The hosts are super nice and friendly, they offer me a welcome “milk”. Thats really sweet. Parking is available right outside your room and even you travel by kiwi or inter city bus, this motel is also one of their stop, super convience.
On the day I check out in the early morning, the hosts are still here to assist.

I would recommend 58 on Cron to anybody staying in Franz Joseph. The staff are tremendously helpful and pleasant and the rooms are spacious. Additionally there is plenty of dining options within a short walking distance.

What we liked the most was the service from the check in staff, friendly & informative…. Very comfortable one night stay. Great location - walking distance to the restaurants in the area. Not far from Franz Josef Glacier. Check-in process was great. The owner/mgr was great. She even met us early the next morning as we were preparing to leave before the office opened and offered us a sheet of sights along our route. Went over and explained things in the area. Service level was excellent - highly recommend and great location.

I think we must have got the two wettest and coldest days in October but our hotel room was super warm and cosy. Walking distance to town and most cafes and restaurants. Lovely staff at the front desk, very obliging. Has a good laundry facility which we utilised and the hotel was very quiet. Nice views of mountains. Easy drive to Franz Josef glacier.
