It good for the price of it.

Super convenient. Very close to Kyoto station and many convenient stores. A few choices for breakfast (only bread and coffee). Useful free stuff is prepared by the hotel such as city map brochure, shaver and umbrellas.

Some Japanese hotels aren’t meant for westerners and the R&B is one of them. The bed was a hard futon and the pillow was just as hard. The A/C was constantly failing and I was forced to crack the window letting in the street noise a block from Kyoto station. While the staff was lovely I’m sure I was the only westerner. The breakfast required buying a ticket from the front desk and much of the menu was never available. Thank god for Japanese convenience stores. The local Izakayas really weren’t interested in tourists. An unfortunate experience in learning that under $100 a night hotels are meant for businessmen staying overnight and aren’t meant for tourists.

It quit hard to find the place. It is 4pm to check in, while 10 am check out. The breakfast was just some bread and coffee, taste was not that good. The wifi was quite bad, would not live there again.

My ratings are based on the price; really good value for money. Super close to Kyoto Stn and easy to find. The room was small but actually fairly typical for Japan and I have paid much more for the same size. The beds advertised as single are actually double with decent quality clean bedding. Bathroom was very small but again pretty standard for Japan. Free boiled eggs, rolls and coffee in the morning was a bonus and the staff were lovely.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was just nice for one person with enough space for luggage. TV channels were all in Japanese and breakfast was egg and bread and juice and coffee - sufficient and value for money. It is 50m from avanti - shopping centre with tax free for tourists and about 3min to the airport bus to kansai airport. Very good location and has 2 convenience stores within 10m radius.

The front desk people were great and helpful. They gave me non smoking room but they had to choose disability room which was fine for me. The bathroom was nice and roomy! Glad I had that room for one night.

Simple no-frills place, clean and well-organized, close to the station and convenient.

The R&B room is small, the continental breakfast OK. The staff is friendly
and efficient with good English. The hotel is just 200m from the Kyoto station.
The lift , shower, lighting, frig, tv all operated well but with no cupboard space.
The Hotel is modern and very clean.
I enjoyed my stay,the hotel is good value and situated near lots of shops restaurants.

The room was cosy and very quiet. The bed was really comfortable and I slept very well. The free breakfast was simple but sufficient - eggs, bread, pastries, juice and coffee. The hotel is very easy to find (right opposite the Hachijo exit of Kyoto station) and close to many convenience stores. A good stay in a comfortable hotel.

The hotel is really for day or two layover for Japanese business travelers with one small piece of luggage. To cut cost they do not provide toothbrush by default (as in a typical Japanese hotel), but they do provide light breakfast. If you are a tourist with a lot of luggage avoid by all means.
