We enjoyed a full week at the Tiziana’s Emerald apartment. The apartment is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The pictures shown are all accurately portrayed. The bed is quite large by European standard with nice linens and pillows for a cozy night’s sleep. We visited in August, and both air conditioners worked well. Tiziana is a great host and takes much pride in the apartments she offers to guests, which always makes for a more authentic experience when visiting a new place.

Brilliantly located in historic centre. Easy access to market, shops and amenities. Clean, spacious and high level of decor. Excellent service and communication with owner. A no-problem, totally enjoyable rental that makes our holidays a pleasure. There are several stunning beaches within easy reach - we've returned to this apartment several years running. I recommend it without reservation.

I would recommend this appartment for people looking for city break as well as longer holidays. The appartment is situated in the old town of Alghero, is quiet, well-maintained, great facilities. We stayed for a week and had a great time, it is easy to rent a car and see the wonderful beaches in the north of Sardinia! The landlords are very nice people and ready to help whenever! We will come back!

We were first timers in Sardinia and this appartment in old town Alghero was ideal.We were there for Easter week and really enjoyed the processions and sightseeing.Everything in the town is within walking distance,including restaurants,supermarket,town wall strolls and beaches.We did hire a car for 3 days (book well in advance for best prices) to look further afield and we enjoyed the mountains-good for "twitching" and the coast-lots of empty sand!.
The appartment was very well-kept,had everything we required and just right for us.I would have reservations tho' about the very young or elderly as there are 2 flights of stairs to climb.It would also have been helpful to have a bit more tourist info' available.
For example there is also a bus that goes from the airport to porta terra - 5mins from the door.
Overall we had a great break in Sardinia and this was an excellent base for us.Thank You Tiziana and Mrs. Palmina

We spent 11 nights in this lovely authentic Italian apartment. It was in an ideal position in the historical centre of Alghero within walking distance of shops, restaurants ad beaches. The apartment was very clean and had everything you need for a lovely holiday. We also hired a fab Fiat 500 car for 3 days and explored further beaches and wonderful coastline. My boyfriend and I just spent a brilliant week in Alghero and would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be in the heart of the old town but also close (about a 15 minute walk) to the beach. The apartment has a lovely authentic Italian atmosphere and is very clean and well presented. It’s extremely comfortable and homely with everything you might need plus it was somewhere we were able to spend hours relaxing after being out and about in the baking sunshine. There are lots of great places to eat and drink plus markets and shops just a few minutes away. We were going to hire a car but in the end we felt we didn't need to as the whole place was so nice, though we might next time to see more of the island.... and we needed all the stairs back up to the apartment to help burn off all the ice-creams we had been eating! Tiziana was also really helpful regarding the apartment and Sardinia and we would definitely return.

We stayed in Tiziana'a apartment for our honeymoon and found it to be a perfect base for exploring Alghero, and the old town in particular. The apartment was spotless and contained everything you could possibly need when self catering.
With some very warm days, the air conditioning came in very useful. We would certainly have no doubts at all about recommending this apartment to others and hope to return in the future.

This little apartment in Alghero is beautiful, comfortable, and so well equipped that we felt completely at home there. It had everything we needed from rain umbrellas, hair dryer, to mats and a beach umbrella. The decor is charming and warm, and this open-plan apartment feels more spacious than it actually is. The the bedroom is upstairs, where there are two skylights in the timbered ceiling that slopes down. In the kitchen and dining area are two large windows that open up to a narrow cobble-stoned street. Below is the restaurant Da Pietro, that tempted us each afternoon with the smells of cooking garlic and olive oil. The location was perfect; it's in the middle of the old town, close to the old wall, where there are hundreds of restaurants and shops on every street. It's a really amazing place and I can't wait to get back. I recommend renting a car to see the landscape and beaches outside of Alghero, but it isn't necessary.

