This is the place to be, we been coming to visit Carmel for 10 years. We always stayed at the Marriot in Monterey.
We decided to stay in Carmel this time and the experience was wonderful, beacuse we didn’t need to drive from Monterey.
I’m very pleased with Coachman Inn, because:
The best fresh breakfast with real eggs (not from the box) is really nice.
At 4:00pm they have home made cookies and at 4:30pm wine and a cheese plater social for free.
Free parking is so convenient, and fast.
They are shops and restaurants cross the street, is 1 minute walk to the main street Ocean Av. You can also walk to the beach.
I love it and I will be back. We got the Deluxe suite that has extra space if you need to acomode a 3rd child.

Lovely room and very nice to have cheese and wine at 5.30pm. Excellent breakfast. A fire in our room was a welcome addition and the facilities were very comfortable. Only issue was that the floorboards above creaked a lot so we were disturbed by people moving around upstairs. Room 205 is next to the laundry and service area so it’s quite noisily early in the morning until later in the evening. Not the best room but all very comfortable.

Great location and friendly staff. The breakfast and happy hour were very nice. Parking was difficult at times coming and going. And the walls are very thin. You can hear your neighbors talking in their room and the stepping around above us was very loud.

What a great experience. Very comfortable hotel. Fireplace was extra cozy. Breakfast is beyond any complimentary breakfast we've experienced. Good way to meet others staying at the Coachman. Parking is tight but parking on the street is not an issue. We didn't need to do this but did inquire. Centrally located in Carmel. Fine dining surrounds the hotel but we also found local deli's to grab sandwiches for road trips.

Even from checking into the hotel all the staff was super friendly and helpful and gave restaurant recommendations.The room was amazing and clean and the linens on the bed were soft and comfortable. The only drawback from the room is that there was minimal air circulation and when we first entered the room we needed to open the windows for a couple hours to air out the room. There was a standing fan that was provided and it helped a lot. We were also able to take advantage of the hot tub and sauna which was gated and private with only one guest in at a time. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time and it was the highlight of our mini-vacation. I would highly recommend anyone looking to have a convenient and high class accommodations in the middle of Carmel town center to stay at the Coachman's Inn.

Good location in town. They have some parking on property and also on street. Close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast is home made and different every day. They also have “wine hour” in late afternoons with some snacks.

we were so looking forward to our stay at Coachmans Inn and on first appearances everything seemed wonderful - until we were given our room The room itself was exactly as described but the room 104 had next to no natural daylight at all
We asked at reception for another room and were told to turn on the overhead light - no other rooms they were fully booked!! We're not sure this was true!
I was so upset with the room I actually cried!
Just 3ft from the front door was a full height stone wall and the view from the window was of the wall and railings, again fully height, that surrounded the hot tub.
The room itself was immaculately clean and the breakfast was very pleasant - so sad that the stay felt like we were in a dungeon

This hotel was great, got to reception to find they had been given the wrong booking details…1 bed instead of 2 beds.
There was no fuss or bother and got us a 2 beds room straight away.
Afternoon cheese and wine happy hour was a nice treat and the fridge full of soft drinks for free.

The Coachman Inn is a hidden gem in Carmel. The gourmet breakfast was excellent, hot cookies in afternoon and happy hour with a beautiful spread of snacks. Great location. Can not wait to return.

My childhood friend and I had a fabulous girls’ birthday week in Carmel. The guest services staff was friendly and very helpful! We were delighted with the close proximity to town—so easy to walk everywhere. The morning breakfast was always very good and ample to get us going on our day, and the happy hour wine and snacks was absolutely perfect. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The only problem at all was the garbage truck picking up across the street from our room every single morning at about 7:00. We didn’t need to set an alarm!
