower does not drain and it floods the bathroom. No floor mat. Water damage on bath wall. Kitchen faucet broken. No air con or ceiling fan. Was a small fan on floor. But 2 sleeping rooms. Was 100 F both days. Most uncomfortable sleep since sleeping in attic as a teen. Fridge freezer section is ice covered, never defrosted. Took a day to get WiFi working. Owner's instructions were incomplete. Had to read manual written in French found in closet. There are 26 letters and numbers on password with spaces every group of 4. You have to determine if spaces must be included or not. Also additional steps on router necessary. We did finally make it work, but no help from owner. Both closets have had shelves put in (with poor workmanship), so it is not possible to hang clothes. All buildings in the area have tall steel fences and locked gates. Safety is in question. No dining or shopping within walking distance. Sofa bed is used Ikea. A third of the mattress slats in the frame are missing, so it is hard to sit or sleep on couch. Professional pictures of the clean apartment do not convey the actual experience.

We were two days late getting to the property due to flight cancellations and upon arrival discovered that another person had possibly just vacated the property through the window out the back. The unit was dirty (used towels, dishes and bed linens) as well as a back window completely open. I contacted the owner and tried to get at least a portion of our monies returned since we would have to now obtain different lodging. We provided photographs of the unit and gave him every opportunity to address the issues, he was unwilling to cooperate and refused to refund even a portion of our money. This was very disappointing since I have used VRBO frequently and never had a issue with anyone else. I would not recommend anyone stay here and I don't think this owner should be allowed to continue renting.
