Clean, modern room. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Large shower/tub with hot water and good water pressure.
Will mention there are stairs so may not ideal for some individuals.
2.5
Beautiful scenic lake view for rooms at the back of the Inn after the leaves have fallen. It was also nice to get fresh Take Out at the front desk, from the kitchen. GREAT food! Great fresh aldente veggies- in November. Stay Prices in Kenora are HIGH. This was relatively reasonable and very spacious, cozy!

Unfriendly staff only wanted name and payment

Great Owner made sure heat was on prior to arrival, was so nice not to be freezing all night.

Cute little patio garden area

Very nice rooms. A little pricey. Slept very well.

Bed was quite comfortable. Very limited lighting.

Great little spot, staff were so friendly and kind. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant on-site was a perfect touch after a long day of driving. Easy walk to the lake and small beach/park. Loved my stay, will def. be back again!

Amazing friendly and accommodating owners, the rooms were top notch!! Very well done! Would stay again.

Property was looking run down. Spider webs in room. Not very presentable floor was dirty. Too pricey for what was there.
5.0
Large comfy room. Quiet location. Could use regular coffee pot.
2.0
The room was very dirty. There was hair on the walls of the shower, as well as on the sheets and pillows. It does not look like the sheets were changed from the last guest.
There is a very bright light right outside the door to the room. The door has a window in it with shades that do not block out light. So it was bright all night. Furthermore, the light attracted all the bugs. So whenever the door was opened, a bunch of bugs came into the room.
There were lots of bugs in the room.
There was no wifi.

Not happy

We always have had great experiences at this hotel. We enjoy staying there as it is walking distance to keewatin beach and very close to Keeatin place. The suites are custom and clean. Although it is a bit expensive it ticks all the boxes. We visit yearly and are so happy to found this place a few summers ago. Highly recommended

Exactly what we were looking for - a clean, comfortable place to spend the night. Because we were arriving late, they called us and explained how self check-in would work and where to park, this was very helpful and made our check in smooth.

The room was quite large, bright, and extremely clean. There is a small courtyard with a fountain and seating, very nice!
The staff were very accommodating.

Room is fine. Spacious and clean.
No restaurants nearby. No front desk service after 8pm which is not convenient for summer travellers .
5.0
Easy check in and out. Rooms are clean enough. Good location
3.0
Room was clean but not as shown on website. No ice available on site. Exterior of unit in disrepair and many of the pictures shown on the website were not what was there. The onsite restaurant was a takeout only. The coffee inroom was a french press, kettle and an undetermined amount of coffee in a packet. Advertised a view that didn't exist. For the price of this room, it was absolutely not worth it.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Timberland Inn. The experience was generally good both times. The bed and chairs could use some upgrading. I liked that I could walk to Keewatin Beach in about 8 minutes.

Rooms are extremely basic for the price. Flooring was a dark color which hid how dirty it was. Had to wash feet after walking barefoot.

We travelled for 12 hours and arrived late. They called us three times to make sure we were coming. Told them we were driving and assured them we were coming. We arrived and they took out payment and directed us at n where to go. Had to climb 2 sets of stairs to get to our suite and I am recovering from hip surgery. The pull out couch was horrible. The bed last time med like the sheets were just pulled up and lifted them back to reveal filth under the sheets…probably from ok someone’s dirty feet. The springs were jutting out. I slept on top of the sheets with a blanket from the car. The other double bed was fine, but when you are offering a pull out couch for a sleeping space, it should be just as clean and comfortable as the bed. Because the owners left the premises we could not call them to remedy the situation and in the morning they were not there to hear how our stay was. This was place was definitely lacking any customer service. Seems like they just wanted their money and could care a less about serving their guest. And when you are paying $300 a night, you would expect some semblance of customer service. Very disappointed.
A tired traveller!

Awesome place to stay
2.0
Very deceiving in appearance as you do not really see the accommodation side of it until you park and walk behind the front building. We made sure to call and advise that we were going to be late checking in so the managers left a key in a lockbox for us. The restaurant was not open when we arrived, nor does it serve breakfast but I've been told it is an awesome Chinese food place. That would have been nice to know when we made the reservation as I booked it thinking we'd be able to eat breakfast there. The room is basic but comfortable. The only glitch would be there was light from the porch. The back porch has a couple of seating areas with a view of the lake. Overall a nice surprise.

Beautiful view of the lake. Room was cozy. I recommend this location.

Nice and clean. Large room and quiet.

The room had not been cleaned, there were food crumbs all over the carpet and couch. Bathroom shower curtain was falling off and water sprayed from shower all over bathroom.
Would not stay here again

Mattess was very comfortable. Linens were very clean. Glasses were dirty, floor was dirty; even sticky in places. Bathroom door needs to be raised up from floor, very difficult & noisy to close. Entire place needs tlc. Cost too high for value.

Good quality, quiet. Lots of room. Description as an Inn is accurate. Bakery on premises. Reasonably priced ($199 on a long weekend) compared to some of the places downtown ( budget chain hotels were charging $300 ). 5 minutes Outside of downtown (Keewatin). Just a note- (Downtown a little sketchy at night).

Would be helpful to have instructions for the coffee. There was a french press but instant coffee. Didn’t know it was instant until using it

This property could use some renovations, very dated. Bed is comfortable, not worth the money we paid for a night
3.0
The property is pretty run down, mostly on the outside. Buildings in need of painting and repairs.
Check-in was in an area that felt like a convenience store, and the dining room that’s pictured on the site was being used to store large pieces of equipment. To be fair, a sign says “under new ownership”, so perhaps they are in transition.
The room had had some recent refreshing - decent modern furniture and trim on walls, nice new bathroom. But some spots in room old and there were no pictures or other decoration anywhere.
The was only enough coffee provided for one WEAK cup of coffee in a Bodum press. There was no soap in the bathroom (though there was shampoo and lotion).

Well maintained

I like that the property is very clean. The setting is lovely and parking is good.
The one problem is that the walls between the rooms are so thin that one can clearly hear "normal volume" conversations in the neighbouring suite.
For $245 for a 20 hour stay, it would be preferable to not hear the neighbours chatting. We can't even expect the neighbours to be quieter, because all they are doing is conversing, right next to my bedroom, but that prevents me from sleeping. And it's not a TV. It's a conversation that I should not be able to hear.
After a long day on the road, a traveler wants a quiet night.

The rooms are updated, modern, and clean. Having vinyl plank flooring instead of carpet is great. We appreciate that pets are allowed and welcome.

Not clean - ants all over the room. The grounds were not clean.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days, and we couldn't have been happier. The service was excellent. We had an issue with the cable tv and the Manager came right up and was on the phone with Shaw for almost a half hour. He apologized over and over for the inconvenience...He was so accommodating. The housekeeping was top notch and the housekeeper was very friendly. The place was busy every single night with different people arriving and leaving the next morning. With all the comings and goings, we didn't hear a thing. This is the only place that I will stay anytime I am in the Kenora area. I cannot say enough good things about Timblerland Inn. 10/10 in my books!! Highly recommend this Inn.

When we checked in they told us they had given us an upgraded room. They gave a suite, with a lake view! The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. There is a beach nearby with a park for kids. They also have a beautiful garden! I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Suite was comfy and clean and pet friendly. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Ordered food for dinner from Timber Garden it was great fresh and hot . Suggestions to improve , finish bathroom Reno and fix shower taps , also have breakfast and coffee available in the morning hours . Overall stay was very good

We’ve stayed here 6 times over the last 3 years while on route to Alberta to see our family. It’s reliable, dependable and affordable.
Our dog is welcome and we love the fresh muffins in the morning.