We booked a long weekend in Alghero and the apartment was in an excellent location to explore the old town. Just off one of the main streets so great for shops and restaurants yet also quiet enough for a good night's sleep.
Everything about the apartment was great: good shower, well equipped kitchen and smooth handover with Palmina despite our lack of Italian! We really appreciated the use of beach mats etc as we went to Stintino and Poglina beaches. The coast road to Bosa from Alghero was a really lovely drive. Will definitely recommend to others - so much nicer than staying in a touristy hotel. Thank you, Tiziana.

This apartment was perfect for a relaxing holiday in the sun. It combined all mod cons (DVD, dishwasher, air con etc) with authentic local feel (bare stone walls, wooden beams, cobbled street outside). It's ideally located minutes from the best of the waterfront bars & restaurants, as well as the main bus stop, the tourist information centre and the wonderful fresh market (and supermarket) for supplies. The owner has thought of everything, and even leaves bath towels a beach umbrella with beach mats so you can bring minimal luggage. We recommend you explore the beaches north of Alghero and make the effort to get out to Stintini La Pelosa - the water looks like the Caribbean!!
We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful little apartment in the heart of Alghero Old Town
We had a wonderful time in this well equipped apartment. There are loads of great places to eat all within a few minutes walk, so it’s always nice to know you won’t have far to stagger back after filling your stomachs!
Tiziana was very helpful during the whole process and we look forward to returning to Sardinia very soon.

Incredible decor in the most charming location
I stayed at Tiziana's apartment for a four days as I travelled across Sardinia. This was a great option for me, as a solo female traveller, although a couple could easily enjoy a stay here.
The apartment is absolutely stunning and has a great size, and it is perfectly situated in the old town of Alghero, which I thought was incredibly charming.
Francesca met me on site and was always available for any advice / recommendations, so friendly and helpful, as was Tiziana prior to my travels. It was unfortunate that I did not get to meet her in person!
The only areas of improvement that I saw was that there was lack of wifi so I needed to rent a hotspot device for my time there, which was costly but worked perfectly, so it would have been ideal if they had a similar device on site (but there are nearby locations that you can easily use wifi from if you need it) and there is no available parking nearby. There is no parking in the pedestrian area at all where the apartment is located, which is actually lovely, but I mean that it would be ideal for there to be a secured parking spot for renters of the apartment so that tenants do not need to look for a new spot every time. A car is essential to see the nearby areas of alghero, and although there is plenty of parking available, there are also plenty of cars, so often I would have to park about a 10 minute walk from the apartment, and it's an added task to seek parking and find your car each time. This is probably only applicable to me as a solo traveller who forgets things a lot and needs to go back and forth!

A lovely too floor apartment in the heart of Alghero, very clean & cosy. The location is perfect and Alghero's pretty cobbled streets and many restaurants and shops are quite literally outside the front door.
Grocery stores, the beach and port area are all within easy walking distance. However take time to explore beyond Alghero as the scenery is stunning and quieter beaches can be found.
If staying in August, expect the town to be busy but this adds to the atmosphere, particularly at night and if parking a car, be patient - lots of parking spaces but lots of people wanting to park.
Tiziana is a brilliant host. She sent lots of interesting & relevant information prior to our visit and was easy to contact when we needed help. In fact she went out of her way to help solve a problem we had (which had nothing to do with the apartment) - grazie mille!

We have had a wonderfull 12 day stay in the perfectly located cosy flat!
You're in the centre of the town, but in a quiet street, fresh food marked around the corner, it makes you feel like a local!
Francesca has been very helpfull, always on time, kind and with an answer to everything.
We have been surprised of how much there is to see and do in and around Alghero, we rented bikes and Spaiggia Bombarde was our favorite beach.

