My wife and I are frequent world travelers and we like to stay in high end properties. That said, this hotel was in the top 3 of hotels I've stayed in worldwide. The service was wonderful--upon check in we were greeted with a choice of beverage and some delicious snacks while we waited on comfortable couches for check in to be complete. We got there early (8:30 AM) and did not expect our rooms to be ready, but they were and we got access immediately. From there, any ask we had was fulfilled immediately with friendliness and speed. Additionally, the hotel itself is beautiful from the decor to the furniture. Our room was very large with a sitting area and a big bathroom, even though we stayed in the lowest room category (as we did not expect to be in the hotel much). Temperature outside was extremely hot but the AC in the room kept up and our room was very pleasant temperature-wise. Additionally, the hotel is located in a perfect place, a nicer area in Istanbul that is easy walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, along with other attractions. The hotel restaurant was also extremely good, and there are other excellent restaurants right nearby. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Istanbul!!

The hotel is beautiful; however, they charged us double what we booked it at (NOT worth the price) and nowhere is it mentioned that men and women are not allowed in the pool at the same time. We booked this hotel because it had a pool, but were informed after our arrival yhat women are allowed to swim only from 6am to 8am, then men; why would we want to stay at a hotel where we cannot participate in the amenities together? Complete rip off.

When we checked in, we were told that we had to pay a daily hygiene/service fee (12 euros per day). After a brief argument, the hotel decided not to do so. When booking the room, all usual room services should be included.

Fantastic experience. Will definitely return to AJWA the next time we are in Istanbul. All members of the Ajwa Team are willing to go the extra mile. Accommodated us without question with an early check in and late check out. Whether requesting towels from housekeeping or a taxi from the concierge, all requests are accommodated asap! The service alone warrants five starts without even taking into consideration the great location and timeless decor. One of my best hotel going experiences. Keep up the good work.

AJWA Sultan Suites is beautifully designed boutique hotel located walking distance from all the major historical Ottoman Empire attractions. Our room was spectacular and the people and service was five star. We had a beautifully designed room in the style of charm and Turkish accents with a gorgeous view of the Bospherous. The hotel staff was extremely generous with us and made us feel completely welcome and part of the family. I’d highly recommend this hotel over any of the other larger hotel chains if you want a unique and authentic experience of Turkey with a historical flair and pristine hospitality.

Well located luxury property in Sultanahmet. Walkable if you are in shape and mobile. Close to old city attractions. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast definitely overpriced. AC could be colder. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is located close to many of the city’s attractions. It takes about 10-15 minutes of walking to reach these site attractions. The hotel is very clean and its staffs are friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend it!

Comfortable stay and lovely service. Great location walking distance from Blue Mosque and Saint Sophia. Can walk to the Grand Bazaar. Galata tower is a nice scenic 35min walk too. So great location with lots to see

Our room was modern with a lovely bathroom, large and comfortable bed, and large windows that allowed the fresh air and sunlight come in. The staff are particularly warm, professional, and deliver excellent service. The hotel is on a small cobble stone street, about a 15 minute walk to the main tourist sites, and there are several cafes nearby. The welcome beverage and cold towel service was a very nice touch! The restaurant is a disappointment, which is very unfortunate. It lacks personality. The environment is unwelcoming. This could easily get remedied by getting rid of the bird sounds and replacing it with more lively music that will allow customers to enjoy the food and the views. The environment is a critical part of the experience and the hotel can do much better by learning and executing on this concept. The same must be said about the lobby: replace the light bulbs by adding light that is warm and welcoming and add trees in pots and flowers to soften the environment and the beautiful furniture (which is beautiful, by the way). We would certainly stay there again mostly because of the comfort of the rooms.

A luxurious hotel coupled with very attentive and polite staff. We had a wonderful stay, nice place to go back to after a whole day walking the busy streets of Istanbul. I think the only thing we are not used to is the separated times when a male and female can use the spa facilities which does prevent families from swimming together, which I think is why hardly anybody used the facilities during our stay, but at the same time we must respect their traditions. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful

The service was very good. The room was excellent. The only recommendation is that the hotel needs to assign a time without extra charge that the family couples can enjoy the pool and gym together as the hours for women and men was different.

Location not suitable for people with disablilities or other walking difficulties. The area is surrounded by steep hills, narrow cobbled streets with broken and loose stones. The staff are very enthusiastic and probably need to be aware of the difference between providing an excellent service and over selling their products and services.

From the time we arrived amd greater bult the door men, reception till we left we enjoyed the stay. Mari at concierge was amazing and so caring. Thank you to the entire team.

Beautiful property with excellent staff. Great place to stay if you want to truly experience Turkish culture in the middle of Istanbul’s old town. Most everything is very walkable from the property. We would stay here again when visiting Istanbul.

From the moment we arrived, we felt that the hospitality was above and beyond at the AJWA. It’s the boutique, intimate level of experience that I prefer with hotels. Every attendant remembers you by name and room number. You have a personal assistant to help you for anything you need during your stay. For example, I needed something from the pharmacy, so they sent someone to get it for me and they brought back the item and receipt and I just paid them, but it was so much more convenient than me having to run out and try to find a pharmacy. I also needed ice packs frozen and they would freeze them for me and then deliver them to my room. The evening turn down service is also so pleasant having your pillows fluffed every night. Oh, and their pillow menu is amazing! In addition to the pillows provided, there’s an extra pillow menu for you to choose additional pillows for your comfort. The breakfast every morning is exquisite. I highly recommend this hotel. Impeccable service, cleanliness, hospitality, and luxury.
