The view is nice even the decor for hotel is nice. Just some old outdated smell inside the room that unpleasant. In the beds is only have thin comforter. The thick blankets inside cabinet we just find it in the morning by the time we’re leaving. So we have to turn in the gas fireplace at night to keep us not freeze. My daughter felt like out of air in the room because the gas fire place. For adventure the room is nice overlooking the beautiful lake. For comfort need to get rid of the old smell don’t know how. I feel my clothing smell that way too when I got home. But the check in guy is very helpful giving us map and where interesting thing to go. TV is not working but there’s lots to see rather than watching TV.

This was the most uncomfortable room i have stayed. The hotel was not handicap accessible. The only seating was on barstool style chairs at a table that the relacement tv was propped up on. I requested additional towels and wash cloths(2 of each) but not enough was available. The room made you feel uncomfortable that you did not want to be in it.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean. TV and internet did their thing. The bathroom was clean and the shower had plenty of strong hot water. The surrounding area was safe and quiet and walkable. I would stay here again.

Great location! Very nice rooms
3.7
Had to ask twice to get toilet paper, finally got some 4 hours after we checked in. The bed had an old worn out spring mattress where you could feel each and every spring you were on.

Nora was amazing and check us in smoothly! You get what you paid for so don’t be afraid to adapt. Location is wonderful, near downtown and local stores. We were surprised room did not have AC but the weather was perfect and the fan inside was more than enough.
3.7
We liked the view of the lake. We spent a lot of our time on the balcony sitting and appreciating the nature day, night and early morning. It was neat to have a birds nest close by also. We will come back again.👍

The room smell like urine. It was the worst experience I've ever had and they don't do refunds and refused to switch my room. I stayed in my car mostly. I went there to clear my mind and relax and it was so horrible, I'll never go back. Do not recommend.
3.7
Cozy and quiet like front property. It’s clean and well-kept inside (at least the king bed Kitchen unit we were in). Nice and accommodating staff. Overall great experience!

I’ve been staying in big bear lake for literally years since I was a kid. This is the worst experience me and my wife have had. The first time my wife used the bathroom she supposedly used “too much toilet paper” and caused the toilet to not work, and this was the first day. We asked for a toilet plunger and the most edgiest guy came into our room to say “we have no idea where it is”. And even told us to put our hands in there to take out the paper. My wife and I had to drive to the nearest hotel lobby just to use their restroom in middle of the night and morning. This is a horrible hotel experience and I even heard other guest complaining as soon as I checked in. Please save yourself the stress and time and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT. I spent $123 to not have a restroom the entire time, which is illegal for a hotel in CA and yet no one seemed to care.

place looked like it had not been cleaned in months. the walls are filthy the baseboards had hair all over them. place smelled like an old carnival bathroom
3.7
The hotel was next to the lake and driving distance to the shops & dining. The only thing is that you can hear the people walking around upstairs from the room. But if you can overcome that its overall good. Definitely coming back here again.
3.7
Noisy (plumbing inferno) and dirty place. We had a rat eating a banana left on the kitchen table. Some pillow were smelling vomit!
3.7
Our stay was very peaceful. Our room was clean and had a nice view of the garden
3.7
Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. My fiancee and I were in such pain and could not sleep both nights. We left at 6am because we were miserable and hurting even though we had plans that day.
3.7
The room was dirty, it was not cleaned when we got there. Dirty bathroom, bed, full trash can and pizza boxes. Remote was not working and could not turn on the tv. Hair dryer did not work. They had free breakfast but no cups, bowls nor coffee creamer. And no hot water in the bathroom sink. Horrible experience!!
3.7
The service from the staff was excellent from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff that came in to help clean my shower after I called the office. Ask for the room it was filthy. My shower had brownish foamy soap scum all over the bottom of the shower and clumps of black hair. I found pretzels, chips and my dog found a Ken Barbie doll and a bottle of super glue in the room. After the housekeeping came up to clean my bathroom there was some water on the floor so I took one of the towels to wipe it up and the cloth came up filthy black. I don't feel that this room was cleaned at all prior to me coming into it

The 2 bedroom family suite was good, had everything you need in working condition, our stay was pleasant, the private lake access and hang out area was a plus, very accommodating and no issue other then the sofa bed not working correctly and too much grass and tree debris on the lake making it hard to swim out by the dock!
Still enjoyed our time.

