It said in my booking free breakfast but when I had to check out at 11 the reception that was just a bar table in a restaurant not open. So I didn’t receive any breakfast and there were no-one to ask about it. The shower was not connected to the room it had it’s own little room with a simple shower in the corridor and there were no good place to put my clean clothes so I had to put them on the floor and since there were no shower curtain and there was like 30-50 cm of floor between the shower and the door my clothes got wet. And the toilet that also wasn’t connected to the room the flush button was broken so I had to press different broken pieces to get it to flush.

There is no onsite parking as claimed in the listing. Thr reception "desk" is down a dark narrow corridor.
I had booked because of the supposed onsite parking. I was told to park in any side street where it was allowed.
I objected and cancelled the booking after discussion with the manager.

The place is well located, however, parking can be a challenge. The rooms are very clean but (in our case) you need to go up 3 levels through a narrow set of steps and there’s no reception area. No English spoken onsite, the reception is at the restaurant below.

If you want luxuries, like soap, decent lighting for reading, more than 1 1/2 hangers in the wardrobe and a door between the en-suite and bedroom, then look elsewhere. Note also that the description of facilities is incorrect. There is no on site parking - it is in a nearby, unsecured public car park and costs Euro 8.60 for 24 hours. Also the restaurant does not specialise in French cuisine - it does have a few basic dishes on the menu, but you will be pressured into having the couscous, although this is very good. Also, don't bother with the overpriced deal with meals included. For a double room it only includes meals for 1 person. Ideal if you are Jack Sprat and his wife, otherwise you're better just paying for the room and food separately. Or better, stay elsewhere and come here for the couscous before returning to your comfortable room.

We were in Normandie to visit Juno Beach and Dieppe. We were going to make a day trip to Vimy Ridge and Beaumont-Hamel but the distance was too great do we booked this hotel, because it was cheap and we had already paid for a room that we were leaving, and drove there. We stopped at Vimy Ridge first so it was later on the day when arrived at the hotel. It is a tired, old place across from the train station. Room was small, up 47 stairs!, the, I think owner, was very helpful and nice. We paid €40 which was about right. Toilet behind a shower curtain, small but good shower, hot water, and the place was clean - pink toilet paper! High end shopping nearby and lots of food and drink options close by. Free parking means find a spot on the street - we parked in front of the hotel but moved the car early to avoid a ticket.

The room was a bit small and the building is definitely vintage, yet clean. The older gentleman who greeted us and took care of us during our stay was so super nice and helpful. I would stay again just for his service.

This is a very old hotel, but it met my needs for my short stay in Lens. The hotel building is in need of repair, as the building is slightly tilting, which makes blood rush to your head while sleeping. I slept with my head at the foot of the bed to deal with this. The level on my phone measured a 3 degree tilt, so not much but still noticeable. The bathroom was in need of a paint job with some water damage. Overall this was a reasonable place for the very low price paid. Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Not much he could do about a building of this age.

Ok for a one night stay, but in the city centre so quite noisy at night

It was an basic hotel. We used it as a spot to sleep and keep our clothes. It was a good hub while we were visiting sites while in France for the Vimy Centennial. Double beds, French only tv and no elevators.

Great people running hotel. Excellent location to the trains.
Bed was comfortable, room is tight but great for just myself.
Can't expect a lot for the price point, I enjoyed my couple nights and the owner is a very nice man.
