Great hotel for the price, has everyone you need & close to local pubs/bars and public transport! Would recommend and will be staying again in future

The place is really old, falling apart and unkept. Things are really in a terrible condition such as broken shower head, mouldy bathroom seals, leaking radiators, taped up wall sockets, cables and wires hanging out, old musty and dirty carpets, stained beds with cheap mattresses. The breakfast was not cooked, it consisted of a paper bag left outside the door containing croissant, pan au chocolat, yoghurt and a juice all from lidl. The people working there were nice but that was the only redeeming quality.

Firstly, I would say that without exception, each member of staff I encountered was polite, friendly and went above and beyond what I expected to help me. I made this booking very last minute due to cancellation of my forward travel. I had my bike with me and the staff put it in their store room over night.There was a band on I think in the bar below and the music went on very late and was incredibly loud in my room. In the evening I couldn't get any hot water from the sink, but as the shower seemed hot I decided not to bother anyone as I was already dressed for bed after a super long day. By morning, I was sweaty (maybe there was a plastic cover on the mattress?), I'd struggled to sleep due to a combination of feeling alternately hot and cold all night in my very soft bed, and the huge sound bleed from the bar and other rooms. All I wanted was a shower. The water was freezing. I ran it for ten minutes then gave up.I had high hopes for my continental breakfast which actually turned out to be a stale croissant and some pre packaged orange juice with a yoghurt (I'm dairy free) in a paper bag, left outside the room. I decided to cut my losses at around 9am. I couldn't find any staff, no one answered the door bell, no one answered the reception phone number so eventually I had to ring the number for the manager. She was ever so polite but had clearly been asleep and she had to call someone else to bring my bike so I could finally leave. I won't be back.

I stayed here to go on a night out with friends. The price was great, the room was warm and clean. Staff were really nice. I’d stay here again.

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. Small adjustments will bring about big improvements. A bargain for the price and would definitely book this hotel again.

The staff are accomodating. The hotel is old and needs alot of updating but the room and bed is clean. Location is reallg good as shops are near and

This is a decent budget hotel. The elevator was not working, for the last year apparently. The breakfast was not to my taste. Croissants and muffins. I prefer toast and eggs. However good waterfront location, good price and pleasant staff

The place needs shutting down and i want a total refund. We had to sleep with our clothes on even after asking them to put the heating on and no kettle. The second night there we got another hotel as the room was tiny, the pillows were filthy, still no kettle, a tv that didnt work, electric extentions going around the room and a wardrobe trying to fall over. ALL the furniture looks like its out of a skip and thats no lie.

This property has recently changed ownership and has a new name which was misleading when trying to initially locate it. The first room 11, the bathroom smelt, the centre portion of the shower mixer was totally missing, the waste bin was old and battered and screws were rusty. The bedroom area had worn and scratched bed side units and in general was crying out for an upgrade. I asked for an upgrade which was accommodated at no extra cost this time to room 18 which was much better, had been modernised and was light and airy. The only downside personally was that the wall between adjoining room 19 was plasterboard so you could hear everything going on. The location was ideal for the purpose of my visit but this venue itself was disappointing.

Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with no limit on the cereals, fruit or pancakes. On the minus side the hotel has two names, Bay and Customhouse, which caused me to panic on arrival and there was a funny smell from the shower room but was also outside the building and may have been caused by the proximity to the river. All in all one of the better hotel rooms I have stayed in recently and is on the revisit list.

Property was, apart from the publuc areas, in a poor state of decoration. The bar and dining area were fairly presentable. The stairs and corridors leading to the rooms were very poor and not what one would have expected. The bedroom was cold, the bed well past its use by date and the hot water in the bathroom was not very hot. The breakfast was good as was the service.

It wasn't as expected with the description and i was very dissapointed with the condition of my room. Aswell as that it was absolutely freezing and the heaters were not working. Over all a bad it was a bad experiance.
