Kind staff and extremely convenient location.

I stayed at the Edwardian for a weekend in San Francisco. The room was cheap and cheerful, and had everything I needed: comfortable bed, ensuite, shared tea and coffee making facilities. My stay was during spring and the room was sufficiently heated. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's located about 15 mins from the Mission and 20 mins from the Castro, with cafes nearby in a safe area. Some rooms face market street which can be a bit noisy at night, so recommend packing earplugs and an eye mask for an excellent night sleep. Wouldn't hesitate to return for a weekend in San Francisco!

Nice clean and modern room, great area, friendly staff.

Very very dirty stains on the beds and towels , Holes in the pillowcases. Hair all around the bathtub. When i walked in my hotel it smelled so bad . Very bad

Great value for money - the staff were really nice and social and my room felt clean. The staff said the elevator was quite slow so I took the stairs during my stay but that was not too bad at all. The area was convenient and felt safe enough around.

Room was ok… got cold at times and you can’t adjust the heat. Also the sink was not draining the whole time I was there. I called but nothing happened. Overall guess ok for the price

There is no parking. The windows have no safety bars or screen. The windows also don’t lock. The sink was clogged. The towels and blankets have stains all over it.

This is an old building and the room was small but enough for the price. The hotel is very well situated, close to downtown but also close to other areas in walkable distance and close to the subway. Very easy to go anywhere from here. The staff was very nice as well. The hotel is located in the busy Market street so bring earplugs for sleeping.

Great value. Will probably stay here again.

The staff is friendly and very welcoming. Also hotel has quick access to public transportation (the BART towards SFO airport access).

Standard room with shower in the back of the building was great. Clean quite safe. I would stay again. For the price it can’t be beat as there is a 24 hr door person.

Clean, safe place in a good location with friendly staff. But a few caviats: radiator didn't work, so they have us blankets and a space heater; we were given one set of physical keys which we had to keep track of; worst was the cage elevator that was difficult to operate. They need modernization, but of course then the rates would go up dramatically.

This is a lovely hotel. My room was small, but very clean. The neighborhood is very urban, but once I was in for the night I felt safe and had no problems. Thank you!

Property a decent price for San Francisco, a little disconcerting when I arrived and no one at the desk but after a phone call someone came down and everything went smoothly; quite a bit of noise from street people but I’m used to cities and was not overly affected

The bathroom was across the hall and there was no heat on 2 of 3 nights. I complained after the first night and the heat was on the next night, but was off the 3rd. After that, I just gave up.

The location was perfect, staff was friendly, it was clean..price was great...

Just left the property today after giving the key to the morning staff (6 AM). They’ve decided to put a hold on my $200 deposit (money that I need for the rest of my trip) stating I didn’t deliver my room keys. Even before checking with their staff. Terrible management. Not so desirable area. Room was ok for the price.

TV didn’t work. Serious stains on floor. Good staff and location. Clean and serviceable.

The hotel was good value and good location for public transportation with a bus stop right outside but most importantly the staff were fantastic. They were friendly and professional.

A perfect hotel is traveling solo or with a partner. The rooms are cozy but clean and have all you need. Centrally located and close to public transportation as well as tons of restaurants, cafes, & parks. Would definitely recommend & return!

It was ok, did the trick for coupke nights. Wasnt great customer service, lots of homeless around the building, elevator didnt work half the time. You could smell smoke in rooms and hallways

Great for the price and super convenient location, it's just a little old and run down but it looks like it has been in business since the silent film era. Also no kitchen appliances but coffee in the lobby in the mornings.

The hotel and room were what I expected for the price and location. The staff was great and accommodating.

Check was a breeze and the gentleman was very accommodating and professional.

Clean, very quiet, small bedroom but nice bathroom. Great location and excellent public transit. Safe with no homeless nearby. I would only have liked a lamp near the bed. Overhead lighting was not enough.

No coffee in room. Had to go downstairs to make coffee. Staff didn’t understand the city & had us going wrong directions. Homeless people screaming all night long.

It is extremely tiny and very old.

Best value in downtown SF, the hotel and clean, safe and well located. Nothing fancy but for this price it’s really good.
