Brand new. There were no TV remote in the room. After calling the front desk to ask for a new one, they quickly brought us a new one.

Pillows were too thick.

J’ai trouvé le lit particulièrement confortable et la chambre très bien insonorisée, la proximité des ascenseurs ne nous a pas dérangés. Aussi apprécié le système de climatisation pour son efficacité et sa tranquillité. Meilleure nuit de tout ce voyage de près de deux semaines.

Breakfast was ok if you actually ate there when there are no crowds. Receptionist was friendly and apologetic. Room was spacious.

When we arrived, the room was not ready! There was a team of baseball players and their rooms weren’t ready either, and we weren’t given a convincing explanation as to why (or got conflicting stories). We had to wait in the lobby while the receptionist helped the new housekeeper scrambling to clean the rooms. We had to wait over 40 minutes after checking in, and got to our room after midnight! And breakfast started at 6 and ended at 9 am, so the receptionist said they’d set aside plates for us for when we wake up. They also allowed us to check out later, but this was really disappointing. We stayed here last year but I doubt we’ll come back!

Staff are great and always willing to make your stay an excellent experience. The building is new and maintained to be pristine.

Had a bright outside light shining into our room all night. The blind was not blackout and could not block the light. My husband couldn’t sleep. Shampoo was empty. Breakfast was cold. Two days after my checkout there are still two pending charges on my credit card (one with an unnecessary deposit). I assume one will disappear but I consider a $50 deposit at a hotel like this an added level of complication. I don’t need the aggravation of following up on this.

This hotel is fairly new, it was comfortable and quiet, had a great view towards Port Hope and a corn field. Plenty of car parking and free. Good location for touring and Port Hope is small but a pleasant place. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous.

The grounds are unkept and weeds everywhere, it is clear that there is a maintenance issue. The door on our first room did not close properly when locked, there was an inch gap when pushed. We were given another room above, this door also did not completely lock and again a gap, must be a feature! The door on our second room had evedentally been slammed a few times because the room number was on the floor and off the wall. I propped it on a box outside the room. The carpets were also in need of a vacuum, bits of paper everywhere. The breakfast was included, but forget it, dreadful, plastic cutlery and paper plates and plastic food, tastless. Not your usual Hampton Inn standards.

hotel was incredibly clean, staff was very helpful and kind being pet friendly was incredibly important to us and made our stay amazing! the included breakfast was beyond expectations and would be a reason to return!
