Beautiful historic home near everything in STL. We were attending a wedding at Wild Carrot and it was a short block away. It is located in a quiet safe neighborhood and we were able to walk there in full suit and dress! The rooms were comfy and spacious for an older home. There was plenty of space indoor and outdoor and the owners had the place stocked quite well!

In town for the weekend with my husband and 2 fur babies. The home was as described and just wonderful. Fenced back yard for the pups and they loved it. Wonderfully decorated and so comfortable! Would absolutely stay again and recommend this lodging.

Lovely home in a historical area. Had everything we needed for the family, including a fenced in yard for the dog! Easy access to the freeway and so many entertainment options nearby. Convenient location for our visit to SLU!

Very comfortable house! My huband and I and our two adult children and son-in-law attended a wedding in St. Louis and stayed for two nights. It was laid out well for our group with areas where we could gather together and catch up (we live in different cities) and also get away from each other to get some work done. Great location! Would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Very cozy and felt like home. Beautiful home. Neighborhood was exceptional. We have even booked again for the future. Best of all, not a 10 step check list on check out. Owners seem very laid back and trusting.

Jim's place is just fabulous here in the greater St. Louis area. Beautiful, safe, recently renovated historic neighborhood. Gorgeous back yard set up for evening entertaining and completely fenced for kiddos and doggos. Short driving distance to Busch Stadium, parks and coffee shops within walking distance. Home is impeccably clean and Jim(host) was always available to answer any questions we might have had. We definitely recommend Jim's fabulous Shaw neighborhood home!!! God bless y'all!!!

Great space and lovely, walkable neighborhood with a fantastic breakfast spot, (Fiddlehead Fern). The beds were very comfortable. Instructions were clear on access and home exceeded expectations. Great communication with Jim as well! Would definitely stay here again!

The location was wonderful. The house is spacious and the patio area was where we spent the majority of our time. We hope to stay here again.

The home is lovely and the backyard area is even better it is where we spent the most time! The house has everything you need and located in a great area to get to thing’s conveniently! The owner Jim was fast to respond with a answer to a question! Would absolutely recommend for a family and love that they have a fenced in yard great for dogs!!

Overall the location was perfect for a wedding we were attending at a location two blocks away. When we first arrived, we quickly noticed a strong smell. After the first day, our son realized it was the dog food that was left in a dog bowl in the kitchen. It just had a very strong smell. We ended up setting it outside and opening the windows for a little bit and after that we enjoyed the space much better. It wasn't anything that we contact the owners about.

This house is on a very quiet street.. Near quaint restaurants & our favorites on the "Hill". Our daughter's wedding venue was the Chouteau City Cottage. Had to be the nicest house for her to get ready for her big day.

The house was fantastic and fit four adults and two dogs perfectly. The owner, Jim, was extremely nice with great communication. He makes it clear that the house is also their part-time residence and, though you can tell someone lives there, it's not a nuisance or issue at all. The house was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. The neighborhood is very nice with lots of good walking, plus its very close to both Forest Park and downtown. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this place! You won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed a family Easter weekend in Shaw neighborhood. Close to restaurants, Tower Grove and Other sites! The place was spacious, warm and inviting, and a great place to enjoy with family! Host was great and very responsive! We will be back!

Family of 6 needing an escape from Chicagoland area. Great location and house organization to allow kids to sleep without being on top of each other. Only downfall is lack of laundry but posting did not say laundry was available so no fault of host.

We loved the property from the start just from the listing. It was 5 minutes from our wedding venue and less than 20 minutes from everything else we needed to get to. The house was clean, easily accessible, and parking was no issues even with several cars. Plenty of space to have a little get together/rehearsal dinner and still be comfortable. Thank you again for helping make my wedding weekend a great success.

We loved staying at Homeaway for our trip to St Louis. The home is beautiful, had the perfect amount of space for my wife, our two young children, and my mother in law, to spread out. The backyard is completely fenced in, so we were able to bring our small dog with as well. In addition to the house itself, the location is perfect if you’re trying to explore all the city has to offer. We were no more than ten minutes away from every major attraction we wanted to visit. We would definitely look to stay at Homeaway again if /when we return to St Louis!

We had such a wonderful stay! We met with my parents and siblings for a weekend get together. The house and neighborhood was easy access to so many places around town. The neighborhood was quiet and comfortable. The home is absolutely gorgeous. A perfect amount of space for all of us to be together and enjoy our time together. The house was very clean. Communication was easy. The beds were very comfortable. Our only concern for the weekend was that there aren't grips in one of the bathtubs and my dad almost slipped out of the tub. Overall, we had a great stay and I can see us making this a repeat place to visit.

We appreciated the flexibility of an early check in, as well as quick response times. The house was clean and comfortable. Great space for our relaxing girls get away trip.

We have stayed at numerous properties in STL and have been a little disappointed with each of them- mostly concerned with the neighborhoods. Nice houses, neighborhoods not so much. Jim's house finally changed that - the Shaw neighborhood is wonderful and very safe. This house has a gated driveway so we could park our vehicle close to the house and keep it inside the gate. There is also room in the driveway for more cars, along with plenty of street parking. This house also has a fenced in backyard which was great for our pup. The house was very clean and exactly as the pictures depicted. First floor is the kitchen (beautiful new appliances ), half bath, front sitting room and family room - complete with couch, loveseat , TV and table with four chairs. Second story has three bedrooms- 2 queens with shared full bathroom and 1 king with en-suite bathroom- very spacious bathroom. Third story is one open room- full size couch, very large TV- serves as a second family room. The house is very convenient to groceries, restaurants and many STL attractions. The communication with Jim was great- he answered all of my questions in a very timely manner. We loved this house and will be sure to stay here again on a return trip to STL!

This house was a great place to stay. It’s true to the St. Louis area and the owner has kept it immaculate. The driveway and off street parking were definitely appreciated. Modern decor and amenities complimented the craftsmanship of this property.

This was our first VRBO experience and it was 5 stars. The home was very clean, very comfortable and in a perfect location for our family to be together for a wedding that was nearby. We weren't more than 12 minutes from anything worth seeing or doing. Loved it.

We had a wedding to over Labor Day weekend. Our children are now 24 and 21 and the thought of the four of us all getting ready in a hotel room just was not going to cut it. This was our first time with a Vrbo. We will never go back to a hotel. Hoping all places are as nice as this place.! The house was so roomy and comfy and in a quite neighborhood. Everything we needed for morning breakfasts. It was so nice after being out for the day to come back and watch tv on a couch (not hotel bed) and be able to play games on the table (not the hotel lobby) Unfortunately Mother Nature was not on our side so we did not get to enjoy the fire pit or patio. Our stay was wonderful! If I had to give 1 suggestion (I realize this is their part time home) maybe a dresser that guests could use and a little more closet space. Just so we could unpack some clothes. We were there for 4 nights.

This is a beautiful family home, and my parents, my wife and our kids loved the space. It’s a huge place with a beautiful backyard.
