Hotel was very convenient and was a good price for the area. What let it down was the condition of the bathroom. Pros: Hotel is in a really handy location for getting about in this area. The food shops in the service area were really useful. Price was good for the area - you get what you pay for. Room was very basic, no toiletries, no hairdryer, no cups for tea or coffee - but you can get these at reception on request (although there were no hairdryers when I requested one). Staff were friendly. Parking is free if you input car details on the screen at reception. Cons: The bathroom was not clean. There was dust in several places, mould on the tiles and shower screen, staining in the toilet, dirt on the floor. I don't mind basic, but the level of cleanliness was not acceptable. It needs more attention to detail and a bit of bleach. Cushion on the fold away bed was stained. The television had basic channels but no subtitles (which I use when I'm watching).

Room stunk of old smoke. Curtains were dirty and stunk of smoke. Only a paper cup to make a cuppa in the morning. TV remote didn't work. Very limited food available within the service area. I will not stay there again

It was convenient for the purpose i required it, however the bed was terrible and there were no facilities to speak of in the room.

A great place to have a basic motel on a service station. All we needed was somewhere to sleep where we were dropped off after our coach holiday to the South Coast. As it is a service station plenty of places to eat and buy basic essentials.

Cheap hotel but not price

Was not value for money, reception and most of upstairs stank of cigarettes, carpets in hall worn and threadbare in places, room not the cleanest, weird smell, 2nd bed not made on arrival, black hairs in bath and pungent smell from toilet, toilet then leaked all over floor, only saving Grace was the lovely woman on reception who at first made the second bed up then had to move us rooms due to the toilet issue. Without her would have given 1 star. It wasn’t what I would call a budget price either.

At this outdated motel, we endured a 20-minute wait for check-in with no attendant at the reception. The room lacked heating, had bare floors, and was missing a bin. This has been the worst hotel experience of my life. I will never return to or recommend this motel.

Where to start? The room is very dirty, the bed is harder than the floor, the television is very small, I have been there for 3 days. During that time, they did not come in to clean the room, they did not come in to make the bed, they did not come in to change the beds. bathroom towels, and on top of that the wifi doesn't work at all, the guy said it had broken that day in 3 days he couldn't fix it and it didn't work, then I was looking at comments on Google with my mobile phone and more people complained that The wifi didn't work 1 month ago,

Very basic accommodation. Beware the parking charge system. The hotel reception does not make you aware that stays of longer than 2 hours require you to pay for parking!! £60 fine minimum

We were in a ground floor room. There were children constantly running around in the room above. The noise was terrible. The receptionist went up and complained to them. It made no difference. I suspect that the hotel has recently started taking in asylum seekers. It would have been nice to have been informed because we stay here on business every 3 weeks. We won't be going there again and I suggest that anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful stay avoids this hotel at all costs.

The bathroom requires major cleaning and units replaced. I opted not to use the shower due to the state of the showerhead and bathtub. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Plus the lack of any wifi or phone signal on the bottom floor made it impossible to relax. Although there is a kettle and instant coffee, no cups in which to make anything.

Dirty, no toilet roll, everything broken

What a dire place this is!! We, unfortunately, spent 2 nights here. The mattress was so hard my whole body aches. The pull out single bed had a very old, very tired and dirty, thin mattress. Every single spring could be felt. The ‘King’ bed is just a double. No carpets. The sofa was liquid stained with who know what! At nearly £85 a night it wasn’t worth it by any means. No WiFi. It advertises noise proof rooms!! What a lie. We could hear everyone. Free toiletries consist of 2 sachets of shower gel. The only good thing was the shower.

No WiFi beds where very hard and uncomfortable room's to do with decorating and wasn't that clean very expensive for what you get disappointed

It is pretty shabby, surrounded by parked trucks, and no Wi Fi! Have recently removed bottles of shampoo and now provide 2 sachets of shower gel. A fine place for 1 night if you need to get up and out quickly the next day, but not a destination in any way shape or form

The property overall is ok, but the comfort levels are poor, the bath was dirty and the beds were solid, for a motorway stop for the need to rest before another long drive, clean and comfortable facilities would be a better option

This place is very basic. Paid £74 for the room and stayed in much better places and paid £45-50. No light in toilet at all as it must have just broke...yeah right. Double bed was like a rock and could feel every spring in sofa bed. Very poor accommodation even for just a quick stop over to get your head down. Should be ashamed at charging so much for so little!!

Room was not tidy - especially the bathroom with a lot of hair around the sink and in the bath. The sofa was far from clean with lots of marks on it. Reception were not friendly. Whole place smelt stale.

Room was OK but towels and bathmat were damp. Fortunately spare towel in cupboard was dry. Connected to free WiFi but no internet. Woken up at 6.15am by continuous noise from room above - so no soundproofing.

Very tired property. Landing floors feel as they are going to give way. Carpets frayed and dirty. No coffee or drinks in room. Could do with a thorough clean and spruce up

Booking in was easy for 5 rooms for 14 people. Clean and everything that was needed for over night stay. There is no ventilation apart from approximately 6 inch gap in the window on security wire. No-one got a wink of sleep. Even most budget hotels have fans in rooms. Wouldnt stay again

The hotel is very basic, but we’ll laid out rooms. The bathroom was a bit battered, and the shower screen allowed water all over the floor. 2 sachets of shampoo and body wash, and the smallest pick of soap ever
