We stayed at the Bayshore Inn for two nights in the back building, in an upstairs room. The hotel is not what it claims online or in its pictures. It is more like an over-priced motel. - The rug was stained and dirty. I was willing to overlook the rug given all the hotels in Eureka are over priced and we booked last minute. - The jacuzzi had couple of human hair in it. - Breakfast was okay. Usual eggs, waffles etc. it lacked variety. - The icing on the cake was the fact that we had fleas in our room!!! I was bit in 10 different spots on my feet and lowers legs and my son 7 times. I was waking up with bites but didn't think much of it until on the day we were going to check out - we found more fleas and more bites. After checking out, I called the hotel to complain about the fleas (apparently they don't allow dogs in the back building but I saw a dog in the room across from us!). I was told by different people it was not something they could help me with, since I booked third party - hotels.com. I was also told by Tina that I probably got bit outdoors, even though I explained I wore shoes and socks the whole time I was out and I was bit on my feet, in the hotel bed. Also, the interior of the office building is deceptively nice compared to the hotel rooms! Don't be fooled! I would NOT recommend anyone stay here. Save your money and find an air*** or even camp! They clearly want to TAKE YOUR money but are UNWILLING to provide the SERVICE THAT YOU PAY FOR.

This hotel is outstanding. Wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to/through/near Eureka.

The staff was friendly and the accommodations were excellent.

Overall room,service and breakfast were great. The only negative is that the light/fan in the bath was extremely loud and the tub did not drain well and filled to some two inches during a quick shower.

Loved my spacious room in the Garden Suite area and many breakfast options! No notice that they were testing fire alarms one of the afternoons.

Restaurant behind hotel was great. Seamus TBones BBQ had large portions.

Everyonewas very pleasant and welcoming, and the breakfast was bountiful. From the photo, I was hoping for some ambience or at least a water feel, but got neither. It's not directly on the water, the pool is tiny, which is not a big deal but it's in the parking lot (with fences arounds so, again, not horrible but not great). Basically, it's a big horsehoe with most rooms overlooking the parking lot, although I suppose some in the back may have a water view. Not terrible, but not what we'd hoped for on the CA coast.

Unsafe area outside. A sense of safety once inside. Beautiful koi pond, trees & flowers. Comfortable bed. Parking area sketchy, with multiple individuals clearly under the influence of drugs cruising the parking lot. Room smelled like pet urine, stains on the carpet; management did not seem to care. No discount offered or an apology, over priced for the area & amenities.

My family got the room with the 3 beds. My children loved the idea that they did not have to share a bed and my husband loved having the separate room for relaxing at the end of the day. It gave us all a little more privacy. Great breakfast and the pool was very nice. If you love the koi pond ask for a Garden View room.

You, Expedia did not do a good job. IHptel had no idea about my change. had to wait for long time to check in.

Somehow our reservation got canceled and they had no more rooms. A couple who already had checked in had an issue with another occupant and decided to leave and we were able to get that room. But we had reserved a room with two queen beds and the room we got was a just a king bed for us three. Was a very uncomfortable night.

The room was very spacious and nice. My only problem with it at all was a bit of a moldy smell. But the bed was clean and comfortable and that's what matters, right?

Great place to stay with my family!

Stayed 4 days to explore the area. Overall the place is nice. Could use some freshening up, but given the area maybe that’s how it is. The area around the hotel is a little run down. I noticed a few homeless sleeping around the outskirts of the hotel. They have a nice heated pool. Our kids enjoyed it but be prepared. It’s freezing cold once you get out. The stay included breakfast and that was pretty good. They also have coffee and tea available all day. The room was ok. Just your basic room. Overall I would stay again. While driving around I noticed more or less all the hotels look the same. It’s just the area and you just expect it to be like that. I did notice a new hotel being built down the street. Maybe there will be more options in the future.

Absolutely excellent stay. The rooms were immaculately clean and the staff exceptionally nice and accommodating. Rooms were also extremely spacious. I'm now a best western plus traveler!

Okay for passing through for a night. We really liked how the whole family (parents and 2 teen kids) can have their own bed bc the place offers a room with 3 queen beds.

This was a great location with very competent staff. It's a well cared for hotel. No down side to really speak of.

We enjoyed our stay. There are a couple of people who deserve a special mention. The ladies who were taking care of the breakfast buffet. It was VERY busy and the worked very hard to keep everyone fed and the place clean. Thank you to Merced and Luz Elaina and the cooks.

I don’t recommend this hotel personally. It’s very overpriced for the condition it is. We got the room with hot tub 307/207 both of those rooms smelled horrible. We had to keep window open all the time bc it wasn’t possible to stay there. I think it’s smells very old carpet and in general everything very old. We stayed 3 nights and housekeeping didn’t come even once to take a trash and change towels which is weird. It’s not the service and quality you expect for 300$ a night they charge.

Very clean and very friendly staff

Even though we checked in during a power outage, the front desk was able to get us taken care of and checked in. My family really enjoyed the garden area and Bobby was extra kind to answer all our questions about the fish. It was a highlight of our stay in Eureka. The breakfasts were excellent and the beds were comfortable. It was a great place to stay.

The hotel was nice, rooms were large, pool was amazing.

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Very welcoming.

Very comfortable beds and the room was very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A quick trip to see our granddaughter for a few hours. The Mexican restaurant at the hotel was amazing. We had a great time and we got the rest we needed before driving home.

Property seems dated. Next to a mall area which creates a lot of traffic noise.
