Great staying Boston, perfect and close to everything - 4 family members seeing the town and fit comfortably with the 2 queen beds. Calvin at the front desk was great, and provided great service and recommendations. One thing to mention is $65 overnight parking with valet but that seemed the norm everywhere . Highly recommend!

The hotel was very clean and furnished with Herman Miller furnitures. Calvin, hotel manager, was fabulous. He welcomed us with a bottle of wine. He was attentive and greeted us daily. We went out of his way to make sure that we get to Martha’s Vineyard successfully. We have been to many places around the world, but the treatment we received was simply the best. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Calvin.

Calvin is the best host ever!! Loved the location and how friendly and accommodating the staff is we will come back to this hotel for sure in our next visit.

I forgot two jackets in the closet. Contacted the hotel next day after checking out. I Followed the intructions and I gave the information to the webside handeling the lost and found. The jackets were never returned to me. Very dissapointed on the honesty.

Very expensive hotel. Service could have been better for that price. Rooms are good. No view from 5th floor.

Service, location and cleanliness is great. Only real down is that you can hear service trucks, housekeeping and elevators very clearly. A bit more soundproofing in doors and windows would be ideal for any future upgrade the hotel makes. Overall very good stay. Everyone very friendly.

Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice stay. A great central location, too.

BED. BUGS. Photo proof provided. Medical documentation provided (after returning from the trip) Not only was a refund not provided, cleaning of luggage and clothing was not reimbursed. After contacting them multiple times we were told "no bed bugs were found". (Attempted to upload photos for review, hotels.com would not let me)

I would definitely stay again. The staff are so wonderful! They were so helpful with everything. The rooms could use a bathroom update. The beds were soooo comfortable and the pillows were perfect. It’s in such a great location and the bar on the 2nd floor has so much charm. They are still under construction in the lobby which was unfortunate that we couldn’t spend time in there. I’m sure it will be gorgeous when it’s finished.

I would stay here again. It was a nice place. We did not feel safe every time we left the hotel at night though. They were some pretty sketchy people hanging around.

The noise was unbelievable. Doors slamming all throughout the night and the walls are paper thin. The room itself doesn't look like it was put together very well. The bathroom counter top is barely holding on and wiggles when used. You can see where whoever painted the room did a horrible job and there's paint strewn across other areas. The bathroom tiles look like a toddler put them together and the sealant around the tub is a complete mess. This hotel should take pride in their establishment, but clearly does not.

Beautiful rooms with sophisticated furnishings, and thoughtful amenities. Staff is very helpful and professional. The food in the only restaurant onsite was marvelous. The restaurant was also very attractive and had a beautiful bar. On a different note, be mindful that the Car Valet service provided by the hotel ends at 11pm, so if you need your car late at night you will not be able to retrieve it and conversely, there will be no one to park it in a secure location overnight. I was told I could leave my car in the valet area, but that resulted in my car being “keyed” overnight, and am still waiting for LAZ Parking to answer my emails. There is a three block stretch just south of the hotel which can be a little dicey at night, but is very friendly by day. There are several universities in the surrounding areas. All in all I would recommend this hotel for its attractiveness, cleanliness and staff professionalism.

We LOVED Hotel AKA Boston Common! We've never had finer customer service, and we travel fairly often. We were there for our 10 year anniversary and Calvin Cherry, the Assistant Front Office Manager, made our stay so special! He gave us champagne to celebrate and asked after us every day when we would come down to explore the city. He gave excellent recommendations for restaurants around the city as well. The room was clean and the maid service was top notch! Thank you, Hotel AKA, for a wonderful first trip to Boston!

For nearly $700 a hotel should y be under major renovations. Workmen everywhere; down to 1 elevator for a 20-story hotel ??

Major construction was going on and I was not notified when I booked a nonrefundable room. I have been using hotel.com for some time. But this is the last because I could not reach anyone to help me. The virtual assistant was terrible.

Great hotel and staff! Not your typical hotel as far as the halls and room set up go. Can’t say enough good things about this place!!

The hotel is in complete remodeling

Great location! Near Boston Common and only a couple of blocks from Fanieul Hall and the Waterfront. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable. We utilized the restaurant for breakfast- food was delicious and our server was friendly and helpful. Don’t let some construction near the elevator on the first floor put you off- this was an excellent place to stay! We will come back when in Boston!

Best part was the free glass of wine in the afternoon. Also the room was very clean and we had the best view.

I truly appreciated finding an Eames Chair (replicate, but still) in the lounge area of the hotel.
