After more than 30 years of traveling, we never complain, but this was horrible. The room wasn't close to clean, there were aunts and spiders everywere, the electronics did not work, the cupboard door fell of, the room key stopped working all the time and worst of all; the service was by far the worst we have experienced in every aspects. We were met by unfriendliness, moaning, information that they were understaffed and all the time promises that wasnt kept. The cleaning stations in the restaurant is placed in the middle, so it is so noicy you have to scream to hear each other. They cleared the table every time we went to supply some addition to our breakfast, the staff is very stressed and in general unfriendly. We had planned to stay for 16 days, but after 13 days we purchased new flight tickets and went home earlier than planned. The standard of this hotel, is in our opinion very far from 4 star in our experiences traveling world wide. In additon the service level is bottom point, so until the hotel and staff have solved this, we recomend to try another hotel in Maspalomas/Playa del Ingles.

I liked the good location near the beach and seaside. Excellent location to start for cycling. The suite was spacious. We had a problem with a leakage from the tap bath, however the staff were very good in sorting this out. Food was great.. plenty of food variety, also good fresh fish every night was on the menu! Thank you

Las habitaciones e instalaciones del hotel están muy bien. Habitaciones muy amplias, con saloncito y limpias. Como punto de mejoría, solo destacaría la calidad y variedad del buffet. Los desayunos quizás cuentan con más variedad, pero las cenas no estaban al nivel de un gran hotel como este.Aún así, disfrutamos mucho de la estancia.

This time, upon checking in at the reception, we received an improvement in booking from half board to all-inclusive. Heated pools.Only one minus - in the bungalow there was no heating.The air conditioning system did not give heat. It was not critical, but sometimes in the evening there was not enough heat.

We liked the little touches such as the decorations and drinks for Valentines Day and courtesy bus for the beach. This is pretty much the perfect place to stay for young families. The hotel is also easy to find from the airport and is ideally situated next to the GC1 and as such is an ideal base to explore Gran Canaria although there isn't a great deal to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - just the Dunes and a local shopping centre.

We have been all my family on vacation. The hotel and the staff are nice. For me the best is the big garden and the rooms inside the garden.

My only critical feedback is that our suite was in need of some routine maintenance which would have further enhanced our visit and increased my rating of the facilities. That said, we were upgraded free of charge to a larger suite due to resort occupancy and were very grateful for the hard work of all the staff. Our stay at the resort was excellent value for money.

Every thing kept clean and tidy. Entertainment not the best but great if your under 12 years old Food ok as expected from all inclusive with a good choice Wifi not the best kept losing single but ok in certain areas Staff all worked very hard and were all ways helpful and friendly, all in all a great place which is why this was our second visit to this complex

We were amazed at how fab this hotel was! We just returned from 7days with our 16month old. The suites are private and you have a little Terrence and stretch of garden to play in. The pool is big and heater which was great for the baby! There was always free sunbeds. You are a 15min walk from a silky Sandy beach, or a quick shuttle ride. There's great resteraunts by the sea too! The food at Dunas has a different theme every day (Italian, Chinese, Spanish, international, Canarian, Mexican) it is plentiful and there is lots of choice maybe 10 possible mains. The salads were incredible and changed everyday! Breakfast too had lots of choice. The staff there are so helpful always saying hello and playing with our little one! She loved Juan Antonio the porter and Fran in the restaurant were so kind to her! The place is very clean. The entertainment team are fun and not pushy at all. We didn't go to the disco but it sounded great! There is an on site supermarket and little cafe that's great for lunch. We really enjoyed the cocktails pre dinner at Taste bar! Our little one loved the playground which is one big sand pit! She was too young for the mini club but went every morning to colour in! Everyone is so friendly we are considering going back next Easter it was that good! When daughter is older she will love it as there is lots to do for the children! I'd say the guests are mostly German/French very little English which we liked! Thank you dunas for a great stay!

Beautiful, warm pools. Lovely gardens. Immense animation team. Very friendly staff. All in all a wonderful stay for our family of 4 :)

Asked for cot but was ignored. Buffet in 1070s style grotto with food lacking authenicoty and quality and awful lack of vegetarian choice. Clckroaches dlyinf i to eoom theoufh ventilation and instead of moving us they just apraued thw room with toxic spray without consideration of me staying with pregnant wife and toddlers. Claimed they had no space even in their other hotels which was not true. Subsequently moved us to a other hotel with the suite in that having a dangerously open staircase.

Had really nice time with kids. good place to go with the family.

After reading previous reviews we were slightly unsure but it was nothing like they said. Staff we very friendly and helpful. We asked to change rooms as it was close to the kids pool and they were very unstanding, we'd come away without our children and didn't want the noise! Our room was lovely, clean, spacious and had a nice little terrace to enjoy a drink on. The food was fantastic, something to enjoy at every meal time. Only problem on the Saturday night was the que! We waited for it to die down but it was mental! Overall the hotel and our weekend away was amazing and very relaxing. We recommend this hotel and we can't wait to book again.

Overall very good although we were charged twice for use of a safe having initially paid for it and then additionally having it charged to our room after they verbally assured us that this would not happen. We should have insisted on a separate receipt when we paid for it on day one but we trusted them to get it right. They didn't.

Dunas Suites Maspalomas is a fantastic resort to stay at for a holiday, but if youre here, as I was, for a mixture of work and down-time there were a few frustrating (money raising!) issues that in 2014 shouldnt be happening in a quality resort like Dunas - No ironing boards to do your own ironing (you can borrow an iron, but no boards) however there was an in-house laundry service! WiFi is a small € fee per day but you can only connect to one device at a time - I had an iPad, iPhone and a laptop and wasnt going to buy 3 codes! Plus the login system Dunas use didnt allow my Apple devices to remember the login codes, so every time my iPhone or iPad went into power save (ie every 5 minutes of non-use) I had to re-enter the long non-user friendly codes. Finally, no kettle in the room but you could purchase a drink from the pool bar if you werent on all-inclusive. That said the food / restaurants were excellent, staff very friendly, amenities excellent and very well maintained. I know Ill be returning so brought membership to their Dunas Rewards Club (a small one-off € fee) and would not hesitate to recommend the resort to my friends or family for their next stay.
