Four of us from childhood get together every summer for a two night stay at a drivable location. This year we picked Michigan City and stayed at the Treehouse! We had a fun time. We needed two bedrooms and the living area was spacious. We had a fun time in Michigan City.

The property was cute and felt private. The bathroom was not very functional and the shower situation was very old and not good water pressure at all. The beds all squeaked quiet a bit at night and so did the doors. Someone was arrested outside across the street from from the place the first night which was concerning, but it was right next to downtown and the beach so it was easy to get to places and a relatively quiet street. We enjoyed the shopping and eating options. Overall feel of the place was cute and cozy, we loved the deck and all read outside and enjoyed the space. Not as clean as I could have hoped. We cooked in the kitchen and it had lots of utensils for us to use.

House was clean and welcoming. Kids loved the balconies and bunks. Renee was super helpful and responsive.

The treehouse was cute and bigger than expected. The location was convenient. We had take out from the Mexican restaurant across the street several times. Great homemade offerings. Short drive to the beach. We had a great stay. Other reviews mention they would like the window on the door covered and I agree. The commercial space below is currently unoccupied.

Had a great stay. We were there as we got married 5/20/2023 and needed a place to stay for the night. Overall the stay was great! Only complaint would be how uncomfortable the beds were, but that can easily be changed. The place was beautiful and easy to access. My only recommendations would be adding comfier beds, as you pay a hefty price to stay here and comfort is key, especially if staying multiple nights. And adding some privacy to the main entry door as it was a little uncomfortable knowing someone could come up the stairs and look directly into the place. I loved the place other than that and would definitely stay here again!

Not sure if I’ll ever be back in Michigan City, IN, but if I am, I’ll absolutely be staying here again! Super cute unit, very comfortable and homey. A couple of local breweries and a cabinet full of board games kept us busy for our evening stay after a long day of driving!

Our overall stay was great! We rented this home for our friends 30th birthday party. It was close to a few wineries and very close to the casino! The home had age but that wasn't off putting! It was a tad confusing on what door was THE ONE to get into the apartment. But we figured it out and didn't have to contact the owner. I would definitely recommend this to others!

This was a quaint roomy place with good access to downtown. We enjoyed our stay. One issue that would not be the issue of the property owner was the map link on the VRBO's website does not take you to the listing.

It was perfect. The place is beautiful. Had lots of privacy. House was spotless. The owner responds quickly. We are hoping to come every year. 🥰

It was a nice place had some weird ways of connecting stuff in the bathroom but hey it worked. Loved the decor. The ground is a bit uneven in the kitchen i noticed. Living area is nice. I feel like the couch is a bit small even though it looks nice. Unfortunately i took down the sheets when we where leaving as asked and the white mattress protector had blood on it i know what dried blood looks like I’m a nurse. That was disgusting. Reasons why i bring my own blanket and pillows and never sleep on others sheets. I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME SHAME ON ME FOR NOT LOOKING!

Renee was a great host! Rental was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The check in process was simple and the communication from Renee was excellent. The location of the property is close to restaurants and the beach. The property was clean and had everything we could have asked for during our stay.

Had a great time. Property was clean and nicely decorated. One concern would be the street noise and the nearby train noise. If you’re a light sleeper you might want to bring earplugs. Great communication with property owner.

The how was absolutely adorable! Perfect for our trip! I would absolutely stay again!

The property was clean, and stocked with supplies, and appliances, like the big screen TV. the problems start when we saw the location, we thought we would be a 5 min. walk to the beach, instead of a 10 min. drive, we did not know it was going to be in the attic, we are in our 70's , I had hip replacement not too long ago, and my wife has problems with her legs, and ended up with leg cramps the 2nd day, We had our grand daughter with us and she had to help with the luggage. when we tried to enter the dead bolt was jammed and it took a while to get in, I tried to call the host, but could not get her to answer or return my call, there were a couple of roaches in the bathroom and the toilet would not flush properly, I went to make coffee while my wife was using the Microwave and it blew a breaker and we had to look for the box to reset it, the TV was hard to operate, shut on and off by it self for 3 of 4 min. at a time, and we could not get a local station when the storm hit, My wife went to iron some cloths and there was no ironing board, the thermostat did not seem to work or we did not know how to use it, the apartment was either too hot at night or too cold during the day and had to keep wrapped in blankets . When we went to bed or room was right next to the highway with heavy traffic, with trucks and sirens, there was also train track next door and the trains would shake the house. I went to take a shower and could hardly get in and out of the claw leg cast Iron bath tub, I tried to grab the shower Curtin rod and it would not support me. This was our 50th Adversary and we want something special close to the lake so the kids could walk to the lake. We would have canceled but we did not want to get stuck with a bill and not have a place to stay as that seems to be your policy by keeping it a secret until its too late.

No complaints. Decent enough location to Washington Park and easy access to New Buffalo.

Renee was wonderful to work with, answered questions promptly, went out of her way to provided beach supplies for my kids. The house is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Five stars for us!

This was hands down the cutest place I have stayed at! The house was the perfect size for my friends and I. The host was great answering any questions I had last minute! Love that! I would recommend staying here for a nice little getaway downtown in Michigan City! :)

We enjoyed the outdoor space, the bonfire and the upstairs space. The living space was very cozy and beautifully decorated.

The shower was a little difficult. No place to put your soap or shampoo.

We had a great time at Renee’s place. The property was easy to find, and within a few minutes driving distance of restaurants, shopping, and the beach. We weren’t at the property a lot and did not do any cooking, but there were plenty of dishes, towels, and coffee/tea. It’s a bit loud being right up against a busy road and next to railroad tracks but it didn’t bother us. Very cute place!!

This property offers the three Cs -comfort, cleanliness and convenience! The tasteful decor, along with all the necessities for a family getaway made our weekend memorable. Our host, Renee’ was accessible our entire stay and the property was spotless. The convenience of being centrally located to restaurants, shopping and the lake are definitely a plus.
