This was our first time staying here! Monterey is a 15 min drive from here. The room was super clean! There’s a Walmart right down the street and a dennys right in front! Would definitely stay here again. Especially for the price!

2nd time here. I had to switch rooms after arrival because the first rooms bathroom smelled like urine heavily. Room change was easy with no issues.
It was an easy stay, close to the beach which is convenient.
It’s a good place for a quick cheap and easy stay,
But overall I was not comfortable, & I checked out a night early.

A little trip to the beach. This motel 6 is amazingly close to Marina state beach (close enough to walk), a Denny's restaurant on property and right next door to a Super Walmart and 7/11. All of the convenience you could ask for and the bonus of being right by the water.

Good stay for the weekend.. close to the beach..free coffee in the morning in lobby..clean property.. clean room and linens..many parking spots..motel is behind dennys and it felt safe

I'm not sure how this place has such high reviews, but staying here was not a great experience. The outside of the building looks nice from afar, but its not in the greatest of conditions. With it being a motel, however, I knew what to expect. The one thing I did NOT expect was the lack of cleanliness in the room. There were hair EVERYWHERE! Long black hair in almost every single towel. There were hair on the nightstand as well (right next to the card placed by the room service asking us to rate the cleanliness of the room). We were grossed out the entire time.
I know it's a motel and you get what you pay for, but the most basic component that you want is a clean room, which is not what we got. Not staying here again.

ITs a very beautiful quant property, but the fail (for me) is the housecleaning. The rook had hair in the shower area from IDK how long, under the bed hadn't been swept, and when lying down on the bed, watching tv, i seen on the bookshelf there was still food crumbs on it.

The rooms and surroundings were so loud, it didn’t become quiet enough to asleep until 630am. Feeling so unsafe/uncomfortable, I checked out early and requested a refund. The bed was also very loud and uncomfortable anytime you move on it. Would not stay here again.

Minimal water pressure and minimal amenities with sketchy people around the property. Typical Motel 6 in a CA beach town. Won't stay here again.

I only stay here because the location. They don’t give you the toiletries and the way pressure is absolutely awful. They don’t have breakfast in the morning or anything to offer except for coffee and tea. But there is a Walmart, 7-Eleven and a Denny’s all right there so it makes it convenient plus the beach is just right up the street. I will however continue booking this hotel purely for the convenience but if you’re looking to hang out in your hotel room, I would suggest other places.

The staff and the surrounding amenities are great. The unfortunate issue was that the bed was too high off the ground. The pedestal and the mattress made it difficult to get into the bed easily.
The grounds are nice, but they were not looked after. A half-inflated balloon was lying in the courtyard for the entire 3 days I was there. I picked it up and disposed of it.
Their care for the customer by the staff was exemplary. They showed great care for my Service Dog as well. Having a large area to walk and care for my dog.

Nice and easy to find, check in was good, free tea and coffee in thr morning which was. The room was okay not the biggest but not bad value for money.

The entry door didn’t open easily, seemed to be in need of maintenance to address the functionality. The cable tv was terrible, it would display “no signal/weak signal” message on many of the channels! No microwave or coffee maker in room…

The property location was nearby everything. There’s a Denny’s next door. A Walmart and gas station down the block. Supermarket and restaurants less than 5 minutes. Cannery row was a 20 minute drive.Our suite was nice and included a microwave and mini refrigerator. We did have a few issues: the TV connection was off at times and we were disappointed that we couldn’t use any apps like Netflix. Also the drain in the sink wouldn’t stay propped up to drain. Other than that, it was an overall great stay for two days. The staff was friendly and helpful. We plan on visiting again.

Haven’t stayed in a Motel 6 in 15 years, I was pleasantly surprised at how they have improved. Room was large, beds good, nice clean floors, 3 pillows on each bed that were queen size. Staff very friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay again. Only negative was no coffee maker in room. Had to go to office.

The beach area didn't allow dogs on the beach so that was a big disappointment. Also seemed a little unsafe.

Property is in a good location, clean and neat. Staff was courteous. Check-in was speedy with my reservation. Pricing was reasonable. Denny's is in the same parking lot. Freeway access is close by.

The back of this property is where our room was and the walking areas, mats and staircases were filthy. The staircase handrails were sticky and gross. We were pretty close to the Dennys trash bins.

After reading other negative reviews, I was relieved when we arrived, we were really dreading what we would find.
The lady at reception was brilliant, really friendly and informative. The room was modern and relatively clean, apart from the floor which was filty, even worse under the bed.
Noise from the other rooms was an issue during our stay but I think this is just part of staying in this kind of accomodation.
Beds were comfy, ice macine available, hot drinks in reception on a morning.
The hotel served its purpose as a stop off during a road trip

The check-in staff were incredibly friendly and the area around the motel was beautiful. It's raised up behind a Denny's which keeps it away from the road. Unfortunately there were still stray hairs in the bathroom/shower and in the sheets when we arrived, makes me question what was actually cleaned.

The stairway has a musty smell. Our room didn’t have toilet paper and they didn’t leave extra for us. Window was dirty. Will not stay there again and won’t recommend to anyone
