I would definitely recommend a stay at Hotel Alnea! I went to Cannes for a solo holiday and chose this hotel based on its fantastic location and great reviews - and I wasn’t disappointed! The staff are wonderful, the hotel is super clean and I felt incredibly safe. The room I had (economy) was simple but offered everything I needed and there is even a little terrace to sit out on and people watch with a coffee! :o) Great hotel and I would definitely stay here again - thank you, thank you!

Hey it was Cannes and really hot. The AC worked great. 2 blocks from train station helped me. A bit of a walk to a beach, but doable when not 95 degrees. Lots to do around hotel. I never stayed at a 2 star hotel, but this was fair value for the money. Not large enough room for more then one person, lets say that.

Lovely hotel in Cannes, great location very close to old town, restaurants and the beach. Owners were extremely friendly, always happy to have a chat in the lobby and offer reservations. Room was a good size, although bathroom was perhaps a little small. We had a lovely time here

It felt like home. The owners were so welcoming, the location was extremely close to the train station and I just loved the location in general. I was close to the action, restaurants and the beach. The room was all new furnishings and when I needed answers or guidance the owners were there to help. Had a great time there.

Nice little hotel very close to the train station and all of the tourist sights, shopping and restaurants in Cannes. Air conditioning was very nice after a day of exploring. Staff was helpful and courteous. Perfect for a couple looking for a quality room on a budget.

The hotel was good. The room was very very small and smelled wrong but was clean and tidy. It was a standard single room. I stayed for only one night. Staff was friendly. Internet did not work properly in my room. I had to come out every time and go to the breakfast/lunch area in order to use it.

Looking through the listings for hotels in Cannes I only wantes omewhere to sleep and the hotel seemd to be playing above its level two star but everyone was comending it.
And this is what it is . It is some time since I have stayed in a hole in the wall hotel in France - bad expereinces of Paris in the eighties.
The staff were friendly and polite there was breakfast availalbe but there are many cafes outside serving the same as the hotel was.
The only surpise was the room which was a double as anticipated it being small which the double was - a double bed with just enough rooom to wal around with clean and stocked toilet and shower room. so fine for what I needed but too small if you needed to spend any time in it, but for 50Euros it was all you could expect and a bit more

Stayed here in August 2013. Wonderful location, safe, clean, close to main tourist attractions, train station 2 min walk, 2 min walk to Croisette (prom) & port. Loads of restaurants within walking distance. Local bakeries around the corner, idea for breakfast. Breakfast optional in the hotel & no facilities for lunch/dinner, but not a problem as there is so much to chose in the surrounding area. Receptionist was extremely helpful in relation to making the most of my trip. Provided map of area, shade umbrella & mats for the beach also available. Great place to base yourself for a trip to the Cote d'Azur. Would gladly stay here again.
