It was clean. The A/C worked great. Our phone never worked the whole time we were there, though we kept asking for the change. Still- it was clean and coolAnd inexpensive . Would stay again.

horrible experience. hotel looked very old and no maintenance. No keys for the rooms!! yoy had to ask front desk to open your room for you. And not friendly at all. never come back.

Great location to center

The price is very afforadble for a three star hotel, it's an open concept modern building, the rooms are large, no windows to open but a glass wall. It is atatched toa cute restaurant very well priced, whcih makes it more convenient. It nees more delicate TLC and care as my bathroom had a leak and a sewage smell. Mainly nationals stay in there, in and out, so wear and tear is evident. The front desk girls are basic, and offer no real customer service but a transactional interaction. Your key is here ...and bye....

I loved the staff and the pool. The night staff at the reception desk spoke English exceptionally well. My one complaint was the number of mosquitoes in my hotel room. I think this was due to housekeeping keeping my door open each day when they cleaned.

We had a problem with the door not closing properly and they moved us from the first floor to the second floor at the very end of it, the room practically hidden and it didn't have a doorknob like the others (a regular key one, not electronic like the others). They clearly had other rooms available, either on the first or the second (but not so hidden away), but they chose to give us the room hiding at the end of the corridor.

The location of the hotel is good. Only a couple of blocks from the city center (the historical bit). The room keys (magnetic keycards) were a constant bother as they expired every few hours having us to go to the reception to have them reprogrammed. Because they only activate them for one day or something stupid like that. Very frustrating if you come back to the room looking forward to a nice shower only to find out that AGAIN the door won't open. Staff is mostly not visible which is fine if things work fine. However the uninterested attitude was frustrating (in relation to the doorkey issue). Nobody spoke a word english either. Check-in was a chore as they screwed up the pricing, forgot our second room and were totally inflexible the checkin routine so I could change out of my cold rain soaked clothes and pay after that. Not a happy experience. Due to rain we ate in the next door restaurant the first night or so. Worst food we had in months. Burned salmon with grimy risotto that tasted like nothing. Even their local dish Poc Chuc was terribly prepared. Other than that, the room was fine. The shower and aircon was nice. Not 4 star as it says on the Expedia page here. But good enough. So if all you care for is a decent room with wifi then the hotel is good enough. Next time though... I'll stay in 'Hotel Nacional Merida' down the road which I stayed in a few months ago, the rooms there were nicer and staff more attentive and friendly.

Pour faire court : Pas d'eau chaude, pas de WiFi et pas de petit déjeuner Pour la longue histoire : Je suis arrivé dans une chambre sans clim, j'ai du réclamer la télécommande... On m'a donc changer de chambre après 5mon à faire mine de chercher celle ci.. Lorsque j'ai demandé où était le petit déjeuner, on m'a simplement répondu qu'il n'y en avait pas.. Hors j'ai payé un supplément sur expédia pour l'avoir. On a finalement accepté et on m'a demandé de venir le lendemain matin à 8h le chercher. J'y vais. ..on me dit qu'il arrive dans 40min,jattends 50min puis je retourne à la réception pour qu'on me dise que je vais finalement prendre le petit déjeuner dans un hôtel à côté. Bref.... Je ne recommande pas du tout.

The towels were hit and miss, sometimes new and bright, sometimes they had stains, rips and off-grey colour.The greatest drawback was the service which was rather poor. Unfriendly staff who seem to make a point of ignoring the guests and often dont even acknowledge their presence. Based on reviews on other sites service issues have been an ongoing problem for years. Management would be wise to implement some staff training. Not planning on coming back.

The hotel is in a great location.. the cleanliness & maintenance very poor... We were offered a tiny room (no room to open our suitcase), no hot water, not enough towels.. we were moved to a slightly larger room on the 2nd day.

Nice hotel, everything was booked and was luck to find a descent Hotel. Affordable and close to center/ Grand Plaza.

Nice little hotel. Beds were soft, rooms clean but didn’t have Hot Water.

I had the most horrible experience ever since I received a call in the middle of the night through the front desk from a so called Comandante threatening me who really wanted to blackmail or extort me. Obviously the front desk guy was involved since he knew my name and where I was from It was awful.

This hotel has very basic amenities. The rooms are overall clean. No hair dryer, one air conditioner unit that didn't run that well. The restaurant attached to the hotel had mediocre breakfast options. The only positive was location. The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the big plaza.

Didnt like it

I thought the only good thing about this hotel was the swimming pool, but now that my daughter is having an ear infection after she had some time in there, well.. To be fair, all the helpers there were very kind.

Nice staff Adequate rooms Good condition for that part of town and price Road noise for those with rooms along the street. Request interior rooms.
