The age is showing on this hotel. Mildew in the shower, carpets in the hall could use a good steam clean. Nothing too terrible, but not exceptional. One front desk staff was incredibly rude, the rest were average.

Very rude front desk attendant when checking in. The groups behind us noticed this as well and discussed it with us, so I wasn’t the only one. If we weren’t there for a wedding we would have left immediately and stayed elsewhere. Also, the pub and restaurant had limited hours and when we did eat at the pub, the service was poor. Also, a man doing hard drugs out front by the front door.

This our 3rd stay here in just over a year. We were a disappointed this visit for several reasons. We ran out of toilet paper during our 2 night visit. They do not leave you with a spare roll. Our liquid hand soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty. This hotel does not have bars of soap. Luckily we had a bar of soap packed with our toiletries. I could not iron my pants and shirt with iron provided. There was some kind of residue baked on the irons surface. We were locked out of our room several times in the 2 days we stayed. The key cards would not work. Had to go to the front desk to get them reprogrammed 3 separate times. I do like this hotel. It is clean. The staff are friendly. Our breakfasts here have always been served hot and tasty.

I rated this hotel a 3 for a couple of reasons. It's definitely not above a 3 star, but rating it lower would not be fair. First off, the rooms smell like stale smoke. The first room we were given had a VERY strong stench, so when we went back to the front desk, they gave us another room right away. The 2nd room didn't smell much better. The funny part is, it says 'no smoking' everywhere. Perhaps its in the carpets, furniture & walls? The rest of the room was as clean as you can make clean taking into consideration the age of the updates. This is an old hotel, but the rooms seem to have been slightly updated maybe 20 years ago. The bedding is decent, but the beds are not...they are terribly uncomfortable. The overall cleanliness of the room & interior of the hotel was clean, which helps with the score. There were 2 ladies at the front desk when we checked in. One was younger than the other...and that younger lady was VERY rude to her coworker, right in front of us. The other lady was the one who checked us in and she was quite pleasant...the younger one needs to learn some people skills. The area is super sketchy. To the point where I would not feel safe arriving late at night in the dark. I'm glad that my ground floor room was in the courtyard vs. the parameter of the parking lot. Glad to see big bright lights in parking lot...was honestly a bit worried about my car being broken into...it wasn't tho. Would I stay here again? Very unlikely unless I was stranded.

Rooms are very old and dated but clean. Did the trick for a place to stay. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. I definitely like a firm mattress but it was honestly so rock hard that you really felt like you were sleeping on the floor. The AC in the rooms barely works. The one woman at the front desk is very unpleasant. The service at the restaurant is extremely slow. Do not order food there if you are planning on catching a ferry that day, as it took well over an hour to get our food and I didn’t even come out hot.

The shower is unusual, so look for the instruction sign before stepping in & getting ankle deep in water. Nice to have free continental breakfast in the hotel restaurant with attentive staff. Option of $5 off menu items. Great central location. Elevator, luggage racks make 2nd floor room with lots of luggage very straightforward. Computer with printer available to guests. Fridge has small freezer. Iron, ironing board, hair dryer, good bedside charging ports. Only ‘deficiency’ was no microwave but there isn’t much spare counter for one. If you rent or bring one, it cuts into your dining area. Very pleased overall, would happily stay again.

It's a bit low on charm, being in the middle of a giant strip mall parking lot, but it's clean and does the job. Breakfast is standard but nice, and the dining room is sunny with a view onto the courtyard rather than the parking lot.

Made a reservation for 5 people. Paid the extra fee for fifth person. Had 2 double beds to sleep in ... (basically 4 beds for 5 people). Then staff insisted on us having to pay for bringing an extra bed into the room for the 5th person for our 2 night stay. Blamed it on Expedia and did not come forward to help a customer out. This isn't a huge problem for a hotel to solve. Apart from that debacle, our stay was great.

Nice hotel, centrally located with retro "1980's" feel. Rooms and facilities are comfortable. Great place for a relaxed feel while staying in the area. The only downside was staffing. Front counter people are scarce or too busy answering the phone. Management needs to get rid of the plexi glass and put the phone bookings in the backroom where they belong. Overall, recommend the hotel for a relaxing retro good feel!

The staff were great, it was clean, and it was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go.

Staff was very accommodating, they helped me out graciously as they're were no taxis, uber or rental cars available.

The pub bartender was the best! She was such a nice person.

I would rather of had a discount in price rather than the food vouchers as we were visiting family. We returned food vouchers to front desk when checking out. Also, there could have been info on the fact that you don’t change sheets. And the make up room sign was not visible on the DO NOT DISTURB SIGN.

Staff had no desire to go the extra mile (or even quarter of a mile). Breakfast was lacking and there was only one person working at it. Spare pillow in the room was dirty.

Decent for the price. Place is dated and could use an update. Ice maker didn't work.

I stayed three nights and my bed was not made one time. Zero housekeeping the first day. The second day they emptied the garbage but left no towels. (I had brought the situation to the staff's attention). The empty Kleenex box was never replaced. The towels and washcloths were not replaced. The air conditioner was so loud I had to turn it off. On the third day I found about 10 short dark hairs in my sink. My hair is long and brown. The breakfast was great. Something has changed - I've stayed there before and had absolutely no issues.

Wonderful front desk agent! We enjoyed talking with this lovely young woman who recently moved to Canada from India. Bright, hardworking, thorough and pleasant!

3 minutes from the ferry terminal, so convenient. Staff were very accommodating & friendly. It’s an older hotel but we’ll looked after & clean. The room had everything a big expensive hotel has… they even had comfy robes in the rooms. One of the most comfortable hotels we have stayed in.
