Hotel was vreat and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our hotel room was fine. On the first morning we put the Do Not Disturb sign out but they came in our room anyways. They had a group of high school kids come in that were a bit noisy. But on the last day we packed up and then went to get breakfast. We hadn't checked out yet and had the Do Not Disturb sign up. The cleaners came in anyways, cocked the door open, and removed the bedding and towels to clean. They didn't remove all the towels only the ones used. When we cam back and our door was opened we were shocked. We were more shocked when we saw the blood stains and all on the mattress pad where we had been sleeping. It pretty much made us sick.

Not a great neighborhood, lobby is very nice, personnel helpful. No coffee or breakfast served. Room was spartan, bathroom was deplorable. Nice towels. Quiet. Easy walking to good restaurant. No fresh air, windows sealed. No outdoor access.

Originally planned to stay at a different hotel but found this gem while walking around the Riverwalk area. Not directly on Riverwalk but there is an entrance to the Riverwalk right across the street from the hotel. We had a room with a pool view. The pool is small but well kept. There was a lot of seating options around the pool that were very comfortable and all in great shape. The turf type grass in the pool area was great. The hotel bar/restaurant was fantastic! Did not get the young lady’s name working there but she was so sweet and outgoing and was on top of everything. We went for a few drinks and even though the place had quite a few guests in there, we never had to wait to get our drinks refreshed. She was amazing!! Room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of towels. Water pressure for shower was great. Price was very good for the area we were in. The hotel has its own parking garage attached to it but you can’t use it unless you’re valet parking. There was a public parking lot about a block away that was cheaper and worked great for us. We were there for State Marching Competition at the Alamodome and it was about a 5-7 minute drive from the hotel to the Alamodome. I would definitely stay at the River Plaza Hotel again and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent location, restaurant and a coffee shop on premises, comfortable bed, no city noise, pool, unique decor. There were drinks for purchase in the room including 2 small bottles of proseco in the fridge. We parked in the 5 min walk city parking for $10 a day. I recommend this hotel and would come back.

I had a bad experience on my way out that was a disappointing ending to an OK stay. I do not recommend this hotel.

This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The staff are incredible! Friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The rooms are clean and the bed was super comfortable. The valet parking was much appreciated. When I discovered I had left something in the care the valet went back to get it for me. Excellent hotel with great service!!!
