Hotel had a very luxurious feel; Rooms were spacious & of high quality. Staff were very friendly. Only delay in returning laundry services, just arrived before checking out.

We were at Nikolai Hotel for 6 nights and our stay was awesome. The room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was one of the best and the staff specifically at breakfast, all were really kind and helpful. No negative point to mention.

Overall very happy with the hotel, but very dissatisfied with the fact that it is listed as "Parking Available". Public parking is not "Parking Available". If so, all hotels in Hamburg have parking available as one had to walk 5-7 minutes for the nearest parking garage which in addition was over 30 EUR for a night.

Great location, everything you could possibly need in the rooms. The AC a little weak in the room. Close to Miniature Wonderland. Only 10 min walk and only 15 min walk to Rathaus.

Great hotel perfect position

Very elegant hotel! Beautifully decorated rooms with espresso machine, kettle, steam iron and mini bar. Staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. There is a buffet as well you can order from a menu. If you are driving you can park in front of the hotel to check in. The public parking lot less than a 5 minute walk. We absolutely loved the hotel and location!

Such a stylish, comfortable hotel. The kind of experience one expects from a luxury boutique hotel. We loved loved loved our stay; and plan to stay here any time we are in Hamburg.

Bar did not even have snacks, just drinks. Something happened with the kitchen and it was closed. Other than that, great hotel. Well appointed room, great bathroom with deep bath and separate shower.

Excellent staff. Secure lodging. Quiet yet convenient. Exceptionally well kept property. Definitely recommend.

Just nestled away between Hafencity, Alster Lake and Town Hall area so its quiet but not too far of a walk from everything

Lovely hotel, good location, spacious room.

I really enjoyed this property. My room was very comfortable and super stylish. There was nothing cookie-cutter about it. It felt like the room had been designed and decorated individually by someone of the highest taste and ability. There were lots of individual surprising touches, as well as plenty of attention on comfort and function. The area is quiet but near many things, including the philharmonic hall and the miniature museum -- both highly recommended. The hotel is pretty new, I think, so not all the dining options were in place, but it didn't matter. It's a stay I'll longer remember and one of my favorite ever.

The location was good and the staff was attentive. The fridge did not work and the maintenance for the toilet was a day later.

We had a great stay in Sir Nikolai in Hamburg. Beautiful hotel! Very tasteful decorated room and hotel in general! The room was quiet and the staff was very pleasant and serviceminded! We highly recomend Sir Nikolai!

A wonderful and unique place. I could only sing praises if there wasn‘t the subject of a credit owed but not refunded yet. I was given 2 adjacent suites which as a single traveler I did not need. So I requested a cancellation of one of the suites for the 2nd night which was agreed upon. However when checking out I was billed the full amount with the assurance(it was a Sunday) that the credit would be issued by accounting on Monday. I am still waiting. Sadly this clouded an otherwise wonderful experience.

Wonderful boutique hotel with clean, chic rooms (ours had a window to the canal), good space to work in, and complimentary drinks to work or start the evening off with. The spa was not quite ready yet but super cosy and pretty with windows to the canal, and a steam and a scandi sauna already in use (a jacuzzi pool will be in use soon too). The breakfast was excellent too with sparkling wine and warm dishes (like eggs benedict or pancakes) to order in addition to the buffet with a good selection for diets too (like vegan or vegetarian). The location is good with a 5 minute walk to the trains and less than 10 minutes from the downtown's walking/shopping street, and 15 minutes to the lake. And also on the south side, so a walking distance to the Ephilharmony and the surrounding blocks with nice cafes and restaurants.

A delightful boutique hotel right on one of Hamburg's famous canals. Close to HafenCity and the Elbphilharmonie and an easy 10 minute walk to Inner Alster . A young staff but they were excellent and ready to help make the stay great!

Excellent room, good location and friendly service. Only negative impression was the beakfast with dry bread and lukewarm coffee.
