First time in an apartment. So lucky to have chosen these rather than local hotels. Well furnished, comfy beds, all the facilities you could need. Will definitely go back.

Great location, with Gunwharf keys on the doorstep

Great location. We parked our car and ventured out everywhere on foot. The flat had everything we needed, though more spices and condiments in the cupboard would be a bonus in future. The bed wasn’t the most comfy and I noticed the bedroom curtains had a stain, as we visited in the summer we were woken by the sun at 5am, black out curtains could have been a winner there. The train does pass nearby and you will hear the train noise. Aside from those small niggles, it was a largely great stay.

I am waiting for someone to call me back from hotel.com we drove for 5 hrs to get there and never stayed came home it had a terrible musky dirty smell. Quilt on the bed had yellow all round the edges & black dots on it .floor was all sticky too terrible this was for my husbands birthday so unhappy

Me and my Partner stayed in this apartment last weekend for 3nights. Location is good. Shopping is just next door gunwharf quays. The apartment itself isn’t that appealing compare to the pictures i saw on the internet, to think its very expensive like 100pounds a night. Nothing special about the property thats the best word for it. I’ve seen better. Overall we had a good work in Portsmouth as always.

The staff were fantastic. The apartment was ok, could do with a freshen up and a new sofa.

Reserved for a one bedroom,king bed, with balcony.Was given a two bed apartment, with one en suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the grey concrete parking lot. The apartment looked okay at first glance. There were no clothes hangers at all. The fridge was rusty inside, there were sofas and extra chair covered up with blankets, upon inspection they had very bad stains on them. They should have been removed, as there were amble seats. The main washroom has bugs running underfoot, so we could not use. We paid over the odd for this apartment, and expected more. Would not recommend or revisit. Very disappointed.

Only reason condition not excellent was problem with draughty window but this feedback was well received. Fantastic location and really beautiful apartment. Perfect for our stay in Portsmouth

Great location and nice size apartment and nicely decorated. Having to share one set of keys between 4 people is not practical or acceptable. There was a severe lack of crockery in the kitchen with no wine glasses so we had to buy our own and there were limited cups/mugs half of which were chipped.

Our stay was great overall. Our apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was very close to the amenities of the gun wharf quays with the ample amount of good restaurants and bars and shops.The corridor to our apartment had not been cleaned the length of our stay (4 days) there was something spilt on the carpet, (looked like a trail of feathers). This was a bit disappointing. Also the description of luxury/deluxe was a bit exaggerated as our living area wasnt as good a standard as the bedrooms and bathrooms. Just tiny details that didn't affect our stay but would have made a difference. The service from the staff was very good.

I'm not sure I'd call that a harbour view although you could see the sea. wasn't really a problem but we were overlooking the car park, naval sports fields and houses rather than a direct look out to sea, just like we had when we didn't have a harbour view property previously. Some things didn't work like any bedside lamps and the fan in the bathroom, the problems or a property that is only on short term let I guess. all said and done though fantastic place to stay, fabulous location and would stay here again

The apartment was in need of some repairs and redecoration, the bedroom carpet was very stained. The service we received was very good and building is well situated for shops, entertainment and local dockyard. However we were not told about the railway line behind the building this caused a constant clatter day and night.

The property we stayed in was no where near as luxurious as the pictures on the website. Our property was very tired throughout. It had a distinct aroma on arrival, this could have been due to furniture being repaired with sealant or someone smoking in it. There was a broken window, in the bedroom. The lights in the hall and sitting room did not work and none of the lights were dressed with shades. There was only enough seats for 2 people even though the flat was for 4 people. The radiator thermostat was broken off in the main bedroom. The boiler was incredibly noisy and quite erratic. The kitchen was poorly resourced, no chopping board, washing up bowl and what was there felt in need of replacing. The bathroom had a broken toilet handle. the shower head kept falling off and would not stay in place. I would have expected a power shower in such appartments and was disappointed that this was not the case. The bathrom felt dirty and there was mould on the tiles and the sealant, as well as rust on the shower curtain rail. All in all the appartment needed a facelift and was not as advertised. This was very disappointing for us, as we were so looking forward to our stay in Portsmouth.

So very, very glad we stayed here! The location was about a 5 min walk from the train/bus/ferry terminal right in the midst of a marvelous pedestrian shopping/dining complex. Very safe with every kind of restaurant you could want. The apartment was clean, comfortable and perfect for us with a to die for view of the Emirates Tower & the Harbour. Tesco grocery was 1 min walk away for necessities. Check in was really easy. We would absolutely stay here again.

I highly recommend Work, Rest and Stay if you are traveling to Portsmouth. My son had a week long internship in Portsmouth and our stay was made super pleasant due to our choice of Work, Rest and Stay for accommodations. Great location, a well appointed and super comfortable apartment and a fantastic view were all part of our experience. The service was first rate and the staff went more than the extra mile to return an item of sentimental value that we accidentally left behind. I will definitely choose Work, Rest and Stay for my next trip to Portsmouth.

Great spacious apartment, looking over Gunwharf, with a fantastic view out to the docks. It has all the facilities you would need for a break and you literally walk out the door and you are in the Gunwharf retail/restaurant area. Very helpful host, so all in all a great place to stay.

These are self catered flat's that work very well for my family. We made breakfast each morning. The flat's are just a short walk from loads of shopping, restaurants and attractions. However, they are very close to the train line which makes lots of noise. You will need earplugs if you leave the windows open. There is a Boots very close by to purchase them.
