We didn’t get in until after 9 pm. Check in was a breeze. A great breakfast was offered, but my husband elected to eat on the way.

The best part of the stay was how friendly the staff was at check in and check out. When we got to our room it smelled like mildew and was not cool even though the air was set to 71. It felt damp in there. The bathroom needs a whole makeover, it looks so outdated, the tile the toilet sits on is lower then the tile in the rest of the bathroom and is small. You can tell the walls in the room have had several coats of paint, paint doesnt hide when the hotel needs serious overhaul and updating. I was very happy with how pleasant the staff was at check in and check out.

I had a disappointing experience at the La Quinta in Pearl, MS! I won’t hold you - don’t stay here if you have pets! Despite this being my fourth stay at a La Quinta, this time I encountered a severe issue. The room we were assigned was infested with fleas. Within hours, my dog began scratching uncontrollably, and I found fleas on his belly.
When I reported the problem to the front desk, I was told that the hotel was fully booked the last few night and had not received similar complaints. They were unable to offer us a different room. Feeling unsafe, I had no choice but to leave at midnight and drive six hours back home.
Though the hotel has since acknowledged the flea problem, they have refused to issue a full refund. I’ve already spent over $100 on flea prevention and removal products. It’s clear that this hotel is not adhering to proper cleaning practices, especially for pet-friendly rooms. I strongly advise against staying here with a pet; the hotel’s lack of concern and inadequate response to the issue was very disappointing.

Overall this was an okay place to stay overnight. However, our room (201) had huge stains on the couch, making sitting on the couch not an option. I realize stains happens, but these were so large and obvious (like spills) that the cushions really need to be replaced or couch replaced. The rest of the hotel was clean, but definitely showing signs of age and areas that need to be fixed/deep cleaned.

We got to the hotel at 11 pm and was prepaid. Check in literally took less than 1 minute. There were no sheets for the sleeper and no hair dryer so I was going to give me t 4 stars but their friendliness attje front desk (3 different folks) and willingness to make it right led me to leave it at 5 stars. Rooms are
clean and comfortable and updated other than the tub. Breakfast had several options and was above average.

Basic value hotel in a very convenient location. Staff was very helpful, very friendly and accommodating - they called the day before our stay to confirm and helped with a room change due to additional traveler in our room. Basic breakfast and in room supplies. Slight musty smell in the room.

The man working the front desk was VERY rude when we came to check in. He almost didn’t let us check in because we had three animals no other LA Quinta has ever given us a problem. We paid one fee and that was that and we always leave the room immaculate. This guy was arguing with my husband after we had already made the reservation over the phone and told them we had three pets which they were in their cages and he didn’t want us to stay there, and charged us an extra $25 which no La Quinta has ever done on top of already the 25. When we got in the room, you could just tell it hadn’t been vacuumed and it did not smell clean and that happened to the one we stayed at in Texas as well. I had dropped a little bit of water on the couch so I went to wipe it down with a warm wet cloth and that cloth came up so filthy. I was shocked. I don’t think that couch had ever been cleaned and that was disgusting , we will never stay there again. We have stayed at La Quinta for years and have always been very happy but the experience we had on the road both La Quinta especially this one in Mississippi was so bad. We probably won’t stay at them anymore. I don’t understand why they can’t steam clean the couches once or twice a month? it’s not hard and they’re not that big. I have my own cleaning service and I know. Very disgusting and disappointing. :(
