I thought this was a lovely hotel. While visually the colors in the rooms appear a little outdated, it fits in with Vienna and everything was clean and the bathrooom was more modern. The only drawback is that you don’t use a card to tap to enter your room you have to use a key to both lock and unlock your room.

Loved everything about this hotel! Rooms are beautiful and clean. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is delicious with plentiful choices. It’s in Stephenplatz so close to attractions and public transport lines.

Michael saved us and went above and beyond to help us when we forgot our passports in another city. Kamal pampered us. Service was outstanding in every way and the breakfast was delicious. You can’t beat the location. Many walkable sites, shopping and restaurants. The lounge area furniture is a little dated but clean and well-kept. Loved the flower arrangements. It would be nice to have accessible plugins in the room for our devices. Lamps with device plugins by the bed would solve this. The internet did not work in our room but we were given another room right away when the issue could not be resolved. It was nice to have a carafe of fresh water on the table in our room.

This hotel is so darling and the PERFECT location- the cost was great too - the value. If you have a car- there are two parking locations they have a deal with to ensure you can park- because you are so centrally located and can walk everywhere. The staff was so helpful and friendly- the hotel really impacts I think sometimes if you will like a city or not- this hotel made me fall in love with Vienna- and I can't wait to go back- it was a complete experience. The room key is so iconic- it isn't a normal key card either. Great great stay.

The staff at the front desk were very nice, but there were no blackout screens for some of the windows, which was a real problem in the mornings. Plus, the air conditioning did not work because it was central air conditioning and set too low. The breakfast was also not great quality, and the waiter serving breakfast was borderline rude all the time. It’s a shame because there were so many other great things about the property.

A rarity amongst hotels nowadays. Wonderful service, elegant and friendly. More like a club than a hotel. Small and intimate in scale, an antidote to chain hotels. If you believe that old-fashioned can be a virtue then come here. Also the free breakfast and wonderful ladies of the Fruhstuckruam is a bonus!

Our family has been staying here for over 30 years! It is a 5 minutes walk from St Stephens Cathederal. This hotel has so much charm & the location is excellent. Fantastic staff, breakfasts, food, lovely & relaxing bar/lounge area too.

I think KVU is the best kept secret in Vienna. The location is so convenient and the staff is so amazing.Very nice breakfast, I have been coming here for about 30 years and never been disappointed.

Hotel in historic building. Excellent breakfast buffet. Nice bar and lounge but restaurant no longer open. Perfect location in city center. Only minutes from main square and cathedral and subway train station.
Shower is located inside the bathtub and is not ideal for older guests.

We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. It is so conveniently located in the old historic part of the city, yet very quiet. The family room setup was great with the 2 (young adult) kids upstairs and us downstairs. Breakfast was fabulous too.

Great location close to St. Stephen’s church and restaurants/shops, we were given a room that had extra 2 beds in the attic !! which was a surprise.. breakfast was phenomenal .. the room and over all the hotel were superbly clean. This hotel is a hidden gem and worth every penny.

We had a short stay at König von Ungarn and it was perfect. The oasis of a bar at the ground floor, the personal who gave us such a warm welcome, and a stunning room. They were super helpful with everything ranging from parking to carrying bags to efficient room service. Will for sure be back at this hotel for a longer stay next time we’re in Vienna. Thanks!

We loved everything about this hotel, the location was excellent, central location yet it's quiet on a street. The room and property were very elegant, well maintained and historical. All stuff members were friendly and professional. The breakfast was very good, very impressed. We would love to go back this hotel when we go back to Vienna for sure.

I had two nights at this lovely hotel. The location cannot be beat. It is beautiful, with a comfortable atrium lobby for coffee or wine. The room and bathroom were fantastic, spacious.
All of that would have been fantastic, but the hotel staff, Siri in particular were amazing. My wallet was stolen at a train station prior to Vienna. I arrived upset and very stressed out. Siri offered and then walked me to the nearby Police Station to file a report. That care and kindness went a long way after an awful experience. The staff was kind and attentive - makes a difference.
I'll be back to this beautiful spot!
