This hotel beds are really comfy but the hotel decor is very tacky and not trendy as a 5 star hotel. But overall I am happy with the location. Very close to Taichung musical hall.

I stayed for two nights and on the first morning I left specific instructions at the front desk that I did not need my room cleaned, and to my surprise after I got back to my room on the evening of, the room was made up again. Ans it was clear to me that my combination lock on my weekender duffle bag had been tempered with. I left specific but random numbers on the lock before I left that morning and the numbers on the lock were of a different set when I went back that same evening. To this day I still have not gotten an explanation as to why my request to not have the room cleaned was not received. Also, there is not a decal/sign that can be hung outside the door to let staff know not to clean the room, like most hotels do have and provide, there at the Lin. It makes me wonder why that is?!
And to boot, even after the room was made up after I specifically requested for it not to be, I found loose black hair (not mine as I have colored hair) on the bed under the comforter and the bed sheet. The sofa's fabric is covered with small balls of lint also.
The front desk staff and bell hops working to receive guests are the only saving grace of this hotel, in my opinion. And the fact that it is located directly to the back of Tiger City, a more upscale "mall" that offers shops and eateries.
Would I choose to stay at the Lin hotel again? Maybe only if I have no other options. And guys, lock up your valuables before you leave your hotel rooms!

Good location! Kids like going to the pool and walking around the hotel. We got the corner room so it was more spacious for our family of 5.

The hotel didn’t make all the elevators working which created the waiting queue all the times. Also made the waiting time extra long no matter which floor wwe’re at.

Overall very positive. Buffet breakfast probably the best in town. Daily housekeeping. Super comfortable beds and pillows. I did find a strand of long black hair on bathroom floor day #1 but other than that impeccable. This certainly wasn't enough to complain about and I'm sure that if I had complained they would have put me in a new room straightaway. I've stayed here before and will certainly stay here again on my next visit to Taichung.

I have been staying at Lin's Hotel for over 10 times and each time is fantastic . Love the walking distance to Maple Park and Hot Pot restaurants.

The day before our stay we called the hotel to ask about the shuttle service, we called at least 10 times over a 5-hour period but nobody answered the phone.
Most staff was kind but one particular lady was very unpleasant and unkind.
The room itself was clean and well maintained, but the sofa was slightly uncomfortable.
The hotel has an executive lounge on the 25th floor but only soft drinks and packaged snacks are offered.

We were able to get a slightly earlier check-in time.Personally, I felt the bed was a bit too soft, but the bed sheets were amazing smooth and soft.The toilet shower and bathtub had amazing powerful water pressure, so shower experience was good.

The hotel was nice and decent, but nothing too special. The staff definitely needs a lot more training. They need to be more attentive to their guests and maybe smile a little more. It felt like they were forced to work there. A little more spirit people.

吃了buffet早餐後發生嚴重的急性腸胃炎，就醫服藥後仍然持續了數日。酒店方面來電說沒有調查出什麼問題，願意支付願意醫藥費（但醫藥費其實都是健保啊，酒店還真的一本正經的就賠償了掛號費而已…）
事後查了一些評論，才知道林酒店的食安問題早已惡名昭彰。…