A good place to stay
We throughly enjoyed our 4 nights stay in what turned out to be the Sweet Home Amethyst apartment rather than the Sweet Home Alghero apartment we had booked 4 months earlier. Despite email communication with Tiziana a couple of days before we arrived, when she told us we would now be met by Valeria rather than Francesca, we were not told about the change of apartment until we arrived. Valeria told us the previous tenants had left behind some sort of water problem so Tiziana was offering us another apartment.
The Amethyst apartment was across the street from our original apartment. It appeared to have much the same excellent layout and high level of comfort plus it had the added advantage of a second bathroom upstairs.
The apartments are in a great location. The one we stayed in was very comfortable, had a reasonable level of light given the charming but narrow street, everything worked very well and joy oh joy the air conditioners were quiet. And Valeria was charming, reliable and very helpful.
As is clear from the photos, the colour scheme of the Amethyst apartment is predominantly lilac and lavender, which wasn't to our taste so wouldn't have been the apartment we'd have chosen ourselves. A couple of other quibbles - the sheets were worn and very rough - unusual in an apartment at this price level. And it was a bit of a problem for us that the apartments don't have wifi. Unlike in other parts of Sardinia, a lot of the restaurants and bars in Alghero did not have free wifi that our iPhones/iPads could connect to, but after trying for a while we did find a few.

A perfect place for two
Tiziana & Francesca provide a great service & a lovely place to explore Alghero & the rest of Sardinia from. The apartment is in a fantastic location and if you have a car during your stay you'll find free parking just around the corner. The old town of Alghero is beautiful & we stayed in the heart of it all.
The apartment is small but was great for the two of us & we had all that we needed to make our stay very comfortable there.
I would definitely recommend Alghero & Tiziana's place for a relaxed Sardinian holiday and if you can go out of season, you'll enjoy the quieter streets & the better prices!

We booked this apartment for 9 weeks while workingin the area. I have to say abig thankyou to Tiziana for making this a very special stay for us. From the moment we booked the property Tiziana was most helpful supplying us with information about Alghero and its surrounds. The apartment itself is beautifully situated in the centre of "the old town" , close to the bus stop which services the airport . There are plenty of choices for restaurants close by as well.
The apartment has all that you need;a nice kitchen complete with dishwasher(important!) too.
Tizianas manager, Francesca was also very helpful and professional as well.We'll definitely be staying here when we return to Alghero again!

We traveled for several weeks in Sardinia and we have to say that this apartment was not only the best furnished (everything you need for a comfortable stay), it is also furnished in a very personal and beautiful way so that you immediately feel at home. Moreover, everything is in very good conditions! As other reviewers commented, everything you expect from a town centre is just minutes away. Highly recommended for people who look for a romantic getaway in a cosy little town. nice apartment in the old city of alguero
Me and my husband stayed in the apartment located on via Cavour in the Old City of Alguero between 22 to 27 of Sept 2013. The apartment is well furnish and it has all the necessary accessories to make your stay comfortable. You have plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets around, and also the apartment is close to the beach. Tiziana and Francesca are very helpful and nice,,,they give you all the information that you need to have fun and enjoy your holidays. Near to the apartment is the main square where you can take the bus who takes you to other big beaches or you can rent a bike too. We definitively will come back and of course we would like to stay again in any of Tiziana's apartment....I highly recommend her

