Great furnishings, so much character! Beds and sheets super comfortable!

Beware of the check in process! They do not have a full time staff so front desk closes at 6pm. They never emailed or texted us the room number and door code as indicated. Its practically impossible to get someone after hours. Room was not clean at all - like they hadn't expected check in. Good location but not so great service.

We loved the decor, the location and the bed itself was very comfortable however, we could not figure out the AC with the remote and it was 75 degrees most of the night so we did not sleep comfortably- we are used to cooler temps at night and are hot sleepers. I finally figured it out around 2am but at that point I had very little sleep and just wanted some air flow in the room. It wasn’t until I hit the “super” button on the remote that it began to cool off and I could rest comfortably though it took awhile to do so. Other than that, it was a unique and lovely place to stay.

Fabulous and the lobby/outdoor seating was beyond charming and cool. The Innkeeper or owner was delightful and kept his guests in conversation over wine or coffee - depending the time of day.

The Outpost Inn is a great option within close proximity to downtown Highlands. The room was quaint and comfortable, a little more rustic than the expedia pictures portray, but lovely. Check out their website for a more accurate depiction. Staff is not typically onsite, but they are present at the sister property Highlands Mountain House if you need ice or other assistance. The Outpost has beautiful new cruiser bikes available that you can check out for a quick jaunt into town for coffee or dinner.

This property is meant for people needing a place to sleep and shower in a comfortable, clean environment. Quaint, no frills rooms with attached small bathrooms get the job done. The outdoor am ience is nice, but what makes it special is the congeniality of the owner. Great coffee bar and conversation. Truly a genuine good soul. The rooms were nice, but the experience was great.

Room is small. About 10 feet x 30 feet with a king sized bed. Loaded with nice amenities. Eclectic deco. Fire pits and comfy registration area. Excellent, cordial service.

Very quiet and comfortable room. Driveway to back parking lot is terrible. Not very nice to a low riding sports car. Front lot is great when available.

The property was a welcomed upgrade from the past, ownership has done a marvelous job and support staff was fabulous

The room was very basic, but met all my needs---it was small, but clean and quiet--I had a mini refrigerator and Keurig, so I had everything I needed. The bed was comfy and my (limited) interactions with the staff were kind and considerate. I will definitely be staying there again.

This is the perfect place to stay right in downtown highlands for a weekend getaway.

Even though the room was very small we still loved it, it was quiet and cozy. The bed was very comfortable, great quality t.v. The water pressure in the shower was awesome! We also loved the fireplace. The driveway is in desperate need of repairs. Great location for downtown Highlands. We would definitely stay here again

Such a cute place to stay! Updated and only minutes from Highlands shops and restaurants.

Room small with nowhere to really put a suitcase and no closet. TV remote controls worn where you couldn’t tell the function but other than that, a comfortable bed and great shower

Quaint little Inn just outside Highlands downtown aptly named the Outpost. The Inn features nicely decorated , comfortable rooms and laid back ambiance. We enjoyed the outside firepit and the lobby living room area which were great places to relax after a day of hiking and site seeing. The staff was accommodating and responsive and I would go back

We had a great time at the Outpost! We stayed in room 11, it was very cute. No big issues, rated a 4 because of a few small things. We left for the day and did not put the ‘do not disturb’ or ‘cleaning service requested’ door hanger in the outside of the door but our room was entered and cleaned while we were gone. Didn’t expect that for just a 2-night stay. There is a small couch for sitting but it doesn’t look very clean, just had one stain but I didn’t feel comfortable using it. The bed is located a little bit awkwardly between 2 walls making it difficult to get up and down. I would stay here again! Those were just thing I would have wanted to know ahead of time. Oh, and there isn’t anyone available after 6 if you need anything but the checkin process was super easy and convenient.

We loved our stay at the Wells ( now the Outpost Inn). The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Lots of attention to detail and the staff was very welcoming. We will definitely be back- highly recommend this inn.

Not the wells hotel. Don’t book, its a completely different place using the wells name.

Hotel recently changed name and appears to be undergoing room renovation. No one at front deck for check in. Call number on door and eventually someone showed up. Did not receive txt or email with check in instructions. Rooms were pretty nice and clean. Comfortable bed, gas fire place. Hotel has lots of potential.

Very cozy and well kept, enjoyed the complimentary champagne , easy 10 minute walk to town
