The bed was hard, and we killed a lot of mosquitoes in the room. The AC was sufficient and the location was great.

We got what we paid for, not the most expensive place to stay, so we get it. Hotel seriously needs some work and finding hairs under the sheets in a "cleaned" room, not o.k.

Love the convenience of The Anchorage. I come down for work and walking over to Smax after a long day of seeing customers is the perfect treat. We are a family of 6, so if my family wants to come along, we stay at our other favorite place (Blackbeards Lodge) but this is the perfect place for smaller groups.

The staff was excellent, especially Eenie at the front desk. The room, however, was always damp. Nothing would dry in it, paper became wilted, material felt damp constantly. A/c worked fine. Maybe it was just our room? Location was great!

The beds were hard and two pieces of wood extended out from one of the mattresses making for a safety hazard that’s not good for anyone especially with kids But Location great staff very nice & accommodating

Very helpful, central and relaxed

For an old hotel it was in good shape and very clean. Check in was nice and easy, they left our keys and we just went up to our room. Views are incredible and you can walk to just about anywhere in the village in less than 10 minutes.

Great location and friendly staff. Room was clean, however the property seems dated and could use some updates. Parking is not good, lot is small. Overall, a good experience.

Magnificent view, clean and quiet rooms. Good value. Parking was a challenge especially having to compete with the golf cart community that obviously were not guests of the hotel.

It was ok place to stay just need to fix something. The door was too small for the door jam. It had about a 1/4 inch gap that let mosquitoes in at night. It was clean.

Overall we had a great experience. We got in really late, and thankfully our key was set out in a box for us. The room was very clean. Fairly dated inside, and beds were a little hard. Checked in late and left early, so we weren't there long.

Great location

The location was the best for a view of Silver Lake. In the evening, a spectacular sunset lingered for us to enjoy from chairs outside our room. Shops, galleries, the harbor and restaurants were easily walkable, and the ferry to the mainland was nearby. Office staff were helpful in recommending their old favorite local spots for dinner and breakfast. The only drawbacks were that rental golf carts (a great thing in themselves) took a bit too much of the parking spaces, so we didn't dare drive anywhere once we parked. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing extraordinary, but I heard a strange clicking in the night (click beetles?) every time I woke up, and I found it a bit worrisome and disconcerting but slept pretty well nonetheless.

A good place to stay! Across from the marina with great views. Nice pool. Nothing fancy which we don’t need fancy - clean and comfortable room. Great location.

Needed internet access was not provided with password. Or user id. Old fixxtures tv small bed so so .I feel cheated this hotel is at best 1 star.

All was well. Light on 4th. Floor at the elevator was not working. Really dark at night time. However, great stay. I will recommend and stay again.

Be careful booking. I booked a harbor veiw room for my mothers birthday and it was a room with a view of the parking lot and a white fence. No harbor view at all. Very disappointing especially since it was for a special occasion. The manager couldn't have cared less. The place was full so we had no choice and nothing was offered for the false advertisement. Extremely disappointing.

Good news. Our key and instructions were left for us to find after office was closed so thank you! We never saw any staff. Room was not clean and coffee machine didn’t work. Location was great however. Also. Noisy neighbors. Thin towels and sheets. Very dissapointing but adequate for one night.

just an ok place to stay. clean but definately needs some TLC. room humidity made the room very wet feeling and uncomfortable. beds were very hard and pillows were flat. they are pet friendly which i have no problem but there was a large dog with a loud bark that had obviously been left alone. very nice pool area across the street. glad we only stayed one night.

Definitely suited our needs - convenient, great views, beds were really uncomfortable however.

Older hotel, clean, very close to ferry .

Found it a bit discerning that there was no staff on site. Parking was difficult because of construction and golf carts, had to find envelope with name in basket and then search for entry to access upper levels. Fortunate that we had no issues with room! Otherwise, loved the interior of room and location.