We had a great time @BigBearLakeFrontLodge the property is gorgeous with great views . The staff made it even better. I feel like Louie & Nora are my family now they made us feel so at home . We will be back soon thank you

TV didn't work, no coffee maker in room, very uncomfortable bed and dirty blankets on bed, non existed breakfast, dirty tub/spa dirty floors, broken refrigerator shelves but nice view from balcony and beach was nice, and close to town
3.7
Very family friendly
3.7
Room was dirty pee on the toilet lid hair on the bed property run down we did not stay we left and got another hotel
3.7
The service and location was great. It was great having a little kitchen, walking distance to the village and our own lake front. But the towels were old and there was no AC. The biggest bummer was that we didn’t have a remote for the Roku. We tried to download the app but it wouldn’t pair. But we appreciated the flexibility of the staff and the fact that it was pet friendly.
3.7
Great view . Nice location. No wifi and no tv working my entire stay.
3.7
Our tv was not working. We did not have warm water for showers. Only cold water.
3.7
I loved that it had its own beach. The room was nice. Not having AC is not great in the summer. Our room was borderline too hot.
3.7
Very very dirty Screen kept falling off track. Floors were filthy .
3.7
I had a descent stay here. The private beach part is just small. I had connectivity issues with the Wi-Fi and was unable to connect to a Zoom meeting. I expected a nice, clean place but I was a bit disappointed. The breakfast consist of coffee and two different cold cereals. They didn’t have coffee cups because delivery was running late. I guess I got what I paid for.
3.7
The location and fact that this property is indeed lake front was really great. Its about a half mile from the marina and downtown village area. You can fish on their dock or swim in the small beach area. We also saw a family that took inflatable row boats and paddle boards. The staff were all very nice and helpful.
Unfortunately the cleanliness was a deal breaker for us and the reason we wouldn't return or recommend this place to family or friends. The room we rented had a kitchen that looked ice but had signs of a mouse problem along with a mouse trap. No evidence of roaches. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the sheets and towels were stained. Some had a bad smell. And there were a couple of webs on the ceiling light. Also, no AC, but there were 2 fans in the room. The breakfast is just cereal, coffee, packaged breakfast items like pop tarts, and fruit.
3.7
Wifi kept buffering, people were bbqing not sure if all were guest but parking was limited. Empty parking Spaces should be marked for hotel guests only. The rooms were some what clean, i would stay again balcony view of lake was beautiful
3.7
It was awesome. My family and my brothers family stayed and got to watch the fireworks on the private lakefront
3.7
We utilized the playground in the garden area and played some basketball by the lake. It was a nice place to stay for my family and we hope to come back and stay again!

I like everything

Our host was amazing from the moment we checked in until we left. We were a little high maintenance (ran out of TP, towels, the heater was running in summer, etc.), and the fella in the front office fixed EVERYTHING for us with such kindness and hospitable manner. We didnt deserve his care! We also had a perfect front row seat for the 4th of July fireworks... from our balcony! It was a wonderful stay, highly recommend for a trouble-free, easy, and friendly stay in gorgeous Big Bear!
3.7
Overall, we had a nice stay. The rooms do not have air conditioning, which was unpleasant during the heat wave up there over the 4th of July holiday. We also had to fix the shower handle that controls the temperature because the water was only hot until we figured out what was wrong. It was nice having a private beach area for playing and viewing fireworks and when we stayed, we didn't have any loud or rude neighbors. Parking spots were minimal but it could be because guests that weren't actually staying there came to visit friends or family for the fireworks. The room was clean but the floors were dingy and left our feet black so they could use better cleaning.
Overall not bad, but could use some upgrades as far as A/C goes and the room itself. Another thing I would add is that here on hotels.com it states that they are a pet friendly property which is why I booked this property, however when you check in the paper you sign states they are not and the welcome email you received states they are not, so that should definitely be cleared up but the front desk staff was understanding and accommodated my dog and I saw other dogs there as well.
3.7
The property has a gorgeous view of the lake with easy entry into the lake except for a little grass .nice dock out in front great view of fireworks -only problem we had was the TV is tiny, and the remote did not work to change channels. Would return again!
3.7
Room flooring is dirty. Needs deep cleaning.
3.7
Great customer service from the first day until the end with all our requests. The property needs some upgrades, but other than that everything was convenient, restaurants, shops and all the fun activities. We really enjoyed our stay and hoping to come back soon. Thank you!
3.7
The room was not impressive, very outdated in comparison to some of the other lodges in big bear. The “breakfast” they offered was super simple, cereal, milk, yogurt and coffee, we didn’t have any. The best part of the stay was the lake view, beautiful all day long, it definitely made up for all their downfalls. For the price, I think it was good value. If you do decide to stay here, take my word and pay for the lake view rooms, it’s worth it.
3.7
It's quiet and great for children to rest and play.
