The staff were great. The bed was small and not very comfy. The duvet was soo thin that if the heating hadn’t been on we would have been cold.

The whole staff were incredible from the reception ladies to Dale who helped me with the suitcases and valet parked my car . Dinner was another lovely experience . The hotel is situated conveniently near all the York attractions .
I will recommend this hotel to friends and family .

We had a wonderful stay at the Dean Cort. Location is perfect, directly in front of the Minster. Staff were helpful and polite. There was no AC but that is how it is in a lot of places.
The breakfast was amazing, definately fuel for a day of sight seeing in York.

Excellent location just opposite the Minster in a quieter part of town.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast (included) offered many options.
Room was uncomfortably warm due to unusually high temperatures. Unfortunately that may be the trend going forward. Was thankful for the room fan, but more cooling would have been welcome.
Otherwise, I very much enjoyed my stay.

I had a wonderful few days st Deans Court. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its a small hotel so i felt quite at home. Especially as I was a solo traveler.

The main selling point for this hotel is the location, right on the doorstep of York minster.
The staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived, the breakfast was excellent and the view of the Minster from the dining room was fantastic
The only criticism I could make if any would be value for money as some of the rooms are quite small, obviously the hotel is in an old building so the room sizes cannot be blamed on poor design. The cost is most likely driven by the location which is fantastic as previously mentioned, I would definitely recommend this hotel even if it is a little expensive

The receptionists and related staff were very accommodating! One staff member, Frank, was exceptionally kind, took an interest of where we were from in the U.S.A. and shared info about York. Food was great, comfy bed and great shower! Staff was 10 out of 10!!

Great location - walk to major attractions such as York Minster (across street), Shambles, Wall, restaurants, train station.
Staff excellent - front desk, breakfast staff, bar.
Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.

So this one is tough. The location is amazing, the staff are incredible and we loved York but we came during a hot time and the lack of AC and the somewhat dated nature of the hotel made for an uncomfortable stay. That said, we had a lovely time but it was a little rough

Top notch customer service, excellent location and would recommend for anyone visiting York to see the city. Breakfast was disappointing when comparing to other bits of our stay.

Perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was very large but somewhat dated. If traveling in a hot period, note that there is no air conditioning. No lift to 1st floor room, but the staff was willing to help take luggage up and down if needed.

Perfect position and literally only steps away from the Minster. Easy access to the typical York city centre ancient shopping streets. The hotel itself is comfortable and well appointed, and the staff were helpful and charming. The only negative point is the minuscule lift which barely holds two people and a suitcase. Valet parking is an additional bonus

The location was fantastic, right next door to York Minster.
Did not like the heat in our top floor bedroom. The room was very comfortable and pleasant and air conditioning was supplied and helped a lot. However we were still very warm!

Surprisingly noisy most of the night - from chatting smokers under the room window, to loud drunks, to 4am road cleaning, to 5am bin emptying. But it's a city. That's how things are.

Woken up by dustbin collection at 5am so never got back to sleep. Towels did not look as clean and fresh as normal and breakfast was nowhere as good as previously. Bacon well undercooked black pudding perfume tasting (too much penny royal maybe) and very greasy hash brown. i left half my breakfast which was also smaller 1 egg 1 rasher of bacon 1 sausage black pudding 1 hash brown mushrooms and baked beans. Normally 2 of everything. Not that i mind this as if edible i would have been full. Staff are always excellent here so such a shame about things letting our stay down

Great stay staff lovely and room lovely but the only let down for me was the breakfast if you don’t eat fried food or eggs there is not much more choice! The Inn Collection hotels always used to have a fruit platter which was great but they do not do fruit at all now which is a great shame

Lovely hotel, nice staff. Room was clean, a little too warm but there is a fan provided. The tv wasn’t good as there was only a few channels available, not even 1-5.
Breakfast was nice, included in the price. Valet parking £25 but they said we can have it later if necessary. We were two hours early for check in and allowed to use our room so that was great.
Location excellent. We will definitely stay again on next visit to York.

Great hotel overlooking the Minster and with a very easy walk to all attractions and the railway station. Welcoming staff, warm, cosy and clean room, great breakfast - all round lovely!
