The stay was amazing, the room was very nice and comfortable and the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a hotel

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, but the hotel itself and rooms are very dated and is in need of several upgrades and repairs. I didn’t match the “Hampton” footprint, and what I expected from a Hampton property.

Clean hotel, staff was friendly, helpful with giving us a little extra time, it was only an hour but it helped, when we had a family medical emergency on site.

We've been staying here for years. I couldn't believe this was the same place.
The housekeeping of main areas and the room was lacking. Many stains on the walls and the carpets.
The breakfast was disappointing. The food was barely cooked. The potatoes were hard and the sausage looked raw.
Will most likely try a different hotel next time.

Great amenities. Great selection of breakfast, however, fruit juices could still be arranged even though the juice machine was broken. Courteous staff. Pool and gym are well maintained. Furniture in rooms is very old and chipped. Having a wash basin outside the washroom is inconvenient. Overall, good 👍

this would have rated a 5 star from us but on arrival the whole front of the hotel was blocked off due to construction. No signage was put up to direct guests to enter or sign in.
The staff were friendly and rooms were clean, breakfast was very good.
Just a little heads up would have been good.

The room was a great size for our family. I did not like that the shower and toilet was separate from the sink and mirror area. Made it difficult to get ready before the kids woke up in the morning because the sink and mirrors area was right next to the beds the kids were sleeping in.
Also being woken up on a Sunday at 7 am with construction outside our window of the hotel’s interlock was not very pleasant.

We stayed for one night with our 8 month old daughter and the stay was so lovely. The check in was smooth and staff was so nice and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the pool and hot tub was great as well! Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean with large spacious rooms. Wonderful amenities and excellent location. Lots of secure parking and wonderful staff. My favourite hotel in the Gatineau area.

AVOID this hotel- What a rip off of a place. Here is what you need to know:

- Staff are very friendly
- Included breakfast, tastes great

- NOISE, good god! I have never been to a hotel where you can literally hear the entire room next to you crystal clear. So bad! And the staff are aware of it.
- Lots of plumbing issues. Low pressure. Loose sink faucets. Sink doesn’t drain. Drain plug has mold and gunk caked on it.
- Ceiling in washroom also had patched hole without paint.
Worst hotel I have stayed at in Barrie - which is a freaking shame since its so expensive to stay at nowadays!

After arriving and settling in on Saturday July 6th around 9:30 p.m. there was a baseball tournament and some of the player were staying at the Hampton. For some reason these kids were running up and down the hallway make a lot of noise yelling and stomping around. Very unsettling when you are trying to sleep.
On the plus side on Sunday July 7th we reported a loose toilet seat in our suite and they repaired that promptly and also remade our room up. It was nice to come back to a nice clean room!!

Good point: room is very spacious, bed comfortable, breakfast included.
Bad point: furniture is relatively old, one friend in another room fell off a chair because it only had 2 of 4 bolts attached, and problem was negated till the last day

The vehicles with flat tires are a giveaway that you are in the slum area. No elevator. Missing hair dryer. Broken toilet seat. Strange musty smell. Peeling wallpaper
