My stay at this hotel was quite frustrating. They charged for everything, including early check-in and late checkout, which felt excessive. The room was very small with barely enough space to move around, and the bathroom was poorly designed—water from the shower flooded the floor. The towels were thin and uncomfortable, far below standard for a hotel at this price point. Overall, the experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re okay with paying extra for basic amenities.

Location is very good which is close to AMS central Station. There are eating and shopping places. Close to bus stops. The first night stayed of the room was fine. We checked out and returned one day later for another two nights. The bath room door was unable to close and water was coming out from the shower area. The room was just good for two ppl which is the standard in Europe I think. Breakfast was good.

Charging extra for late checkout was a big negative

The location was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The room was small, was not cleaned sufficiently during our three night stay. The shower stall was very small, had mildew and water leaked through the door, wetting the floor.

Great location, staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast ok. Our room was for 5 of us, 2 adults , 3 kids, it was a bit more like a youth hostel room than a hotel costing £350 per night. No wardrobe or drawers for clothes, bathroom tiny with 2 shower cubicles like a gym changing room! It was fine for 2 nights but not for longer

A no-frills hotel in a very good location. The check-in and check-out process was straightforward and staff at reception were generally friendly and helpful. However, the bathroom in my hotel room had quite a substantial patch of mould in the corner, which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while. When I reported this to the reception at check-out, I didn't even receive an apology about the cleanliness of the bathroom.

The staff were very helpful and provided good services. The single room was clean and more spacious than I expected it to be. The shower was excellent. However, they need to change the placement of the sink. The storage unit it is placed in makes the sink much too high off the ground to be used comfortably by an average size woman like me! It was VERY uncomfortable and difficult to use. The coffee provided in the room and in the breakfast room was terrible. The breakfast buffet was okay but not worth 15 Euros!

Staff is very helpful ad service minded, and we liked them very much. But we didn't like the breakfast it was very boring and had very few options, and the room was never cleaned properly during our stay. And the beds were not good. Shower needs to be repaired.

Can walk here from Central Station. Canal cruises very close by and lots of dining options.

I booked this hotel based on the photos I saw on the website. However, the room we received was in the basement and I had to close all the curtains because I didn't want people from the street look at us. The stuff was not able to help.

Descent place to stay. Very close to train station. Staff could have been more caring. They seemed to not really care much about our room not being ready on time.

Considerable mold in bathroom, tattered towels, bedside light not working, hand towel ring keeps falling out of wall, usb port not working, smells very sweaty

A very nice small hotel minutes from the central train station and most major attractions of the city. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Various conveniences are located on the same block.

I had reservations for two different rooms over a period of three nights (the first room for the initial two nights and a second room for the third night). Unfortunately, I fell ill during my stay and required additional time in the room to rest. The second room I booked was intended for one person but featured a double bed (similar to the first room, which was booked for two people). When it was time to switch rooms, despite informing the staff of my illness and my willingness to pay for a late check-out, I was repeatedly disturbed by knocks on my door and phone calls to my room. I was placed in a single bedroom, contrary to my booking for a double bed. Notably, the first room I occupied was vacant on my third night, meaning they could have allowed me to remain there and rest. This experience was profoundly disappointing and fell far short of acceptable customer service standards. I will not be returning to Hotel Avenue.

Very good location

Not 5 star but then we were not paying 5 star prices. Ideal for we needed... somewhere to sleep... shame cleaners were so noisey early morning. Shower missing a door so bathroom more like a wet room bit aside that perfect for what we were after.

Hotel is very dirty and smells. Daily leaning of floor didn’t happened. Bathroom always smell of sewerage. Over price.

Would definitely stay here again. Amazing location for walking in central Amsterdam and for getting to the train.

The hotel is very accessible to transportation, it’s only a 7-minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal. It is also very near the Red Light district and you can have a lot of options on bars, cafes, and restaurants. I was expecting it to be so noisy but the noise is bearable. It is a very nice hotel and considering its location, you get more Han what you paid for.

Room was not upto standards especially for the price we paid, I would not return room was so noisy you would hear a pin drop from next door, then we moved to another room which was terrible, smaller bathroom the shower head was spraying every direction it was shocking half a curtain and half shower door the water went everywhere & I was eating alive 2/3 from that room.

Pictures of the rooms are not accurate, but overall stay was ok.

Great location for transport links. Large room - not fancy but clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
