Toui and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy at every turn. Great service, beautiful rooms, one of the best restaurants in Luang Prabang, and serious attention to detail make this property an excellent choice. We look forward to our next visit!

"Free airport transfer (by request)" was not free. They tried to charge laundry fee for a "evening gown" for which I never asked for service (I was a male solo traveller).

This hotel is close to flawless. The staff are excellent, the facility pristine and quality superb. The only minor quibble is that it’s a few clicks out of town but they deal with this by having a number of courtesy cars at various times. I cannot speak of this facility more highly.

We had a lovely honeymoon here at Luang Say. Love the architecture and the interior decor. Will definitely recommend this to all who are considering a luxury boutique hotel. We will come back!

The Luang Say Residence combines the luxuries of a top hotel with the charm and personal touch of staying in a boutique bed & breakfast. We loved it. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend this hotel.

I chose the Luang Say Residence because it was ranked as the #1 hotel in Luang Prabang and Im enthusiastic to say it exceeded my expectations. The experience was so good that Ive decided to leave for my first ever online hotel review. The rooms were large, extremely clean, comfortable, and very unique in an elegant french design. Customer service was second to none - there was never a feeling of them trying to sell products (e.g. room upgrades, tour packages, etc.) but rather a genuine effort made by all staff to make our experience as enjoyable and hassle free as possible. The multi-course served breakfast was amazing and it will be hard to go back to hotel breakfast buffets. Even if there werent a number of neat things to do in Luang Prabang, the Luang Say Residence on its own would have made the trip worthwhile. My only regret is not having booked a longer stay here.

Loved the staff at the hotel- very friendly and knowledgeable. It takes about 7 mins to get downtown by car or tuk tuk, but the staff helped with transportation. If you want to stay in the center this isnt the place, but we loved the calm and relaxing vibe and the fact that there is a bit more space.

This picturesque hotel is outside the old town but hey provide an on demand shuttle service and return shuttles from town run every hour. A Tuktuk from town is 10-20k Kip. It has a fantastic pool which is super relaxing to hang out at. The breakfast is served a la carte and is delicious. Service is friendly and attentive. The place itself is so beautiful and our plantation suite was large and well-appointed. The Hotel arranges tours if you want too. They offer airport transfers as well. Nice mix of couples and families.

Luang Prabang is the most beautiful small town in Asia Ive ever been, an incredible great surprise,The Hotel is Superb, Ive contacted by mail with the manager to arrange our stay due to my wifes birthday and they organize everything beautifully, excursions, transfers everything, We book the transfer from the airport and Francoise welcomed us in the Arrival hall with a great smile and a superb attention to all the details (well done guy) and lead us to the hotel where weve been welcomed by the Hotels manager, who seems to be doing an excellent job here, Hotels staff are so warm, friendly, helpful, theyve showed up with a welcome mocktail and a birthday cake during the check in before to lead us to our room,The hotel is way better than what you can see in Expedias pictures, the atmosphere and the charming ambiance, the decoration is superb, beautifully detailed, awesome landscape, everything is just perfect,We booked the Pioneer room, and it was really nice, located in the first level, the size is perfect, the bedding was wowww we really had a very good rest ,we enjoy the balcony views, The Breakfast is outstanding as well, we specially love this type of small hotels , more intimate and where you can get rid of those Buffet type breakfast, here they serve a la carte meals , which are beautifully prepared and presented, with enough options to fulfill all your needs and expectations,

Great and beautiful property. Breakfast is served in a very formal way and have very limited selection included in your pre-paid rate - any additional item is incredibly pricy. Breakfast needs to be rethought.

Room is excellent, big and comfy. Con is the pool is right beside the busy road where you can hear a lot of noise and food/drinks really over priced.

This is an exceptional property where we stayed three nights at the end of our Laos holiday. The architecture is mock French-colonial. We had an upper floor Pioneer suite which was huge, and had everything you would really need. The pool is probably the biggest in LP, and because there are so few rooms, it never felt busy. The staff are super friendly, and nothing seemed too much for them. Breakfast - included in our room rate - was excellent as well. There are of course many luxury hotels to choose from in this town; and we researched many of them prior to booking here. Indeed we visited a few of them when we were there. I can honestly say that I still think we made the right choice. Just one small niggle (which I mentioned in their questionnaire): the drinks prices in particular, and the menu in general, were exorbitant. I can accept a reasonable markup, but when a Beer Lao (my benchmark for these things) is up to four times as much as some of the restaurants in town, I feel I have to take a principled stand, and not buy. No wonder nobody was buying anything to drink by the pool. The Luang Say's restaurant was empty most evening and consequently lacked ambiance. I just think the hotel needs to reconsider its pricing strategy. Such a shame really, and a real missed opportunity.

Great size hotel - not too many guests. Close enough to the centre of town. Great staff and overall a very comfortable and relaxing place. Excellent food at the restaurant - even for Breakfast. Kids loved the pool and the sense of space.

Beautiful garden, big rooms, nice decoration, very good food, very nice staff, good location, bid Swimming pool. A perfect stay in LuanG Prabang.

The Luang Say Residence is a wonderful place to stay in Luang Prabang. The staff was inobtrusive, but at the same time friendly and extremely helpful. There didn't seem to be anything they wouldn't do for you. The restaurant had great food, the pool was relaxing, and the rooms were comfortable, roomy, and super clean. The place also offered free transportation into town on demand, and had a regular shuttle service in the evenings. I can't think of a base they didn't cover, or anything they couldn't have done better to earn my business. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommended. P.S. They've also got some friendly and very cute rabbits patrolling the grounds. They added a really nice touch to the overall vibe of the place.

Great overall. Had to keep going to bar to get drinks and bring back to pool. Many lost drink sales from several people.

Amazing old world feel. Spacious rooms and breathtaking property. Courteous staff and sensitive management. Language an issue with housekeeping who neglect the rooms after day 1 of stay. restaurant and bar staff extremely courteous and gentle.
