We've stayed at better rooms for less dollars. The bed wasn't real welcoming, ( it slept like a cheap mattress). The AC didn't cool off the room well (the room kept getting warm, and we kept lowering the temp during the night). The room was clean, but cheaply furnished and bedding. No breakfast or coffee in room. Coffee was in the lobby only.. the refrig and micro worked well. The room was overpriced. The Ck in was great...very friendly helpful . Probably won't stay again.

We have not stayed at a Budget Inn since the early 1990s and I was leery what I would find. I shouldn't have worried! The hotel is easily accessible off of Highway 50, right behind the Burger King and KFC. The parking lot is spacious and you are able to unload under a carport.
David behind the desk is a treasure as he recommended several places to eat, was concerned about other minor issues we had and otherwise was quite pleasant
There is coffee in the lobby, no other food.
Our room was pretty warm when we arrived and we never did figure out that it was controlled by a remote until an hour before we left. But that's not the hotel's fault.
If you're looking for a family friendly base for exploring Cañon City give this hotel.a chance.

Staff is great. Can tell they try to do what they can (little things) to beautify the property. Only so much you can do with 20-25 year old carpet and beds.

The staff was very helpful. Anytime we needed something for the room we were able to get it easily. The staff was very friendly. The room for the most part was clean except for the fridge. There was food left in it from the previous guest. as soon as this was brought to the staffs attention, it was addressed. The window was broken and the smoke detector had a plastic bag over it. This was brought to their attention as we left. There was no breakfast and I felt that this was something that should be addressed as it would help in having more guest.

We drove as far as we cared too from Kansas City and decided to sleep here overnight before leaving early in the morning for Whitewater rafting the Royal Gorge. We were not looking for anything fancy, we just needed beds to sleep in. David at the front desk was incredible. Our mini fridge wasn’t working; we didn’t care, but we wanted him to know because of how nice and insistent he was to let him know of something was wrong. He said he’d fix it and we assured him we didn’t need it fixed (we used the forge in our kids room). He brought up a working mini fridge within ten minutes. He’s the reason for the 5 star review. I’ll gladly stay here again

The staff was very welcoming. Unfortunately, the place has not been upgraded in probably 30 years. The beds were old, hard. Worse night sleep I've ever had... and that's saying a lot! The pillows sub-par. Outlets hidden or so old that you had to prop the cord to assure they wouldn't fall out. Again, staff was very accommodating but the place needs a major facelift and TLC.

I was treated like a queen. I ended up staying 4 nights while husband in hospital and I was greeted by name every time. They made sure I had everything I needed. Friendly and caring

My stay overall was adequate at best. The room was as clean as it could be but most of the fixtures were way out dated and a few were in disrepair. There were ants crawling in and around the sink. the carpet was very stained and worn in spots. Same with the towels and linens.
When I arrived to check in there was a sign on the front desk reading, "back in 30 minutes" no indication as to the starting time. Someone finally showed up 45 minutes from my arrival. This was not a good start. I will say the gentlemen working the front desk was pleasant to deal with and helpful. I would not recommend this as a good place to stay.

This hotel was an older building but was exceptional!!!! Extremely clean! The staff- mainly David was extremely helpful and extremely professional! He was very friendly, very polite and very accommodating!!! The place was very clean and overall very nice! The pool was warm and we had a great time! I will definitly be staying here everyone i go to Canon city Co!!! Out of 1-10 i give it an 11!!!
