Location was aces! House had all we needed for home cooking. Lots of towels, beach towels, pillows, extra blankets, etc.
Super views from the top level of the house. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but doable. Overall, a great time was had by all.

We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop and chatting by the fire. The house is set up beautifully for a family reunion - lots of places to chat.
The hosts were fantastic and checked in with us to make sure everything was perfect.
The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfast and meals.
We will return!
My only complaint - and this is true of all vrbos - is that the number of private bedrooms can be misleading. There was a third floor with bunk beds that didn’t have a door or privacy. I should have really read everything with scrutiny.

Our family from age 71 to under 1 - 15 total - had a great time! Location is perfect to visit the calm Bay side or the beach for body surfing and wave hopping!! Parking was a bit of a challenge with three cars, as one vehicle was really too large to fit with another car in garage and very difficult to get in and out of car if parked in the car port. One complaint was when I inquired before we came about Pack and Play for two little ones - we were advised to rent and when we arrived we found one in each unit! And we did rent one crib and bring our own too!
Overall - we all had a great time and made some great family memories!

This place had everything we needed! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens, towels, etc. we were overjoyed with all the beach equipment in the garage, wagon, boards, wetsuits, the kids had a blast!! We did try to text the PM, as a repair man showed up and we wanted to make sure he was actually supposed to be there. Never heard back.

We rented upstairs and downstairs with family and LOVED this location so much! Both properties well stocked and organized, amazing market with groceries and drinks right across alley and beach and bay are both less than 5 minute walks. We can’t wait to come back! 10 minute walk to Belmont park and busy boardwalk. Toys and beach chairs on-site - we will be back! (Frequent SoCal travelers from AZ and UT)

We rented upstairs and downstairs with family and LOVED this location so much! Did not disappoint!!
Amazing stay, amazing house, amazing location- walk to both ocean and bay as well as restaurants, amusements, etc. Check in was a breeze, amenities were just as listed in the description. Highlight of the house was the rooftop deck. Only suggestion for future renters is to be cautious of the sizes of cars you are bringing. The garage is very tight. We had 2 SUV’s that we were unable to park in the garage due to size but there is ample street parking - just beware of street sweeping. Other than that, it was amazing and everything we hoped for!

Amazing girls weekend
The property location could not have been better. Walking distance to beach, bay, grocery, restaurants, and Belmont Park. The house was beautiful with a rooftop deck/firework and water views. The property owner was flexible and communicative. Would definitely return!

I booked both units to accommodate several of my friends and their families to stay together before my wedding. It was a great option for a semi big group. Location was really great, near food, attractions, beach and bay. The roof top desk has amazing views!

Awesome Family Reunion
This VRBO was the perfect place to have our Family’s Thanksgiving get together( after 2 years of of not seeing each other) grandchildren & parents downstairs & us upstairs along with son & his wife. Every morning kids would arrive upstairs to see nana & papa!
We we so comfortable here- everything you needed .We cooked Thanksgiving dinner downstairs and enjoyed eating on the deck - then of to the beach ( so close).
The host was great - always answering any questions & accommodating early check in on the upstairs unit plus a rebate due to the oven not working. Thank you again!

Great Location, Excellent Communication
The property is very well located, we were able to enjoy the beach and also paddle board in the bay. Lots of beach towels and beach chairs. We rented both units, plenty of room for 10 adults gathering upstairs. The owner was always super responsive. Kitchen very roomy and well stocked with equipment though showing some wear. I was able to do a convenient workout on the little deck off of the loft bedroom. We loved the roof deck and gathered there for every sunset! The only downsides were the lack of shade on the deck (unfortunately there was just a non-functional umbrella), and though the hot tub isn’t highlighted on the website, seeing it in the photos made me hope that it might be working but it seems to be permanently out of service. BTW, as some people have mentioned, the carport is tight, and the alley is narrow so it was challenging to park even my 2-door Audi. But all-in-all It was a relaxing and enjoyable property that I would recommend if you have a large group!

