We really enjoyed our stay at Karel V. The hotel is beautiful and the location is simply excellent! A bit disappointing is the service in the brasserie and the breakfast area, the service is simply VERY slow! For the rest, our compliments!

Absolutely beautiful and charming hotel. It is elegant, extremely comfortable and well appointed. Centrally located with easy access to the historic center and sites. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Gorgeous restaurant and wonderful breakfast. I will be back!

This was a great place to relax for a few days before heading home. Lovely quaint hotel with everything that you need. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Easy access to walk to shopping and restaurants.
Found that most shops didn’t open till about 11:00 am and closed at 6:00 pm. So plan your shopping around those hours.

But unfortunately, I didn't sleep. Mattress too soft, too warm under the cover and too cold outside. Heard the neighbors at 5 am talking normally just behind the wall...

A beautiful hotel in a great area. A 5 minute walk to the old city center with shops and many dining options. Also great they offered parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel , very traditional. However rooms quite dated and not as clean as I would expect for the price. Dusty towel rails as an example and rooms not made up to a decent standard, curtains left half open for example.

I always enjoy staying at the Hotel Karel V; the location is wonderful (a short walk from the main train station and the city center), the grounds are quiet and attractive, and the rooms are large and very comfortable.

Excellent hotel, great location. Just a few minutes walk from the canals, restaurants and bars and shops. The room was lovely and the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was first class and Bistro also. We will definitely return.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the pool and sauna are fantastic, the gym is great with water and towels provided, and the breakfast is amazing!!! This truly is the only real 5 star hotel in Holland with 5 star service. The location is very central, easily walk to the shops at the mall, in the city or to the train station. The best place to stay.

Rooms outdated, not very clean, facilities (like the pool and sauna) very small and also totally outdated. Some positive points: decent breakfast with large selection (and homemade cakes) and friendly staff. Would not recommend this hotel, certainly not at the price that weve paid.
