Excellent value, the room was spacious with an amazing view of GuLangYu. The room was generally clean and includes amenities such as slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and free bottled water everyday.

Impressed and touched by every staff at reception during our 7 nights stay. Especially Ms Ellen. Due to repair works taking place on or below the 15th floor we stayed, our room was upgraded to 26th floor.
Ms Ellen ran extra miles when I asked for information on an unheard of village some 200km away. She made calls, location search and how to get around and about. Amazingly I found my long lost relatives. Thank you very much again Ellen.
Compliments too to 26th floor staff. Vicky surprised us with a mini birthday cake.
2 young ladies greeted us with moon cakes.
Room cleaning lady showed concern when I fell sick on my last 3 days stay. She brought a bowl of hot porridge to sooth my stomach before taking medication.
Upon check out, Ms Lora ensured all are in order for our departure.

The hotel is absolutely lovely albeit a little bit dated. Rooms were very clean. I was surprised that my (expensive) booking didn't include breakfast but it didn't bother me. The Gulangyu View Room had a spectacular view. Service at the hotel was lovely although they seem to want to charge for everything. I got a couple of coffee sachets in my room and there was a sign saying if I wanted more, it was chargeable. Seemed a bit odd to me because I would not use the tea bags. I wonder if they would have swapped tea bags for coffee? But I thought charging for coffee and sugar was a bit petty. The hotel is in a wonderful location. The area is very walkable with lots to see and do. The hotel comes recommended!

Whenever I go to Xiamen, I always sleep in this hotel. It's so nice to see around and there are many restaurants, so it's very convenient. The view of Gurangyi Island at room is so beautiful, and the fact that you can see it in your hotel room is very attractive. There is a lot of bottled water, and the breakfast is very rich and delicious. Whenever I go to Xiamen, I always go to this hotel.

1. This hotel is built above ground 5 story high. In front there is a shopping complex which is 3 minutes walk from the hotel main entrance. When the mall is open, you can use their elevators to go to the street level. If not you will have to walk the ramp which is inclined to 5 story high. NOT a good thing when you do not have a car or would like to come out for a walk.
2. The bell boys are very helpful. The managers are very helpful and knowledgeable. But the waitress in the lobby is not. She does not know English and when I approached her for a table. She snap in Mandarin that she does not speak English. Lucky I spoke both English and Mandarin. But I told her that was not the way to do it considering they are a 5 star international chain hotel.
3. Air conditioning could be better. They are part of the Accor Family which always have great air conditioning.
4. Head waitress in the second floor chinese restaurant and the steak place on the ground floor were great too.

Enjoyed our stay with Swiss grand hotel Xiamen. We booked 2 rooms. Clean and no smoke smell for non smoking room. Crystal was able to accommodate our request for late check out till 1pm. Will stay here again

Seaview rooms are quite spacious and with a nice view of the Kulangyu Island. Facilities are clean and staff are friendly, it is within 5 min walk to shops and plenty of eateries.

The location and service is excellence. Only the room temperature needed a bit of work to learn how get the right temperature. The dehumidifier and the aircond must work together and empty the water. Otherwise, the room will be very humid and warm.

We booked for 3 adults but they only gave us 1 king bed… we requested an extra bed but we have to pay additional cny330 per day without breakfast…they said even 5 persons in a room they have the same rate…we end up squeezing in 1 bed

The room is very comfortable especially the bed and blanket. The hotel location is good. It is between the metro station and Zhongshan Street. Heping Wharf is only 400m from hotel. The gym is very big. The only thing that need to improve is the buffet lunch quality. They have many many variety of food but only a few items are nice.

Hotel is very good. Very convenient location to travel around xiamen. But the
complimentary mineral water bottles should place in the room and not in the toilet. There is also another 2 bottle of mineral water that need to pay money and was place inside the room. My hubby think is free and drank it. In the end we need to pay money for it

The property is nice , clean and cozy. The location is very convenient. The room is pretty large, interior design is smart and functional.
