My single room wasnt ready on arrival so they gave me a free up grade, double room, clean and tidy room.plenty of space with a kitchen next door for use. Would 100% stay again.

Only one thing that i didnt like was the door bell could be heard ringing many times late evening, , however it was a Saturday night 😊

The bathroom didn’t look like it had been cleaned following previous user - I chose not to use the shower. insufficient toilet paper. TV wasn’t set up to use.

the bed was cheap springs you could feel them only 1 cup when there was 2 of us hole in the wall tape on the rad in the bathroom just a bad experience not worth £59 per night if any thing more like £30 would not recommend it

The chap who welcomed us was very friendly.

Adjacent room was loud. No air con in the room meaning it was either boil in the hot weather, or open the windows and have outside noise of pubs emptying etc. Floor was filthy. Walls damaged.

Lovely bathrooms, our double room was comfortable but very warm, it was only in the morning we worked out how to open the velux window .

T.he sheet on the bed looked grubby

The owner made me feel welcome from the start and is a nice guy to get along with. He even ironed my clothes for me. Rooms were fully clean and facilities were in top condition.

The staff rang me to ask when I'm gonna arrive. The staff was present at the building during my arrival to check me in & hand over the room keys.

The window curtains were broken There was only one bathing towel instead of 2 There was no one to contact after checking in The door lock to the room was slightly broken One of the glass cups in the room on arrival was used & unwashed The toilet seat wasn't screwed in properly The side chair was old & had a big tear on it The communal lounge was a mess & unkempt

The proximity to the County Cricket Ground

We checked in & were attended to by one member of staff & that was the first & last time we saw any staff during our 4 night stay. Only one small hand towel & one small bath towel were provided for the 2 of us. The smaller “white” towel was grey & dirty looking. The larger one was a bit better quality & looked white and clean, but had a hole in it. There was only one toilet roll, which ran out & as the room wasn’t serviced at all during our stay, forced us to buy our own rolls from a local shop. Tea, coffee & sugar were provided, but no milk at all. There was one standard sized mug & one very small mug. These mugs were stained & needed to be replaced. There wasn’t room for anyone to get in & out of the bed easily on one side by the window. The only way was to push oneself up or down sitting on the mattress, which was not easy for a 70 year old & really not convenient, especially during the night. The “white” bed linen was very thin, worn & grey through washing. The quality was poor & should be thrown on a fire. Finally, the bin on the landing was overflowing, so we had nowhere to dispose of our rubbish.

Shocking facilities shocking staff. Place was disgusting avoid like the plague. I do NOT recommend the above hotel....

Stop offering a hotel services and sell the building for re development.

everything, No free parking !!, room was too hot and could not turn down the heating, facilities in the room was for one person instead of two, tv in room was covered in dust and I only had to touch the tv cause the remote didn’t work on the tv. No Wi-Fi it didn’t work and most of all the bed sheets smelled of older and had not been cleaned not fresh. and last of all the shower was cold and would not get warm very disappointing

The place was nice, the views, cleanness. My boy loved it. I went with my son, he wanted us to stay more day, as if it was free 😃

Room was spacious, bathroom clean and beds were comfy enough. It was cheap so my expectation was low, however, there were mirrors, tea/coffee, a tv, and functional beds in the room as well as plenty of space for three people. I was happy with what we had for the price we paid. It was perfectly placed for our visit and although there wasn't any designated parking, there was plenty of free parking around the side roads. The staff were really friendly and helpful too.

The chair cushion could do with a good deep clean but that's about it.

Noreen was very friendly and my stay at Oscar Lodge was great - I was in town for a cousin's wedding and it was a perfect place to commute on foot from, and comfy, and excellent value for money. Thank you!