Arriving up the cobbled Via Machin, counting down the house numbers the anticipation increased with every step. And then there we were – stunning! Rang the bell and a cherry Hello from Francesca greeted us and were let in. The apartment is in perfect location, there is a restaurant next door (da Pietro), and everything in the centro storico is within easy walking distance. The apartment is fabulous with everything you could want for a wonderful stay in a beautiful area, and it was spotless with the use of space well designed. A great air conditioned sitting area, with a small but well equipped kitchen area attached. Then up the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom which has additional air conditioning. As we were staying for 2 weeks and had travelled with no hold luggage, we used the washing machine and enjoyed hanging the clothes out of the window to dry ensuring it didn't drip onto da Pietro clients!As we flew into Olbia we had a hire car, which is the only downside because you can't park in the historic centre. However there is a large FREE car park 5 minutes walk away. If you have a car we would recommend Bosa to the south as a nice beach to visit, with a wonderful drive along the coastal highway. Going the other way we really enjoyed Stintino. Bombarde was very nice but in August absolutely packed by 11:00 am.Francesca was so helpful and made many recommendations for beaches and restaurants where we could sample some traditional Sardinian cuisine, as well as fabulous sea food. So central Alghero almost revolves about it
Arriving up the cobbled Via Machin, counting down the house numbers the anticipation increased with every step. And then there we were – stunning! Rang the bell and a cherry Hello from Francesca greeted us and were let in. The apartment is in perfect location, there is a restaurant next door (da Pietro), and everything in the centro storico is within easy walking distance. The apartment is fabulous with everything you could want for a wonderful stay in a beautiful area, and it was spotless with the use of space well designed. A great air conditioned sitting area, with a small but well equipped kitchen area attached. Then up the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom which has additional air conditioning. As we were staying for 2 weeks and had travelled with no hold luggage, we used the washing machine and enjoyed hanging the clothes out of the window to dry ensuring it didn't drip onto da Pietro clients!
As we flew into Olbia we had a hire car, which is the only downside because you can't park in the historic centre. However there is a large FREE car park 5 minutes walk away. If you have a car we would recommend Bosa to the south as a nice beach to visit, with a wonderful drive along the coastal highway. Going the other way we really enjoyed Stintino. Bombarde was very nice but in August absolutely packed by 11:00 am.
Francesca was so helpful and made many recommendations for beaches and restaurants where we could sample some traditional Sardinian cuisine, as well as fabulous sea food. You can hardly go wrong for food in Alghero.
Equally Tiziana was very helpful and friendly during the booking process.

Feel like a local in the beautiful historic centre
This is the perfect little apartment where me and my wife spent a couple of days of our honeymoon. It´s right in the middle of everything but still without noisy surroundings. Tiziana the landlord is a very sweet and flexible landlord. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to feel a bit more local while staying in this beautiful town.

Just perfect
Me and my three girl firiends went to Alghero in May. We wanted something downtown, close to the port and surrouded by the Italian spirit of Alghero. I chose this apartment and it was, no doubt, the best decision we made in our short trip to Cerdeña -it rained all the time, so we spent many hours at the apartment. Thank God we made a good decision about it- . I would recommend it to anybody, specially to couples thinking about a romantic italian break.
The apartment is even better than it looks in the pictures: clean, spacious and really cute -Tiziana' got an eye for the detaill, you'll love it-. It's located in the medieval area of Alghero: absolutelly charming. The port is a five or four minute walk from it, also the best pizzerias in Alghero and the comercial area. The attention is also excellent: Tiziana and Francesca will give you all the advise you neet to get to know La Sardinia, you'll also find some practic information the've collected in the apartment. I would definitelly repeat if I come back to Alghero (I may do it with my partner).
A note about the beaches. If you wish to go to the beach, you will neet to take a bus (10 minutes) or to rent a car. There're beaches in Alghero, but they are not worth it at all -I wouldn't even call them beaches-. Most of the hotels in Alghero are located exactly in that area (which is in the outskirts of the town, where you will find nothing). Don't get cheated: they're not in front of the beaches, because those are not beaches.
I haven't said anything about the reservation: in Alghero some apartments ask you to pay ALL the money for the reservationin advanced, which is completelly crazy. In this case, you pay a part in advanced and the rest when you actually check in. Extra point for Tiziana.

