Great location. Excellent rooftop bar, where guests actually hang out, making it easy to meet people. The large dorm is actually good size, and lockers are big. Although storage lockers before or after checkout are not free. Lobby is good place to hangout as well, and more fancy than most hostels.

Hostel type hotel with great views from the terrace...can be noisy at night...but close to everything

It was uniquely quirky in a pleasing way. I think as they fine tune their 'product' they may provide a drinking cup or glass, and managing the water runout from the shower stall can be an unexpected surprise the first time - I was lucky that I needed to exit briefly mid-shower to stop my iPhone alarm, and had an opportunity to see the waterworks that I was in the process of creating. No problem, staff anticipated this with an extra large towel folded. Several times on the floor outside the shower! Clean up only took 5 minutes. Didn't happen a second time. The A/C works great, and is super quiet. I only stayed one night by design. Can hear voices in street outside my first floor window even past 02:30 Sunday. I think this reflects the very lively atmosphere of this Monastiraki area. No problem ,especially considering that I appreciate the first floor unit with my 32 Kg luggage and one night to allow me low stress transition from Piraeus ferry to Athens International Airport. Hotel is a five minute walk from Moniastiraki Metro Station, which provides single Metro line transfers to either Piraeus or the Airport. No stress!

It is a very funcional hostal, so in athens that is perfect.After one drink and dinner on the roof terrace i never went back, that is a place for silence and quiet talking together. I found there very loud horrible músic instead. I went to the Indian roof terrace where the view is the same and the tranquility fantastic!!

A very simple (hostel) experience. Somewhat noisy. Very convenient to the city. Great rooftop bar.

When booking my invitation I was ordering for two single rooms, but when got to the place it was turned out to be two beds in a shared room with 8 people!! The stuff was helpful with arranging a solution. I usually book my reservations the same way, but this time it was I think a bit misleading. I was asked to pay additional 120 € per person.

I stayed in a private room; my building was quiet but every night I could hear people outside on the street past 2-3 am. Luckily, I was so tired I slept through it most nights but if you're a light sleeper I would not recommend. The staff was helpful and kind whenever I had questions. Rooftop terrace is wonderful! Nice coffee and cocktails.

As an hostel, a wonderful place & few meters away from Lively Monastiraki, The hostel by itself was clean and comfortable, though, the alleyway had late night disturbances (can attribute it to weekend?) Marianna, from the reception was very helpful.

hotels.com advertise it as a 3-star hotel so it can be disappointing, based on that expectation.Our stay was good value for money though :)The highlight of AthenStyle hostel is the rooftop bar. A great view during breakfast or enjoying a drink watching the sun go down.

The staff were fantastic. Especially the day shift worker from 24 to 26 October. The breakfast could be improved by adding soy milk - I can’t have dairy so the breakfast was bad value for me.

The hotel portion of the hostel was ok. We were on the 4 th floor- there are no elevators tho the staff did carry our bags up. There was NOT a fridge in the room. I thought w a deluxe double room it meant there would b a larger bed or maybe 2 beds, but it was a single double bed - not sure how they came up w the ‘deluxe double’ title . For what it was, it was way overpriced fir the area. The only thing nice was the breakfast and view from the rooftop as we ate our breakfast. I would not recommend this as a place to stay in Athens .

The hotel is very clean and the room that we stayed in was very cute. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The rooftop bar is wonderful with a great view. However, it was very noisy all night!

Nothing special excel excellent location close to shop attractions, communication with airport, safe, good views from the terrace to the acropolis. The room is very small, but enough if you are not planning to stay there

It is 5 min walk to Monastiraki metro station. So convenient to go airport. The location is also very near to major landmarks and shopping area... lots of dining choices around... best value...

Hotel in great location, right in the centre and great spot to do a walking tour of Athens. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to have a table and chair in the room which only had bunk beds and no where to sit or lean on.

Location, location, location, and did I mention location? Everything from transportation to any kind of food and entertainment is at your feet. The next item is safety. It is a very safe neighborhood and you can walk out the door and around without anyone at all bothering you. This is true at 4:00 PM and 4:00 AM. The rooms are not the latest in technology or comfort but in a price/ convenience-value, you cannot beat what this little hotel has to offer.

The rooftop bar had a great view but the bartender was rude. Location was perfect! It is very close to the metro and nightlife. The floor in the room could have been cleaner.

Athenstyle is an inexpensive hostel-style facility that caters to mostly young people from all over the planet. Beautiful, close-up view of the Acropolis from roof-top terrace (w/bar & bfast or just hanging out. Our room had similar view (ask for it at desk). Our room also had a kitchenette. If youre like my family, youre on the go all day and just need a clean place to crash...this is it. All must-see sights are within walking distance, and the Plaka old-town experience begins as soon as you step outside. I would stay here again.

This is a hostel - not elegant in any way, but location is fantastic, staff is very friendly and helpful.Unless you plan to stay in your room instead of exploring, this is perfect, economical choice.Roof top bar overlooks the acropolis- beautiful!

Friendly staff!! Helpful and easy to speak with. I wish we had read more reviews and known this was a hostel. Should say this in the hotel description. That aside, convent area. It isn't a quiet place if you want to go to sleep before midnight and on weekends there is partying until the early hours of the morning. Overall a good stay, but next time we will search for another place and leave this boutique hostel to the younger people.

This is a hostel. Great location, rooftop with views, private rooms, but still - a hostel. Amenities are bare minimum, room was oddly shaped and could have used better beds, shelves or a couple of hooks. The rooftop party went way way into Friday night and was too noisy. The amazing you from the room doesn't exist until one gets out onto the balcony. WiFi signal was very weak.

This is my first hostel experience and I loved it! AthenStyle is a great place to stay; it is centrally located with all the tourists sites, buses, metro stations. The rooftop was the highlight of the hostel, I can see the acropolis from there and it was an amazing view! The staff are so nice and sweet, loved the guys there.
