The property is conveniently located and the staff were friendly and helpful. But I book a room to get sleep and that’s impossible if it’s not dark. The window shade was flimsy at best and the light from the parking lot streamed in. There clearly used to be a second shade—there was a chain for it. But it was gone. This was very disappointing as we’d driven 6 hours and were quite tired. Then in the am we go to shower and there was basically no water pressure. Don’t know if we got a bum room or if this experience is common, but I can’t say we’d stay again.

When we checked in they did not have any key cards available to get into our room! We had to get an employee and wait every time we wanted to get into our room or the ice machine room.

I have a mold allergy & was wondering why I couldn’t stop sneezing while I was sleeping.
I went to shower in the morning & noticed there is mold on the ceiling I. The bathroom & there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom.
I advised the front desk, and since I booked through Irbitz there wasn’t anything they could do.

The sheets on both beds in our room were very loose. This caused lumps and gathering of material instead of a smooth surface to sleep on.
Went to the restaurant for breakfast and after waiting for an hour for our omelette and biscuit with jelly, we left without eating. We were told that there was only one cook in the kitchen. Staff was apologetic.

Like some other hotels I have stayed at in the past, housekeeping knocked on my door 3 hours before check out to see if I was gone. There needs to be a better system. It was 9am & I had only checked it 730pm the night before. Pretty annoying.

The property was recently renovated, and they did a nice job. The staff was not very accommodating -- I told them (politely) that I had some difficulty understanding their accents (Turkish), and they somehow made it sound as though they spoke perfect English, and the problem was of my doing! Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? Not, apparently, at the Wayfarer!!!

We took a weekend trip to Delaware to visit family. Comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast. The only thing we had a problem with was there were teenagers running in the hallway screaming in which it interrupted my sleep, but I saw signs posted the next day addressing some of the issues.

Upon checkin front desk told me breakfast was extra even though I added during Expedia booking.
Bar did not have ingredients to make Moscow mule.
Restaurant did not have clam chowder and waited 15 minutes to inform us.
Was at breakfast for restaurant at 6am. Server waited until 615 to tell us chef was not available and no hot breakfast was available today.
It took another 15 minutes to bring out yogurt, bagels, and cereal. Wife had to ask several times for milk and plates. Sever rolled eyes and ignored first request. Wife had to go into kitchen and ask again. 640 am we gave up on breakfast and checked out very disappointed with service and staff responsiveness.
