Bare minimum service in an atrocious area

This site was obviously understaffed. The model is set up to minimize staff, but it doesn't work in practice. The dining room staff were called upon to assist check ins. The dining room was understaffed. The staff made a mistake, which I understand. Mistakes happen, particularly when the staffing model inappropriately stretches them. But, we had to ask the staff for information instead of them communicating more directly with us. The result was that we felt like a pain in order to simply get a hot meal over two hours after ordering it. This advertised two dining rooms and that was not true. The parking was horrendous and there didn't seem to be a plan. We would have liked to use the pool and sauna, but the dining debacle took that opportunity from us. It's evident that this is a "start up" and that ownership/management believe that they can get by on minimal staffing. Start ups typically require a heavier leverl of staffing to deal with the inevitable issues. I did communicate our issue to management. I had to ask directly for a response and, now, am waiting for the general manager to get back from vacation. If you go, find another place to eat and park until they get their systems in place.

Lovely stay in a beautiful and calm environment We enjoyed it !

The digital check in procedure was very unwelcoming. They are just trying to save money by having the guests do everything. Not happy with the way things are going regarding lack of customer service these days.

The room they put me in is HORRENDOUS. I am six foot 1 and can barely get around this room constructed for smurfs. Seriously, people have closets in their houses that are more comfortable.

Clean, convenient, and spacious place to lay our heads while travelling from the fjords back to Oslo. I’m sure it’s even more fun during ski season!

Stayed at one of the 1 bedrooms apartment. It was very nice, spacious. Great views. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hotel is walking distance to cafes, stores, groceries. The only negative thing was the weak internet connection in the apartment.

A nice hotel in Geilo with a good breakfast. Perfect for a break on the long drive to Bergen.

Noisy with construction right in your face from 6am-8pm. Horrible beds and the hotel condition is deteriorating. So sad to experience that when it had been our favorable stay every autumn for the three past years.

The hotel is ok, hotel/rooms are a little out dated. Dining area looks nice, pizza and bread/pastries from the bakery are good.

The room where nothing like the pictures and the standard was not near how they profile online. The bed was not properly made and there was dust and dirt on the furniture- even in this Corona time. With no AC in the room, a window that could only be opened 5 cm and the main road right outside made the heat in the room unbearable. This is an old and run-down hotel, where a coat of painting doesn’t make it a 4-star hotel.

Our stay was allright. Quick and lean check in, despite corona restrictions. Staff a little undermanned during breakfast hours, anticipating this to be same corona impact. Room was clean, same with bath and pool area. So nice and refreshing to have a morning swim, not overcrowded at all. Quite small sized room, but ok given we had the standard double room booked. I can recommend the pizza from the a la carte. Splendid.

Extremely poor hospitality here. If you want to be treated like trash, book here! I booked a appartment in August, when we arrived in January the first thing we heard at the desk was that our room was double booked. Kind of suprising since I booked in AUGUST. they offered us a much cheaper room which I didn’t accept. They found another one including a kitchen and 2 bedrooms, but still not what we booked. We booked a 2 bedroom appartment with TWO beds for TWO persons, and all we got was one bedroom with double bed and one bunkbed. The bunkbed was rubbish, fell out of the bed every night. I requested a refund for this, told me they had to contact Expedia. They promised us to keep track of it with updates, never heard anything back. E-mailed them, they just ignore you.