Spring in Alghero
We had a wonderful holiday in Alghero. The apartment is well situated in the old town of Alghero. The apartment was clean, tidy, well equipped and Francesca was there to greet us and arrived promptly when we had to leave. We would consider staying there again.
It is easy to hire bicycles and get out into the countryside which at this time of year was very green with flowers and blossom starting to show. We would recommend a tour with naturalghero.com who run ecotours and were very friendly and informative.
Alghero has some very nice seafood restaurants and Al Tuguri was one of the highlights. If you can spend your last evening sitting outside a restaurant on the sea wall watching the sun go down then you will probably think of returning

Fantastic apartment
This apartment is fantastic - right in the centre of everything and an easy walk to everywhere. Tiziana is very kind and I am sure she will make sure you enjoy your stay - lots of advice about Alghero, and she definetly knows the best beaches! We will come back as soon as possible. For great pizza (well to our taste anyway), try PocoLoco. Air conditioning is very important - you will melt otherwise and thankfully Tizianas apartment has 2 ac units...

Romantic stay in Alghero
We have just returned from a holiday in Sardinia during which we spent ten nights in this apartment located in Via Machin which is in the ‘Old Town’.
For a holiday which ‘has it all’ Alghero is the perfect choice, sun, sea, fishing, cycling, the best of seafood, great shops etc. and if you want to experience La Dolce Vita we recommend living in the old town and this apartment is everything that you could wish for.
The apartment is in a mezzanine layout, lots of space, and great windows through which to look and listen and experience the life of the old town. The bedroom is upstairs and has two skylight type windows also, through which you can hear the bells and particularly those of Chiesa di San Francesco which is very near. Downstairs there is the kitchen and living room and also the bathroom which are all very spacious. Everything that you will need is in the apartment even including lunch boxes if you wish to picnic. All the restaurants, shops and bars that you need are nearby including the best Pizza just on the doorstep (thanks guys).
The owner Tiziana and her friend Francesca are most helpful and were like personal tour guides with the answers to any questions and many helpful suggestions on where to visit etc.
It is not possible to convey in a few short paragraphs the character and style of this apartment so we can only recommend that you go and see for yourself!

Wonderful stay in Alghero
We, a Swedish family of four (two girls - 10 and 13 years old), planned our Easter vacation late but was happy to get a very quick return of our request. Tiziana didn´t just give us the details of the apartment, she also gave us useful informaton about the area.
The apartment is very nice and is situated right in the middle of "everything" - it is close to go for a walk in the old city, it is close to a lot of restaurants, it is close to grocery stores and the market with vegetables, fish, meat and cheese, it is not far to walk to the Maria Pia beach, you have a lot of buses near by and it is a big free parking in the area. This makes your vacation very easy to enjoy! In the aparment you have everything you might need - the only thing we missed was a balcony or terrass (otherwise we would have given it 5 stars!)
We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back!

lovely stay
It was a lovely stay, charming and in the middle of the old town. Service was the best, every thing we need was there. Lot of restaurants, we like Paco the best. Dutch owners and very good food. We ordered beef in restaurant Pietro, below the appartment and we got porc, that was not so good. We enjoyed our 2 days stay and it was a little bit too short. I like to advise travelers to stay in this charming house.

Perfect apartment in a beautiful location
We are just back from our first trip to Alghero, and I can safely say that we will be back.
The whole trip was fabulous, but a lot hinged on the apartment - and it really couldn't have been better.
As this was our first experience of renting a private apartment we were a little nervous about it, but the service we received means that I will probably never book another package holiday again.
Our flight into Alghero was quite late (we arrived just before 9pm on a Sunday) and even though we arrived early, I sent a quick message to Anna-maria (who was lovely) to say that we would be earlier than expected. Not only was the apartment about 500 yards from the bus-stop, but she was there ready and waiting at the door to welcome us.
The apartment itself was exactly as it looks in the photos - romantic and charming. The location was perfect for us, right in the middle of the old town; surrounded by cobbled streets and pretty restaurants, and only a short walk from a beautiful beach.
It was also very well equipped - it really had everything we could have needed! On one of the days we rented bikes to see a bit more of the island and there was even Tupperware and tin-foil for our pic-nic!
Overall I couldn't recommend this apartment more highly - I've recommended not only Alghero but this apartment to anybody who's asked me how my holiday went. I can honestly say book it and you will not be disappointed!