With first time our entire family was together for many years, the three levels served all of us well! The weather cooperated for lounging on the beach, playing beach games, and riding the waves! Parking easy. Evenings and early mornings were beautiful from top (open) deck. Thank you very much.

Booking and check-in were very easy. The host answered all inquiries very quickly. There were lots of beach chairs, sand toys, bikes, etc. available for use in the garage, and beach towels were in the closets in both units. Great location to access the beach and the bay, and the neighbors are very friendly.

Overall this was a great place. It was perfect for our large family as we rented the upstairs and downstair unit together. They do no connect on the inside, we weren’t clear on that till we arrived but it made no difference to us. The balcony on the upstairs unit is awesome. The place was clean with lots of amenities. If I was nit picking I would say the place is a little older looking in person than what the pictures show. It could use a new railing and on the deck. With that being said I would still rent it again in a heartbeat. The communication was great and the place had everything we needed for our stay.

Sweet beach retreat
Our family really enjoyed the proximity to the “hard beach” (ocean side) and the “soft beach” (gentle bay side). Our kids and grandkids had a wonderful time in the water. We rented both the upstairs and the down for 16 people. Downstairs was a little tight for 10 people. Lots of space to hang out on the decks and we especially enjoyed the rooftop deck for the fireworks and stars. Being a big group we had several cars and found the southmost parking lot the easiest to find a spot for our extra car. Toni was very helpful and responsive to our questions.

We had a family of 12 ranging from age 12 to 72 and it was able to accomodate everyones needs. From the very short walk to the bay or ocean, to hanging out on the back patio or the rooftop. There are plenty of beach chairs bikes and boogie boards to use which was a very pleasant surprise. House was stocked with linens and all our kitchen needs. Another bonus is there is a small market and some eateries just a few steps from the garage. Highly recommend staying here for a great atmosphere and relaxing vacation.

Great stay at this Mission Beach oasis. We had an unforeseen issue arise and Toni was very communicative and speedy in helping us get it resolved. Plenty of room for our large family in both units and the market, pizza and taco shops next door were super convenient.

We had 2 apartments well appointed with a roof top deck that was wonderful! A few minor issues but air worked well ! Jacuzzi is in the video but not functioning beds were ok Grills worked as we used both for a birthday party! Overall great!

Great property!
Really nice house, great location, spacious. Large, convenient kitchen. Short, easy walk to both beach and bay. Clean and well stocked. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend.

Great location, perfect for large families
This property is in a perfect location and excellent for large families. Everyone had a wonderful time. It rained very hard while we were there and we ended up with some severe leaks in the ceiling so we contacted the owner who addressed the problem immediately. The only issue that we had was that there are not enough pots and pans to properly cook for large parties of people. We made due by putting all of the pots and pans in one unit but I would suggest that if you have to cook for large parties to bring your own pots. I would highly recommend this property for large family get togethers. It is walking distance to lots of fun things to do. Thank you Toni for everything and just to let you know, Karen (next door manager) was excellent.

Great space, great owner, great location!
This is a very nice 2-unit property that can be rented individually or together depending on the size of the group. The upstairs unit has an open floor plan that is great for entertaining, and has lots of balconies and decks. The lower unit is a more basic 2-bedroom apartment that would be quieter and more private. The space was clean and well-equipped. The property is in a very convenient Mission Beach location, close to both the bay and ocean sides, as well as recreational trails, restaurants, bars, and convenience stores all within walking distance, The owner Toni was very hospitable and attentive to our check-in and stay. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again in the future.

Amazing Beach House!!!
We had a wonderful experience at this property in Mission Beach. It provided more than enough space for a group of 12. Beautiful rooftop with multiple lounge areas. The market right next door is perfect for any on the go or last minute needs.

Not sure what we liked best, the location, the views from the rooftop or the many different patios to accommodate your many moods. We rented both units allowing each couple to have their own bedroom and bath. Kitchens were well stocked. Both units had parking and washer & dryers. Our group vowed to return.
