This is by far one of the best properties that I have stayed in till now.. has an amazing ambience and the rooms are also superb. The staff is unbelievably courteous. The location is very close to Mall road which is the key spot in Darjeeling. Though it's a little expensive.l, but worth it. The food is also fantastic. Do opt for complementary breakfast. You will surely enjoy. Would definitely recommend and even I would want to revisit again.

The food was sub-standard--we tried out dinner which was really disappointing .We couldnt have a morsel of our dinner but they charged .The Manager Mr. Bhuman ..cant recall ....did apoloize but we paid for it. I had stayed in their BBSR, Rourkela and Puri properties --their food is really good.

The hotel was excellent! The property including rooms were very clean, the staff were great, the check-in process was excellent. Food and drinks were more expensive than other hotels but the food quality and services were good.

Beautiful property with attention to every detail. Rooms are little small but cosy and comfortable. The property itself is self sufficient to spend few lazy days to relax and rejuvenate. Child friendly so lot of play areas and safe. Lot of area to sit and spend time on your own, may be listening to music or read a book.

There is no doubt that this is the most amazing place to stay but after spending so much, we were assigned a very sad room . Renovation was going on so whole night the building construction work was going on which was disturbing.

This property is located near by mall road. Service and staff are very good. I find this is the only location near Darjeeling which is not so crowded.

What an amazing experience! They have done an absolutely fabulous job of maintaining this property that has been around since the 1800s. Location is unbeatable just a short walk to a wonderful observation point of the Himalayan mountain range and also the mall area full of locap merchants and shops. This location is also away from the congested and polluted downtown area. Service was impeccable, from a wonderful welcoming with tea and cookies to lightimg the fireplace in the room anytime requested. Also appreciated was complimentary unlimited bottled water and tea/snacks. They helped arrange our tiger hill transport, airport transports and a half day tour -- certainly if trying to save money can do these on your own own but we knew it would be done well through the hotel.Resort grounds were very well maintained with gorgeous flowers abundant.Breakfast and dinners were delicious, with both indian and western items available. The weakness was baked goods and desserts which wouldnt measure up to a standard western palate, but there was plenty to choose from.Only other minor complaint was cold rooms but this was easily remedied with room heater and fireplace.Overall this was magical stay for us and would hoghly recommend to anyone able to stay at the property.

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views and central location in Darjeeling. Service was excellent especially our dining room waiter Tapan. The food that was served was always tasty and the bar in the hotel was very comfortable. Staff were able to arrange transportation to and from Bagdogra airport as well as a driver for a day of touring the area.

It's a Mayfair property so high standards on quality and service is expected and delivered. The best part of the stay was the staff which was helpful and on the toes. Special mention for the service staff at the buffet restaurant and the spa. Things that can be improved significantly is a) the wifi connection as it is very patchy and not at all reliable. b) The bathroom hot water supply is via a single unit of Geyser hence inadequate if you are staying at the property in winter. Overall lots of entertainment and activity is arranged by the property and evenings are quite buzzing.

Great place to stay. It is like a little resort. I got a shave, hair cut. Food is great. You can't fgo wrong with staying here.

Pricey but clean and well maintained. The hotel did add random additional charges (~$100) at the last minute during check-in which was not mentioned at the time of booking through expedia.
