Super nice hotel, rooms were super clean. Loved how it was within walking distance of Mystic Village. Would definitely recommend checking it out

Very close to Mystic Village

Pool was awesome. Staff was very polite and attentive. Every part of the hotel pays homage to the hard working women and men of Mystic in the era of wooden shipbuilding and commercial fishing for cod, lobsters, and oysters. Short walk to the awesome aquarium and Old Mystic Village. There are plenty of spots to hang out and relax inside and outside the hotel. We would highly Recommend!

Shower gel was out for our entire stay. Asked twice for it to be refilled but it never was. Pillowcase dirty on check in and tv was not working

Room was fine, bathroom needs upgrading. Tv didn't work, called front desk at 7:00, repair person arrived at 9:00. We were in bed. Ccoulduuseuse some upupgradig.

Loved staying here - super convenient to all the local destinations. Walkable to the aquarium and olde mystic village - short drive to everything else! Great for families

I was a bit disappointed in my stay. While the facility was clean, I found the staff lacking. One hint that shocked me was that as I arrived before the 4:00pm check in time, I would have to pay $25 to be texted when my room was ready. What? Never have I ever encountered this. Also, housekeeping was lax. The sheets had a few stains and I was told the bedding would be changed and it wasn’t. Another day, after exploring Mystic for the day, I came back to my room at 5:30pm to find my room had not been cleaned. And upon check out, the desk staff was most robotic. No personality, no pleasantries. Just looked like she didn’t want to be there. A most disappointing experience in total.

It was a very convenient location for us

I like that it's near mystic old village and Downtown. It was convenient location with lots of tourist things to do and great food options especially by the river. The pool is definitely outdated and needs renovations...the bathrooms and bedrooms are old...the sinks and toilet and bathroom are small and low ....the radiator is old looking. They definitely need to upgrade....the hotel staff wasn't engaging and didn't have activities as planned for the kids..it's decent if you just going to sleepover

The property from the outside is nice. The main entrance is very nice. The room left more to desire. It seemed outdated. The bathroom had mold above the shower head. You can clearly see they tried to patch an old leak. But there is a hole in the patch job. One of the lights was out in the bathroom. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. It was a good thing my husband doesnt like using them, so we had soap handy. Also didn't like that they could be tampered with.

Perfect hotel for a family stay. Indoor pool is always a hit with the kids but even better when they had a crafts room next door. Will stay here again.

I have a couple of complaints. Both the sink and the tub drain I room 116 did not work properly. Also there was no liquid shower soap . Other than those problems everything was wonderful.

Im proximity is key. But overall it was a beat up hotel, nice size rooms but we had a 5 minute walk to the elevators, my baby burned his fingers in the open fire pit, staff was not plentiful, ran out of complimentary coffee, rooms were less than clean- However it is right across the street from aquarium.

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location, right across the street from aquarium and village. CONS: room was dirty. Bathroom had a sewage smell to it. blood on the sheets (we were told No one from housekeeping was on. A random hotel employee brought us up new sheets to change the bedding ourselves). Nasty brown stuff stuck to the back of the fridge Fridge didnt work. AC unit was on constantly, even when we turned the temp up to keep it from turning on all the time. And it was very loud! No movies shown in the pool area as advertised for the kids. Asked front desk why movie wasn’t being shown. Got a different excuse every night. it was broken, there was no manager on to turn the movie on, etc. Pool area was dirty. The pool deck had nasty brown water. Pool looked very cloudy and water was really cold. Staff was VERY unfriendly. Blonde girl at front desk was very rude. Didn’t smile at all. Went down to get coffee from the lobby only to find both coffee jugs were empty. Went to let the girl know and she snapped at us. Never said hello to anyone when greeting them, never said thank you, enjoy your stay, welcome, NOTHING! Manager was just as unfriendly and miserable. Tried to address the issues we had (mainly the blood on the sheets) with him and he couldn’t care less. Kept using the excuse and throwing up to us that we booked through Expedia. At one point he even started raising his voice at us.

This was the perfect family stay. They let the kids pick a little "treasure" when we checked in, they had great breakfast options, and everyone was so nice. The location was great with a Starbucks, tons of shops, and the Mystic Aquarium right across the street. We did SO many things with the kids on our east coast trip, but the hotel's "purple pool with a movie" is the thing they won't stop talking about.

Overall average, property could use some Updating like the pool area. But it’s in a great location.

Nothing exactly right

Although the lobby makes a positive impression, the facilities beyond were dingy, out of date, and in need of repair. The pool was murky, with numerous puddles of standing water and trash (including a used bandaid!) scattered on the floor and used towels on almost every surface. We did not dare venture in the water. The layout of the hotel is quite confusing and many of the hallways had dehumidifiers and signs of potential mold on the walls. Our room had peeling paint and chipped privacy paint on the bathroom windows. However, the staff was kind and welcoming, very positive. The location is hard to beat if you’re there to visit the aquarium!

Overall, the stay was good and mostly uneventful, in any negative way. A couple things that stood out: 1. the very first staff member we encountered when we arrived to check in was unpleasant, short and gave us no information about the hotel or amenities. We subsequently witnessed this same employee being rude and short with other guests on 2 separate occasions. It certainly set the initial tone and I immediately questioned my choice to stay here. When we returned to the desk later on with a different issue, the woman who helped (property manager maybe?) was outstanding and helpful. It was clear that the woman we initially met with was the exception not the rule. 2. The room was somewhat outdated, particularly in the bathrooms, which could use some sprucing up. I did appreciate the full size reusable shower products. 3. The pool water appears dingy. I’m not sure that it actually is, but maybe the concrete could use a repaint. However, our kids loved the pool and could not care less. Do NOT miss the movie dive-in when there (if happening) . So neat to watch a movie while also swimming.
